The pictures portrayed on Orbitz are exaggerated. the property has a hispanic style style to it with big foyer and small gift/convenience shop. It is almost like a motel in that all the room doors face out to the walkway. The pool are was nice and the kids said the water was super warm. My only interaction with staff was at check and the gentleman was friendly. The property was clean and although the rooms were larger than normal they were run down. There were outlets that did not work, the phone in my room had no dial tone and the headset was replaced but too big for the cradle. Bathrooms were clean but shower grout was a little to be disired. The rates were cheap and we were traveling on a budget so it worked for us

Immediately checked out. Hotel is rundown, mostly long-term residence that stay there. Not appropriate place to stay for vacation had to find another hotel the same night . Orbitz tried to get me a refund and they refused! Complete misrepresentation. Uninhabitable. Read the reviews

I like the room design which includes a couch with a pullout bed in the rooms. Would like to see them improve the Wi-Fi access as I was at the back of the hotel and could not get connected to their "free" Wi-Fi amenity the entire stay, even with following the suggestions of the front desk staff. Will most likely stay here again but will be requesting a room closer to the front of the hotel where the Wi-Fi signal is stronger.

You can tell the property was once a nice high end place to vacation. Unfortunately, the years have not been too kind. The rooms were adequate, beds were comfortable, and the room was relatively clean. But they would definitely benefit from a renovation. The AC in many of the rooms worked, but not terribly well and did not work at all in at least one of the 5 rooms we rented for our team's stay. Overall, it was a decent property for the price we paid, and has a ton of potential to be very nice. Currently though, it is just a bit shabby.

There were multiple people living in the hotel, bags of dirty clothes sitting in walk ways, garbage piled up, room smelled like bug spray, beds were extremely hard, no tv in the couch area just a hole in the wall where it looked like someone stole the tv. Elevator reeked of smoke to the point we took the stairs. Definitely would not stay again.

This property was filthy, they put me in a room that I did not reserve, the elevators didn’t work, the towels were dirty, the blankets were dirty. Everything in general was not good.

I stay in a considerable amount because my sons play travel baseball. I can't afford to always stay in $180 a night rooms, so I'm always looking for value places to stay. Vanllee is interesting because it looks beautiful in the online pictures, yet the reviews are awful. You always have to take the reviews with a grain of salt because people are overly critical For starters, I was super annoyed because they wouldn't cancel my room. My sons tournament was changed to a city nowhere near West Covina where we originally were scheduled, but the hotel insisted they would not refund me so I was stuck here. It put me in a foul mood from the jump You can't help but be struck by the beauty of the place. The architecture, grounds, and layout are phenomenal and all it takes is a little imagination to picture what this hotel looked like in its heyday The rooms are not terrible. They are very large suites with comfortable beds, couches and chairs, and decent furnishings. The shower had plentiful hot water and good water pressure Now for the downside: Wi-Fi was terrible. Couldn't get anything better than a "weak" connection and staff continued to tell me that would reset the router but I don't think anyone knew how Breakfast was embarrassing. It is served in a dingy banquet room, the food was subpar, and it was a poor experience I had a mouse in my room. Scared the crap out of me when it ran by me.
