The staff was friendly; but the rooms and facilities were not the best. The carpet in the rooms has a filmed feeling on the bottoms of my feet, and the shower head was so calcified and crusted that only half the shower head holes worked which made for a very mediocre spray. It was good enough to sleep in for a few hours which was all we needed, but if your staying on a trip I would spend a few extra bucks for something better

Easy to make reservations online. Good location for us.

I had to book this hotel last minute. First room I went to smelled like smoke and other odors and had stains all over the furniture and bedding. The front desk staff politely moved me to another room that was supposed to be non smoking. When I walked in, it was also filthy and there was a pile of ashes between the bed and night stand. I felt unsafe and did not want to sleep there. I've stayed all over the world in everything from hostels to 5 star hotels and have never walked out of a hotel. I promise I don't have unreasonable expectations. This hotel was disgusting. The guy at the front desk was polite and refunded me with no questions asked.

The bed was comfy. The bath made me clean. The staff was nice. I enjoyed my stay here, except for the one night I was awakened by a drunk guest getting to his room at midnight. But that's not La Quintas fault. Boys will be boys.

When we first checked in, the room we were originally given smelled horribly of cigarette smoke. Upon complaining to the front desk clerk, who I want to say was quite service oriented and accommodating, we were given another room that also smelled but not as badly; however, when we got into bed we discovered that the bed linens even reeked of stale cigarettes. The carpet was stained and dirty. Additionally, there was dog excrement on the sidewalk that was dried and appeared to have been there for longer than it should have been. Much too high for what we received. The price of the room was unwarranted. We would recommend this hotel to no one.

Hotel is quiet and clean easy to get to and close to all business and shopping, beds need improvement........................

Room was run-down- cracks in bathroom door, rusty towel rack, stains on bathroom wall, bedroom carpeting. There was a big hole burned clear throug the comforter on one of the beds. My biggest issue was the pool / hot tub which were really grungy / dirty. esp the Hot tub with a big ring of gross black slim around the waterline.

The room airconditioning are very noisy and smell like cigarette smoking. We don't smoke the room smell like someone have been smoking all day in there.

Arrived at 11pm, There were people skate boarding, three young men in parking lot talking loudly, drunk

We stayed for 1 night and knew what we were getting, we read the reviews and didn't expect much, going in with this in mind we were okay with the room it was better then expected.

The free wifi get's it an extra star. The room was clean overall except the bathroom could have been better. Decent price

Maybe they need to up the continental breakfast just a little, very basic. Smoking areas should be better marked, a couple of people were smoking right outside my room and it was coming into the room.

Location is good, staff was fine, beds really comfortable. But the couch in the living room (we stayed in suite) was an old fold out bed couch that when you sat down on it the cushions had no support and you sank down in it.....not too comfortable for even sitting!!

The hotel is conveniently located a short distance from the freeway. We got in late (11pm) to find two buses out front full of football players. coaches and some parents. There was only one front desk clerk, which is very poor on the hotel's part since they knew the team was coming. They had done no advance prep, even though the team had submitted roster/room list in advance. The clerk was assigning rooms/ coding keys. The group let us cut in after a short wait. Once we finally checked in, we got to our room to find we had been given a smoking room when we had reserved a non-smoking room - so, back to the front desk mess. After another wait, the clerk first told me they only had smoking rooms left, but after searching managed to come up with a non-smoking room. The room was clean and served it purpose. However, I was not impressed with the service.

the room I had was very nice, comfortable, clean and cozy, I would stay here again

Rooms were clean. Nice and renovated. We booked a king and was checked into a queen, this was the only problem but Eileen at front desk was very helpful and switched us. Breakfast was good. We did not experience any of the negative things that were mentioned in other reviews

Stayed here while visiting grandparents in Westlake and Camarillo. Hotel was located right in between and just off the freeway. The rates were great and we loved the huge bed and tons of pillows. They were in the process of remodeling, so I can imagine it being even nicer in the future. Will definately stay here again!

I was very disappointed with our stay at the Thousand Oaks La Quinta. As advertised, the bed was great but the room was so small, two average sized people could not walk passed the bed to the dresser or bathroom at the same time. We were given one very small bar of soap which was not replaced for our second night. I was left showering with soap pieces. No shampoo was provided until we requested it. There were not enough hangers and when more were requested, only a couple more were supplied. Asked the desk for a safety pin but none were available. In the breakfast room, the coffee pot broke leaving a puddle on the floor. When reported gentleman was surly. He turned the pot off but the puddle was not cleaned up until a more pleasant and helpful morning clerk came on duty 10 minutes later. After about a half hour, coffee was provided in carafes. Sorry La Quinta but we will not be staying at any of your hotels in the future.

Functional, convenient location, clean. More than adequate for our needs. Staff very helpful. Has waffles available for breakfast!

You will see half naked men walking out to the ice machines in their boxers at 5pm, but if gotten at a deal could be tolerable.
