Great location. We love visiting the castle. Close to Hollywood attractions and hotels. Friendly staff. Nice heated pool. Free snacks are great!

Our family, (2 adults and 2 kids ages 9 and 12)just returned from 5 days at the Magic Castle hotel. The hotel is next door to the Magic Castle which is the "clubhouse" for professional magicians. If you stay at the hotel, you have access to tickets to see a magic show. The location of the hotel is perfect for walking to the Hollywood walk of fame the Chinese theater, tons of restaurants, movie theaters and more. The staff is super friendly and helpful, printing out directions and giving restaurant suggestions. They also give out candy and snacks, and have a soft serve ice cream and soda machines. The pool is small but heated. Suggestions are: better soundproofing in bedrooms, I could hear the man snoring in the room next to us, healthier snacks/food vendor/taco cart on site so the go to for kids isn't always sugar and better wifi coverage. Despite all that, it's a perfect family hotel. We would go back!

Looking forward to coming back at Christmas with my husband. Great place to stay while, visiting our son in West Hollywood.

This hotel is a hidden gem. The staff was incredible, wonderful and knowledgeable. They welcomed us with a complimentary with sparking lemonade. There were so many nice touches. The complimentary shuttle service was great. I loved the ambiance of the place and it was walking distance to many of the Hollywood sites. I was able to walk to Runyon Canyon and hike. The full kitchen was an awesome bonus. We would definitely return. I cannot say enough about the staff, such a warm and welcoming group.

Very comfortable little hotel just a block off Hollywood Boulevard. Clean, good bed and very roomy with a full kitchen. Felt more like an apartment than a hotel room, and the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Nice little pool which is open 24 hours. We'll be back!

The staff spared nothing in making us at home from the moment we arrived until the day we left. They helped us with getting TV taping tickets, did our laundry (for free), gave free munchies at the front desk 24 hrs, and were unstintingly friendly. The Magic Castle was everything we expected for our 5 day stay and more. Extremely highly recommended.

Extremely family friendly and very welcoming staff.

staff very helpful with every request...would have preferred central ac instead of window units

The hotel was very close to Hollywood Walk Of Fame and the metro. It was fairly easy to visit Universal Studios as well. The staff was beyond welcoming: helpful, friendly and genuine. It was a nice surprise that the hotel offered customary snacks and soft drinks. They also arranged a free shuttle to a near by Asian restaurant which I highly recommend! Very enjoyable visit all together!

While a bit aged, this hotel surprised us positively in every aspect. From the arrival "Champagne" lemonade, to the free snacks, sodas and DVD's, to the exceptional pastries on the breakfast table, we could not have wanted. better. Little did we know when we booked it, how convenient the location was as well. We could walk to many sought out locations , shops and stores. Next visit we will definitely reserve a night at the Magic Castle restaurant and take in the show. We found out you don't need formal attire, just a coat and tie which you can get from the front desk. I understand the magic show there is one of the best anywhere. it is usually "member's only". Give this hotel a try!

Staff aims to please. It's a great place to stay. Only drawback is that parking garage is tight for a minivan.

We totally loved this hotel! It was in an incredible location and oozing with character. The staff was incredible and the amenities were wonderful - complimentary use of umbrellas when it was raining, complimentary snacks 24/7. We will definitely stay here again!

Lovely, quaint hotel just a couple blocks from the Chinese Theatre and other Hollywood attractions. The staff is amazing - extremely helpful and friendly. Hotel has a cool throwback feel and even though it is an older hotel, that adds to the charm. Spacious room, comfy bed. Take advantage of the hotel making a reservation next door at the magic castle club - a very unique experience.

Great place to stay while visiting Hollywood. We were able to sightsee during the day and relax at night in the wonderful heated pool. The location was close to Hollywood Blvd., Chinese Theatre, and very interesting Hollywood Museum/Mel's Diner. The hotel had fabulous customer service with free snacks, and the staff was very helpful and accommodating.

Just a few blocks down the street from the Kodak Theater. Wish we could have stayed longer. The staff was courteous, friendly. and helpful! Even provided free snacks at any time. Continental Breakfast was great!

Everything about this hotel was nice except for the initial outside appearance. If a friend of mine had not told me about it I'm not sure we would have stopped here. However, once inside the rooms are clean, nice and comfy! We had a bedroom, living room with pull out couch, eating area and nice size kitchen with all the amenities you would need for a short stay. The hotel provides free snacks and non-alcoholic beverages, free DVD's and free breakfast. The pool is small but it was heated to 85. We were one block from the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Kodak Theater and all that stuff. I would stay here again no problem. Their customer service is top notch.

Great location to central Hollywood. Size of rooms made family travel worth the trip. Staff is more than helpful and the extra amenities of breakfast and snacks saved a ton of money. While the rooms may lack the most modern accruements, they are more than worth the money. We traveled with 10 month old twins and the staff met all our needs.

We visited Manns Chinese Theater and Hollywood walk of fame which was within walking distance. The main reason for staying here was to go to the Magic Castle. Great place to stay if you want to explore Hollywood and Magic Castle. Extremely friendly staff. Old Hotel but clean and welcoming. Loved the free breakfast, sodas and munchies, sparkling cider when we walked in the door and other little extras.

We went to Magic Castle after reading the reviews. The reviews were mostly right. The hotel is in a great location one block from Hollywood Blvd. The staff at The Magic Castle are what makes the hotel truly magical. They went out of their way in every attempt to please us. One problem we had was we asked for a feather free room and upon arrival, we had a down comforter and 3 feather pillows. The staff did all they could to correct this. The hotel itself is cute California boutique as advertised and above average but the room we had (114) was just ok at best. It was stuck in a corner with a view of a side street, small, but adequate for a couple. Be mindful, there are no elevators.

The hotel outside is underwhelming but when you walk in it's quite nice. The offered us lovely lemonade while we checked and were really accommodating and kind during check-in. They even found a vegan restaurant that delivered late night, printed the menu and ordered for us. After a long drive from the airport this was great. The rooms needed renovating but were spacious however, the walls were thin. The breakfast was delightful and upon check-out they once again were lovely and offered us snacks for the road.
