It was a lovely place, nice outdoor areas and it is in a very walkable area, for restaurants and to the beach - Ocean Ave. Their daily fresh homemade cookies and ice cold water station was a bonus. This hotel is a gorgeous gem within walking distance of the Santa Monica pier. I felt a peaceful presence from the moment I walked in and was quickly greeted by the hotel front desk gentleman. He took my luggage and walked it up the stairs before checking me into my room. He also generously upgraded my room because it was my first visit to the property. First class service all around. I cannot wait to return.

Highly recommend Valet parking right in front of hotel. Charming old historical railway station converted to hotel in pleasant garden setting a few blocks from the beach. I was about to book another stay at this place right after checking out literally when I got an Amex text that a charge was done to my account... It was taxes, which were paid with Expedia. What turned out to be an amazing stay quickly turned into the worst as I have to make time to deal with this inappropriate charge and poor management and hospitality. A complete slap in the face to the troops on the ground which were all amazing and went above and beyond.
