We stayed here 2 years ago and loved it! Went back this May and were very disappointed with the food! The breakfast buffet was fine (loved the egg station with a personal cook) and lunch was ala carte at the restaurant. That food was good.Dinner was the problem. Last time we could go to the buffet or the restaurant and order ala carte. This time we didn't have a choice! Only the buffet was available and it wasn't good! The restaurant was only open 1 night out of 5 and the food details online didn't tell us that or we would have looked for a different resort!. I didnt like the dinner buffet the first time we went and always went to the restaurant. The staff told us it would be open tomorrow everyday and it never was! There was also anerexic cats on the buffet terrace when you ate. Who want that? Also they have draft beer and you didn't know what it was. And it wasn't good! And we were limited to 2 bottles of water a day! The pools and rooms are clean. A little outdated but not a big deal. Although you don't want a room on the third floor. Very tiny patio and we had to pay an extra 100 to upgrade to the second floor this time. 2 years ago we thought we found a gem for the price.We noticed big changes that weren't positive and will be looking for a different resort next time!

The hotel staff were great kind and friendly. The rooms were clean, the beds very comfortable with the best pillows. Close to the beach and shuttles available to go into town.

It is a ok and affordable hotel. If you want a quiet place , this is the place. Not much to do . Beach is not for swim , rough water. Most of the staff don’t speak inglês. Food was good , especially the fish tacos. At dinner the buffet was always cold for my taste. If I go back to los Cabos , I wouldn’t stay here again. I would go to cabos San Lucas . Better hotels and beach .

Beautiful beach front location but a bit disappointed that we were not able to swim there so no beach swimming this trip just pool. Kids had a blast at the pools! Bartenders were fantastic at the swim-up bar! Staffs were super nice and friendly. Food were good some of the days and their Asian sushi night attempt was a complete desaster, rice was under cooked and they ran out of food! Lol. Also a bit confusing as to which restaurant open which date and time. Possibly due to low occupancy during our stay so they probably can’t afford to have everything open which required more staff. Restaurant on the beach was reliable, fish tacos were fantastic and catch of the day was fresh. Overall, great trip and deal thru Orbitz was well worth it

The staff was very friendly, helpful and spoke English. They upgraded our room to an ocean view for no cost and without me asking. A few tips: -Sunscreen is $22 per bottle at the hotel store. Buy it at home and bring more than you might need. (Might be cheaper at the La Comer grocery store) -Azul Estero requires a reservation for dinner. You need to get up early and sign up at the breakfast buffet to get a spot. A little bit of a pain, but it was worth it. You don't need reservation for lunch, but the service is not great. Food is still really good though. -There will be lots of families and kids, but the kids pool and family pool were the best, even for just my wife and I. Both have a swim up bar and plenty of space to not get splashed. The adults only pool was lame, farther away and no swim up bar. There is a hot tub, but I think you pay extra b/c it is part of the spa. -Bring your own large drink up with a closed lid and straw. Bar tenders will make excellent mixed drinks right in your cup. The cups they provide are small. alcohol is watered down as I was drinking large pina coladas all day and barely feeling it. No hangovers. -This resort is the farthest away from the La Comer grocery store and bus stop to San Lucas (~1 mile). Wife and I walked back and forth two days in a row and that got tiring. (You can take the Urbanos local bus or taxi, but we didnt) - Upgrade to ground floor room for easier access from pool. Bathroom is close to family pool, but not the others.

This is a great option if visiting Cabo with young kids. There are a few different pools and a water slide area that are very kid friendly. The staff was flexible and courteous.

My family vacation at the holiday inn los cabos was just ok. The hotel needs a deep cleaning everything seemed dirty. The pool chairs the tables by the pool the grounds and so on all were littered with trash.

This was our 2nd stay at this resort. The Staff is Excellent, swim up bar- bartender's are my favorite (Octavio & Camero). Food gets old, so venture into town, The Tropicana restaurant was GREAT, & just a short walk from the resort.

We enjoyed it! Needs improvement in the Buffet and more relaxing tables to sit at away from the buffet to play cards.

Holiday Inn resort much exceeded our expectations. The grounds were lovely and well maintained. The staff extremely kind and helpful, the accommodations clean and comfortable. Breakfast food was incredible. Lots of choices about food and recreation. It was like a cruise, except not on the water, unless you wanted to be.

All-inclusive food and beverage was much better than expected. Plenty of food variety and food was available at just about any time of day. There was entertainment in some form every night. The ocean was steps away from the hotel.

I've stayed at the Holiday Inn Sunspree in Montego Bay, so I assumed it would be similar in terms of size and service. This property is actually alot more updated. It has 2 pools with one having an additional kiddie section. Each pool has a swim up bar. The buffet had decent food choices. I didn't realize the property had an A La Cart section til my last day bc I think I was misinformed during check in. Their food was actually good with burgers, pizza and a fish choice. 20 mins from the airport and beach access with an amazing view. I would Definetly stay here again.

Excellent friendly / honest staff ! Exceptional front desk staff- very friendly / helpful and accommodating. Hotel was VERY good value for the dollar. Food was excellent . Grayline Tour guide in the lobby (Sebastien) was extremely helpful ! Overall Hotel Rating - Highly recommended.

Overall, you get what you pay for. The staff was always attentive. Johnny at the la carta gave you the best service! And Noe at the bar always made the best drinks! I never had a problem with margaritas nor pina coladas. It’s not top shelf alcohol but it does it’s job! The food at the buffet was not the greatest but you can always find something you like — they always had fresh fruit which was nice. The hotel is a bit far from everything else but close to the airport. (20 minutes) all together, we had a good time here, and the staff made sure to always be helpful!

On the beach and short walk downtown. Ocean view restaurant was amazing

lacated at the end of the strip as described, quiet. the hotel staff were very eager to assit with any questions. Had an answer to make it very comfortable.

I have to what 3 hrs in the lobby for my room No room ready Everyday same food U can’t go inside of water this’s open ocean No show as in all the resorts U have to pay us40 one way to go to another 40ft by 40 ft beach to go inside of water

Had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay. They have an adult ( quiet pool) that we loved and Alma at the adult pool bar is wonderful. She has been on staff 36 years! They also put on a nice event on New Years Eve so we didn't leave the grounds! 15-20 min walk into town and no concerns of feeling unsafe.

Beautiful setting. The buffet food can be a bit better. And it can use another resteraunt when it gets busy, you are waiting in line for ever.

not the same as our last visit.....

Good afternoon Jenniger! This little note to thank you so much for coming back to our Holiday Inn Resort Los Cabos, I'm really sad to know you did not have a good experience on your last trip. I know it is hard to accept how after an excellent vacations, you comeback to the same place and many things have changed. I'm so sorry for every detail mentioned for you that did not achieve your expectations, trust me when I say we will verify the food thing since it is one f the most important parts of an all inclusive, we cannot advertise something and offer a different thing. There were certain changes that I have to tell you are necessary, when you reserve certain room category you of course will get what you paid for, you may get sometimes a free upgrade according to the availability but that does not mean that all the time will be the same specially when you know what kind of room you reserved. About water, I have to tell you that many people wasted a lot of water, we always found bottles of water half fill and it is not really nice to spread water all the time, as an eco-friendly company we have to work on this situation and we really appteciate your understanding on this matter. I will make sure to share your message with the management and the whole staff in order we can improve everything we have to and be able to be the hotel we used to be and the one you loved the first time. Thank you again for take some of your valuable time for sharing your experience, this will help a lot to rise the service quality. Have a great weekend!

The hotel staff were great kind and friendly. The rooms were clean, the beds very comfortable with the best pillows. Close to the beach and shuttles available to go into town.

It is a ok and affordable hotel. If you want a quiet place , this is the place. Not much to do . Beach is not for swim , rough water. Most of the staff don’t speak inglês. Food was good , especially the fish tacos. At dinner the buffet was always cold for my taste. If I go back to los Cabos , I wouldn’t stay here again. I would go to cabos San Lucas . Better hotels and beach .

This is a great option if visiting Cabo with young kids. There are a few different pools and a water slide area that are very kid friendly. The staff was flexible and courteous.

2nd time, still great!

This was our 2nd stay at this resort. The Staff is Excellent, swim up bar- bartender's are my favorite (Octavio & Camero). Food gets old, so venture into town, The Tropicana restaurant was GREAT, & just a short walk from the resort.

wonderful family resort

Holiday Inn resort much exceeded our expectations. The grounds were lovely and well maintained. The staff extremely kind and helpful, the accommodations clean and comfortable.
