We arrived there on a Saturday and checked in; we had driven over 6 hours to get there. Not more than five minutes in the room, we had received an emergency phone call and had to leave back home. We advised the front desk immediately. The manager, Armando, told us that since we booked through a third party we would have to pay for the first night as Orbitz wanted to be paid their commission, but if we would have booked through them, he would have been able to refund the first night due to the circumstances. This was all after he had told the front desk clerk, in Spanish to go check the room to make sure we didn’t do anything bad in there; not sure if he realized we understood what he was saying, so we told him we weren’t in there long enough to get our luggage down or anything. Nevertheless, Armando kept using the excuse that orbitz wanted their commission for the stay and when orbitz was called to cancel they said that was incorrect, Armando changed his story and then used the company policy. We will never be staying there again! On top of their bad customer service/experience, the facility looks better in person and the cleanliness of the grounds is not worth what they charge!
