Holiday Inn Resort Los Cabos All Inclusive

3.5 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

Food is excellent - bars at every pool - easy to get around- staff is wonderful... The surf is undertow dangerous so no swimming in the ocean. But the ocean water is at least 50-100 yards from the resort - so we rarely would go there except for long walks.... That distance also keeps the "white pants" jewelry vendors far away from the resort which I liked.

Even though it's cheaper than other hotels, you will end up concluding it was better to spend several hundred more to get better quality and variety of food, activities that can make your stay more interesting and drinks that you can enjoy. They make pina colada so sweet I can use it for cake topping. You can survive for 3-4 days but after that you start counting days pretty much

We have gone to this resort for many years, & what keeps us coming back are the staff, they are awesome & have truly become friends.

The staff was kind, courteous and very welcoming. The pools, restaurants were clean and inviting and the beach was big! My only critique was the food and adult drinks were just okay at best. Options were limited, and spirits were very cheap Domestic Brands with no options to upgrade even for $. Overall, this is a fun, family friendly option in San Jose del Cabo.

I really enjoyed my stay in the City. The hotel was more dated than I expected, but not horrible. I would not stay here again but normally never visit the same place twice. Hotel staff was super friendly and helpful. The food was my main complaint as I only had breakfast there. Good location and great service just normally choose a nicer hotel. Rooms are kinda hard to find as well.

The hotel is very nice for the price we paid. Check in was a breeze. All the staff are very friendly. Elva at the pool bar is amazing! The food was good and the a la carte restaurant was also very good. If you want a 5 star, this is not the hotel for you but overall it was a great stay!

Had a very pleasant stay -Hotel is on the other side of everything so make sure you understand that. Nice pools and good food- great bar service! We had some trouble with taxi's but this was our first Cabo trip, now we know the drill. Spent a good time at resort and would return to this next trip. Found no need to go into town for superbowl party Resort set up place but way too many fans! great time but not enough chicken wings-NOTE to Hotel, send snacks to ALL the Bars! Lots of Canadians and couples with kids--please is great for families.

This hotel is easy, laid back, friendly cozy safe place with in minutes of a lot of hidden amazing places, do your research, take the bike tour asap they will give you a lot of little details and go be adventurous, YOU will love it!

This hotel is a very good bargain for the price. We got ours at the price of a regular non-inclusive hotel because of discounts from purchasing air & car rental. The rooms are comfortable and the ocean view rooms have a fantastic view of the Sea of Cortez, relaxing balconies, good size rooms. We saw sting rays in the waters close to shore though you can still wade along the shorelines. Tennis courts and ping pong available. Good resort amenities. Food was good and varied from day to day. Entertainment was so-so. The only negative things I have to say about this hotel is that you have to roll your luggage across several tiled hallways and it is very noisy doing that. If you have guests with nighttime or early morning departures that would be annoying hearing all that rolling noise across the tile seals, disturbing sleep. The rooms could use a little updating, but overall comfortable enough for a few nights. Great staff. There is only one buffet restaurant which can get busy sometimes but the food is plentiful. They have a-la carte dining though we didn't eat there. I would stay here again.

I was thinking mexico when you go to mexico it was not authentic mexican food no other beer just tecate not to many options of tequillas

Great experience, enjoyed the stay and the shows. Great ocean view from my room.

Second trip to this resort. Highly likely to return again. Great value and exceptional staff.

Conftable room, you can order room service in your all inclusive without extra charge!

All staff are beyond super friendly! Drinks and food were good we had a excellent time we will be coming back again.

First few days were good. Hotel response after cat 1 storm was deplorable. The room had an inch of water in it. Air was out. Bar was closed until 2 pm. They kept moving bar opening every hour by an hour. Pools was..were either filed with furniture or sand. They were using the pool to wash large trash cans. Our flight was cancelled so we had to stay another day. At 6:30 pm we were called to the front desk and asked to pay a rate that rate that was doubled. I explained that that was more than we originally paid. There was no air, pool, pool bar closed, they were out of towels....... What would anyone expect to pay for one night. The front desk manager mr caudillo was disrespectful telling us our room was almost three hundred a night and we were getting a deal. He was very rude. We asked for the manager in charge and were told it was him and no one else would help us. We told him we were going by to think about it and check our funds- went back to the room and we were locked out. Thankfully we had left the sliding door open. We packed our bags and left for the airport best western for a lot less money with air conditioning. I went by the desk to get the managers name and there were notes by the front desk that others were paying less to stay the night. We would have gladly paid one hundred and they refused to let us stay for that amount.

This is a no frills place, but the service was wonderful. Anything we wanted the staff would go out of their way to get it for us. Would stay again. Remember, it's a holiday inn. Don't expect the ritz Carlton

excellent staff poolside Bartdender name Noe and A La Cartè Restaursnt waiter Jesus my hat off to this Gentlemen. They go the extra mile for u to feel at home...

Staff were very friendly. Service was great. It was my husbands bday and did a little decoration at the room. Food was great. Only one encounter was the restaurant in front of beach told us we had to eat before eating and meanwhile they can start cooking, but when we come back he said he had given it awat. Other than that everything was great. 4.9

Great experience. Rooms clean but not new. Could use some updating but everything in the room worked and was comfortable. Room had a fridge which is a plus, but not stocked with sodas or anything. Comes in handy to keep waters cold though. Bottled waters are limited. Only two in the room per day. If you ask for extras they will bring them so don't be shy. Room was cleaned every day and always done perfectly. Walls are thin! New neighbor second night into trip was a snorer and actual woke me up it was so loud and annoying. Be aware that walls dont do much to keep the sound out so bring ear plugs in case there is a noisy neighbor. Activity Pool was great but too warm and no wait service for the bar or food so you have to get up and get your own drinks from the bar. Not a deal breaker but unusual for me, as most of my Cabo hotel stays have pool wait staff. Buffet food was fine, not excellent but ok. Breakfast buffet was probably the best. For most of my other meals I went to the ala cart restaurant which was always GREAT. Always very pleased at the restaurant rather lunch or dinner. So do breakfast buffet but stick to the restaurant for lunch and dinner and you will be very well fed and happy. Unfortunate but the spa was temporarily closed down on day two of my vacation. Not the hotel's fault, but find an alternative spa location in town before you go if a massage is a must for you... just in case. If spa is open when you are there then use them as they are great.

We never knew Holiday Inn had resorts and were skeptical about staying at a small 'non-destination' resort. And that isn't a bad thing. We've read the reviews and must agree, it's a solid 3.5 to 4. The food was average american style buffet, nothing to write home about but plentiful; food that was supposed to be served hot was hot, cold food was cold. The choices did become a little repetitious but for the cost of the hotel, we didn't feel guilty walking into town to try some local places. The service was good, punctual, and friendly. The pools we clean and room was good. Agreeing with some people and their experience with the internet, our room did not have a good signal. I saw the access point out our front balcony and it appeared a seagull landed on the transmitter and it was pointed at the ground. No big deal, we sat on the balcony or at the pool and had great service. We felt very safe walking the main strip either to the other hotels or downtown. Never was pressured for a time share pitch or anything. Nor were we harassed by the people selling trinkets. The mega (and sbux) is about 20 minutes away and downtown 15-sh. I would stay there again and use it for a safe, quiet, and clean! place to stay.
