Nice

Cute and quirky spot. A bit frustrating that the restaurant didn't have food available all day and no room service. However, walkable options nearby. I was on the 4th floor and wasn't aware that the rooftop bar would have loud music with thumping bass until very late (past 11pm) on a Sunday night when I had work to take care of the next day.

The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly. Parking wasn’t horrible. The only complaint I have was the wait time before dinner and during dinner. The host did not prioritize us for a table. Once we got seated, the wait for food was way too long.

It got a little crowded in the evenings from the bar and restaurant business. Waiting for the slow elevator.

If you’re concerned about getting sleep or about cleanliness, don’t stay here. I’m only allowed 1500 characters on Orbitz, so search for my review on Yelp. Search for keywords: hair, shower, carpet, smell, parking, elevator, loud, neighbor, paper thin, car alarms. Or save yourself the trouble and don’t stay here.

Super friendly staff.

Great location for dining and nightlife. Rooftop is fun!

Could have used coffee/tea in the room. And a communal water station at hotel reception would have been a nice touch. As a woman trying to do my hair and makeup in the room I would have loved have been able to request a full length mirror. Otherwise I had to stand over the toilet to get close to a mirror - very inconvenient. Was disappointed that it is advertised on the website that self parking is $22 taxes. We were charged $27 $8.76 in tax. And the self parking is a 6 minute walk from the hotel. Again, very inconvenient. Other then those things, the staff were very friendly and we had a positive experience.

The front desk staff and parking valet were all very friendly. The room was stylish, and very clean and comfortable. The rooftop bar was wonderful. Hotel was close to the venue where we were going to a concert. Our room was on the 2nd floor and the only negative was a bit of noise downstairs around 3:00am.

Very cute boutique hotel, staff was very nice rooms are clean and decorated very cute

LOVED LOVED LOVED IT. EXACTLY HOW I IMAGINED. VERY FRIENDLY AND FUN STAFF. WILL BE RETURNING!

Great property. I was surprised by the overall ambiance on a Friday night, but this was my error as I was not aware that it was also a nightclub on the weekends. Had I been prepaired for that I may have had a better experience, made other arrangements for my pet to account for this, or chosen a different hotel in the first place. A note about this on Orbitz mat help prevent such an experience in the future.

We didn't do a lot of research when booking Mama Shelter, but it looked like a clean and modern hotel that would be near the Hollywood sights. Happy to say it delivered on those. It turns out that Mama Shelter is a French chain, so you get French toiletries and complimentary French porn too. There were some other types too, but we only browsed through the titles. They had some live TV channels and you could sign into your own Netflix on the iMac device they had in the room. The room was fairly spacious but not much in the way of storage. This didn't bother us much as we were only spending two nights here so it was easy to just live out of the suitcases. There is a long desk in the room that elevated our suitcases to a reasonable height. Small beverage type fridge was in the room was a plus. There didn't seem to be an ice machine :(. There was only one stump chair, but you could sit on the comfy bed too. There was a table on both sides of the bed, not a lot of free outlets so I recommend bringing a power strip if you have a lot of devices that need to be plugged in/charged. We knew that there was a rooftop bar, but didn't quite expect there be a bar on the bottom too with restaurant. The front desk is between the bar and restaurant on the first floor, we had arrived early and luckily our room was already ready. The bar/restaurant seems to be a happening spot so it gets a bit crowded in the evenings and I can imagine it be a little tough to get checked in then.

There is nothing plain about this hotel- from the lobby, to the rooms, to the rooftop restaurant. The staff is very friendly and the mood is definitely lively. I'd stay here again... it has a good vibe.

Really love this hotel. Two ladies in their 60s and we enjoyed our stay. Back rooms are definitely quieter, but very comfortable no matter which room you choose. Very modern and art touches everywhere. The rooftop bar was so much fun but does get very crowded in the evening. I was told to go up around 8:30 PM which we did and found a table right away. Restaurant and main lobby very good. Love their breakfast every morning. Try the Nutella pancakes, fun treat. I will stay there again felt very safe and comfortable. Not a hotel for children however

The hotel is close to Hollywood and lots of bars around. While the lobby is quite noisy, the hotel floor is quiet.
