It is a hotel just for sleeping! Internet worked great first night then intermittent the next two days!

I like to be able to walk to attractions so this hotel worked for me. Close to the harbor area and it's restaurants. A nice walk to the beach.

With Orbitz bucks applied, the room as $32. Bare bones for sure. A typical Mexican style place. There was a TV, but it was not hooked up. Very colorful. Nice staff. A good bar with sports on. We stayed just one night while waiting for another Orbitz package deal.

Staff was very welcoming and helpful. The location of the hotel is unbeatable!

Great location, very safe, huge room, comfortable beds, refrigerator in room (we asked for it at the time of booking), very nice view of the interior garden and pool, very clean, good American breakfast (we had to show the booking confirmation with the "breakfast included" highlighted - and they honor it, with a daily coupon available from the reception desk. However coffee or any other drinks are not included. The breakfast consists in two eggs (cooked in several different ways), bacon, fried beans, cheese bullets, toast, plus a nice bowl of fruit (pineapple, melon and mango). The bar offers happy hours two times a day, with two drinks at the price for one. The overall experience was very enjoyable and we did not even feel the need of having a TV set in the room. We spent the afternoons in the garden, by the pool, enjoying our tequila and not even paying attention at the huge LCD TV facing the pool from the terrace of the restaurant/bar. We had a very nice one week vacation at Mar de Cortez.

Hotel is affordable, clean, safe and nice pool in middle of hotel. Hotel is good location for staying in downtown cabo, close to restaurants, bars and clubs. Hotel has free bottled water throughout hotel and has a great cheap breakfast. Its about 20 min walk to beach. I would definitely stay here again.

It was a quick trip for my so I did not spend a ton of time at the hotel or in my room. It was perfect for my trip, not too expensive and had the necessary amenities. The food in the restaurant was good. I did not get a chance to go in the pool but it looked clean and inviting. The grounds were well kept and full of beautiful lush gardens. They also provided free bottled water. I would stay there again.

Due to loud noise coming from the very close by pool party that lasted long into the night, our experience was not good.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. They are very friendly & helpful. The decor is great, along with the pool & restaurant/bar on site. It is right in the middle of everything you want to see & do. The only thing about distance is from the airport, but there are plenty of shuttle lines to help with that. If I had to say anything I didn't like, it would be the lack of t.v.'s in any room. Not that you would want to watch a whole bunch of t.v. while in this beautiful place, but every now & then when you take a little downtime to rejuvenate, it would help. Overall, I was here on vacation alone and was super comfortable.

Loved our room we Overlook the garden in the pool everyday every-night very close walking distance for everything and anything we wanted ventured up a couple blocks to local restaurants very safe very friendly people was a excellent place we will go back

Hotel is walking distance from all the clubs if you're going to go out drinking but this is bad when you're trying to sleep after an exhausting flight and activities filled day or go to sleep early on the regular. There was NO tv and stiff beds was the biggest downside. Yummy breakfast!

we stayed here before a couple times in fact same time last year we were here but on this trip loud drunk rowdy kids everywhere.

Excellent location, can walk to anything in Cabo. The bar has one of the best happy hours and the food is good. Staff was more than helpful and were great. Check-in and Check-out was hassle free. The rooms were clean and house keeping was on it every day. Beds were not the best, a little hard. But the rooms were good enough for a night rest and back at it again the next day. AC worked perfect.

Located right in the heart of the tourist district this hotel is close to everything! Easy walks to the marina, beaches, and restaurants. It's open air courtyard and established palm trees create a lovely ambiance in the terrace and pool area. The restaurant is very slow and the food is always cold. However we were not forced to buy breakfast (an additional fee that orbitz warns you about). A famous $5 fruit cup is available on the corner and many cheap breakfasts are available in the barrio. Compared to friends and family, we were given a lower quality room. Inquiry at the front desk said this was due to the rate we paid. Family members who also booked though Orbitz received free upgrades. The room was clean and comfortable, as well as very private. But our dresser was broken to the point of being unusable. We asked to be moved once and were told no. I would ask to be moved a second time if assigned the same room again because the dresser was so frustrating. Overall, I enjoyed the hotel more than most of Cabo! It's a cute spot and easy to enjoy your time there.

Had a very nice time there and loved the location. Our room was nice, could have had a bigger bathroom. No shelvs to but your toiletries on. The beds were comfy and the maid did a nice job of keeping our room tidy.

It's at city center of Cabo San Lucas which gives you easy access from the city to the beach. Walking distance to restaurants, bar, and activities. Internet was free but at times too slow for use.

Our family loves staying here because of the location and the price. The rooms are nothing fancy but the rest of the hotel has such a quaint feel to it. The pool area and the bar/restaurant area are the place to be. And the staff are so friendly and offer great suggestions for other things to do. Highly recommend this place!!!

Wonderful great location in the center of town. Food was great in the small restraraunt prices were fantastic a full breakfast eggs bacon beans toast fruit and coffee $4.00 !! Happy hours 2 for 1, very nice pool, clean but spartan rooms ( no tv) but lots of hot water !! Would definitely go back great value !!

As soon as we arrived they charged us an extra $20 for our prepaid room. The beds were like sleeping on rooks. No TV or phone in the room. The bathroom has an open window that you can't close so flies and mosquitos get in your room. We paid extra for a pool view and got stuck next to the street with no pool view. The gym next door plays super loud techno music beginning at 6:30AM which comes right thru the paper thin walls and open bathroom window. Stay away.

So where to begin....first night I was so exhausted from being up all day and night at a wedding so I got to the hotel literally just to sleep. When I woke up I noticed i had red bumps (bites) on my chest and lower back but I just thought maybe it was just me and went on with my day walking around exploring cabo. Well that night when I got back to the hotel I was about to lay my baby on the bed when I moved the sheets and saw there were little crawlers-----yes bed bugs!! So I went to the front desk to inform the front desk. The clerk decided to try to move me upstairs well turns out that room had bed bugs as well....then we tried a 3rd room same problem. Apparently the entire hotel was Infested. I informed the clerk I could not stay there especially since I had a 6 month old with me. The clerk said he would call around see of another hotel had availability. Well he comes to me after about 45 mins and tells me Tesoro Resort had availability and that it would be 1,500 pesos for the night. Upon arriving at Tesoro the front desk informs me they do not take guests after 12am and cost for the night was 3,300 pesos which then I realized the clerk at mar de Cortez lied to me. He just wanted to send me away. So inconsiderate on his part it was after 1am when I arrived at Tesoro with my baby asleep. Tesoro employee stated he informed the clerk at Mar de Cortez I couldn't be accepted. Terrible inconsiderate customer service and did I mention bed bug infested!!!
