It was a nice little place and the guy was so nice even suggested some place to go look at. It was a nice quiet place the only think was the wifi wasn’t strong but other then that I really like it.

Close to everything we wanted to see walking distance

It felt like a little village escape inside Santa Monica. It was quaint, cozy and other worldly. We will definitely be staying here again.

The owner and management were very welcoming. Made sure to speak to us every day asking how everything was and making sure we were happy with our stay.

Nice hotel very cozy and close to the beach will stay there again

It’s a decent place, but it needs manteinance. I stayed at room 228. And pair is pelee get off at ceiling in the bedroom. Otherwise its a nice place.

Nice place for a few nights. Easy check in and easy check out.

A motel with a truly split personality: the exterior and grounds have a certain quaint charm with appreciated decorative quirks such as surfboards and various country flags painted throughout. The front desk attendant could not have been friendlier and personable - far more professional than one usually gets from these extreme budget places. And the other guests roaming about look like young creatives in town for work or normal families on a road trip. When I pulled in I thought I discovered a hidden secret. And then, the room - well, I can now say I know what a welfare hotel feels like, (albeit a clean one.) Blinding overhead lighting, no table lamps, walls thick with globs of paint jobs past and a mattress that must have been prison cot overstock. (No exaggeration- it was that hard and uncomfortable. And I can sleep on anything.) The room actually depressed me and made me anxious to leave, which fortunately I was able to first thing the next morning. It's too bad because with a little money and care spent, the rooms could be at least decent. But as is, I would only recommend this place if you are on an extremely tight budget and don't plan to spend anytime in the room. Even then, I'd urge you to save up a few more dollars and stay somewhere else.

Very quaint. Close to beach. Friendly staff. Little sitting areas outside rooms. Enjoyed it!

My Wife and I spent the weekend sightseeing Santa Monica and Venice, the Palm Hotel was convenient and had lots of character!! Quite funky!! Very pleasant staff!! Thanks!! 😉

It was a very nice place. Great staff. Loved the rooms. Quite place.

Dirty bed linen, coffee placed outside with tiny cups. Over priced , compared to other motel amenities.

Not good. Owner called and told Me they're sold-out 2 hours after I booked with them. Not very professional.

Room was clean. Loud neighbors. Fun decor. Easy to walk everywhere I wanted.

Outdated hotel charging 3 star rates for 1 star facilities. They could easily upgrade beds, showers, etc. for the price they're charging.

It's a cheap motel so don't expect the Ritz. But if you're on a very tight budget and want a place to crash that isn't in the hood and is reasonable this might be the place for you. The room looked a little run down but nothing horrible. Some cracks and wear. My biggest complaint would be the bed wasn't very comfortable and the lack of carpet in the room made it very hard to sit up in bed. Although, it probably helped with cleanliness. Place had a third world feel that didn't bother me. Outside is very festive which Is cool.

If your on a budget but want to be close enough to all that Santa Monica offers this is a great choice!!!

Good value for an expensive area. Quick drive to the ocean where parking is $12 for the day. Likely can take the Pico Boulevard bus to get there also with little walking, but didn't try. Hotel is basic but clean inside. Holiday weekend people were a little nosey and somebody left their dog stool on the walkway by the parking. No complaints about hotel itself. Make sure to ask for extra towels since our room for six only had two sets of towels.

This motel has a bed, a refrigerator, a shower, wifi and a TV. All we needed. The location is perfect and for that the price is awesome. The first night our TV wasn't working, the front desk personnel came right up and fixed it for us! He was very pleasant and friendly. The linens were clean and the cleaning staff was friendly. While it doesn't have all the bells and whistles we only needed a place to sleep and shower. We would definitely stay there again!
