Unfortunately the property is doing major renovations and were extremely loud right above our room. We were not advised about possible noise when booking, even though we booked just a week before our stay. Free continental breakfast was a joke. I wouldn't advise depending on it. We walked out and bought our own meal at a local cafe.

For the price being in Santa Monica, this hotel was certainly very adequate. Parking was convenient and the staff was friendly and professional and my room was ready at 1pm, well before check-in. The gym was good, better than some with a few cardio machines and some weights. The room was mixed. The bedroom was quite nice and had a nice view but the bathroom itself could use a bit of an update with a bathtub/shower combo w shower curtain and plumbing fixtures that were asking to be updated. Had mixed feelings about the sink being outside of bathroom. The promised bottle of wine (tiny bottle of cava) was something.

My room was clean but the AC unit could get quite loud when it was turned on and it was noticeable especially at night with occasional banging sounds, the wifi was also a bit spotty as I had a hard time staying connected while on online meetings.
