Starting with the positive, the staff was very warm and extremely helpful when questions regarding directions arised. Truly disheartening because other than the staff, the experience was terrible. I was in LA to work and simply needed the hotel for 2 nights to sleep after working events into the early morning. Unfortunately, my room was located right behind the reception desk-- which I was not made aware of upon booking. I could hear the TV as if it was in my room and conversations in the lobby we're easily heard. After laying in bed for 2 hours trying to sleep after a 12 hour shift, I had to leave my room and ask the gentlemen in the lobby to turn down the TV. He was very apologetic, however there was no blocking out the additional noise carried throughout the lobby. Also, the beds are extremely uncomfortable and I left with severe back pain and sleep deprived. The couple arguing in the hallway in the early hours of the morning was also a great touch. Would not recommend at all as you're paying to basically sit in a room and not be able to sleep.

This hotel looked like a bad Saturday night with call girls. The man at the counter barely spoke to me. He just took my credit card and went to swipe it, without even telling me what amount he was swiping for. I finally get to the room and walked inside to find 2 double beds with dingy down comforters. When the air conditioner was turned on a huge bug scurried out of the vent and I was totally grossed out. Took a shower the next morning and the soap smelled like flea and tick remover...I was just happy I survived the night without bed bugs.

the staff were friendly when i arrived... i was greeted by a giant roach, and the room had dirty furniture i asked them to take it away they did but the next day it WAS BACK IN MY ROOOM even though i had the DO NOT ENTER the room sign up. It was very got and the air con was not effective.. my fist week was ok, the second week i came back they were nice i had a bigger room but there were ants in the bathroom =( sheets were poly cotton bin both rooms... both were noisy... the worst part was when i had not realized i had to check out earlier then i thought they treated me like they had never seen me before like i was a bum on the street. Very sad after spending 1400.00 to stay for 2 weeks. i will NEVER book them again =(

Great hotel location walking distance from The Grove

The only hotel in the area which is not overpriced. It is quiet, very clean with very pleasant staff. You can see it's been renovated. Nice bathroom, TV, fridge, AC... Plenty of storage in wardrobes. Lots of parking spots for customers.Great pool

Hotel is located 1.5 blocks away from the Grove. Not a 5 star hotel but very nice & a lot cheaper than surrounding hotels. Bed was comfy, nice size room, easy parking, bathroom small but overall, good place. Staff was very friendly & very welcoming. Would definitely stay again.

The location is great, all walking distance to nice areas, Grove Mall super closer. The room was Ok, clean but the furniture and decoration (even the colors of wall, carpet, tiles) out of time, as it need some take care of that I been there alone, work and some relax time and for sure i don't like that place for been with my girlfriend but yes i could stay again but alone

I thoroughly enjoyed the Park Plaza Lodge hotel it's quite warm affordable the homes or large refrigerator microwave coffee pot are all available it's in walking distance from The Grove and convenience stores I love this place I usually stay an extra day

Compact parking made it very hard to get out of our sedan. No wonder we found long scratch on the driver side next morning by some vehicle parked next to us and left before us. There was no parking stub to display on dashboard, so it could be public parking that anyone could have parked besides hotel guest. Found a bug on the towel. They must be recycling all left over sugar and coffee creamers. Our room had a packet of creamer, sugar and stir stick in a ziplock snack bag. Never seen that anywhere in 50 years. Manager didn't give receipt upon check out and told us that you would get receipt from Orbitz, not us.

A run down hotel. Seems like didn't see any renovation for quite some time. I understand such marketing strategy (low investment > low staying cost). But still there are obvious things that reflect "mindful operation". 1-Bathroom fan comes on when you switch on the light. Extremely loud old fan - probably never replaced since 1970s. Really owner? Are you shying away from $30 investment in every 30 years? 2-A low cost hotel classic : toilet flush keeps leaking water. You have to turn it off so you can have peaceful sleep. Another $10 investment to save for hotel owner!

Exceeded expectations. The room was nice, bed comfortable and room was clean overall. Convenient restaurant next door and short walk to The Grove. Would not hesitate to recommend to someone looking for the basics and plan to use in the future.

The Park Plaza was clean and modestly priced. The staff was very nice and helpful. Our room was bare and could have used some wall decorations, such as a few generic pictures. That's my only negative comment. There was a great restaurant next door. Nearby Wilshire Blvd. offers museums and, of course, the La Brea Tar Pits with-in walking distance.

A terrific value for the location and yes, I'd stay there again. But do not expect a high end hotel. The towels are skimpy, the view I had was of an alley and the neighbor's chain link fence, and there was no channel line up for the TV so I was on my own to navigate through hundreds of channels, many of which weren't even available. BUT the staff is very helpful and friendly. The bathroom was clean and more up to date than the rest of the room. And it was more quiet than I expected, so I enjoyed two very nice nights' sleep. No room service, but conveniently there's a restaurant right next door.. If you manage your expectations, you'll enjoy your stay.

Towels and toilet papers seem wet all the time ! No laundry room! But it's closed to fisher mans market

I recommend it to anoyone who thinks about staying there. Its close to everything, like The Grove and its on 3rd street. Walking distance to 3rd and Fairfax. Service was nice and I got everything that I wanted from the place.

Clean room, essential amenities, staff very kind. Basic but nice.
