Newly constructed open concept design is a house within a house. Designed by world class architect, Barton Phelps, the imaginative design highlights his approach to creating comfortable, useful, memorable places. Floor-to-ceiling windows and French doors merge the indoors with the verdant natural surroundings. Light, beauty and function is achieved through meticulous design, lighting and luxury furnishings found in high end residences, featuring DuChateau European oak floors and VG Doug Fir Marvin windows and doors.
You will have the entire 2nd story of my 3,200 sq. ft. house. Sleeps up to four people with two separate bedrooms and state-of-art Jack and Jill Bathroom. Frette luxury bed linens and towels, toiletries including T3 hair dryer, Kiehls, Cetaphil and Honest body wash, shampoo and moisturizer.
The master bedroom has a king size bed, a small couch and deck facing East where guests can enjoy breakfast and the morning sun. The second bedroom has an American Leather Queen Plus Comfort Sleeper for flexible living, dining and work space. Bar area has wine, champagne, whiskey and martini glasses and shaker. Dining area has West Elm marble table and chairs that comfortably seats four.
The fully equipped kitchen has a prep area, gas range, Bosch dishwasher, microwave, toaster, refrigerator/freezer with filtered ice machine and water, and all the essentials to prepare meals, including, silverware, dishes, serving platters, All Clad pots and pans, glasses, mugs, bowls, electric can opener, blender, baking mixer, and other kitchen supplies. Customize your coffee experience with a Breville Precision Coffee Maker with six settings including 12 cups, single cup, pour over, over ice and cold brew as well as Verismo Espresso machine and a French press with coffee provided.
Fully stocked pantry and fridge has flat and sparkling bottled water, eggs, butter, orange juice, half and half, yogurt and fruit. Condiments include oil and vinegar, spices, jam, honey, oatmeal, soup and high quality snacks.
Wash large loads of laundry in LG Front Loading washer/dryer.

We never saw the inside of the property since we booked it for our daughter, her husband, and our two young grandchildren. They report that it was spotless, well stocked, and perfect for them. Also, the host was friendly and gracious. We will definitely book again, if available.

Lovely Place to Stay & Great Location
Everything was just as it is shown in the photos. Check in was easy and the host is super helpful and accommodating. This place is comfortably clean and we really enjoyed the outdoor spaces. The kitchen is equipped for all that you’ll need for cooking and enjoying your morning coffee. The bathroom also has everything from shampoo, lotion, toothpaste, and anything else you may have forgotten at home. Hi-tech keyless gate entry so we felt safe and secure. Just stay here! You won’t regret it!

Clean and comfortable, lovely property and great host
It was really a pleasure to stay at Deb’s property. We had four people—two adults and two kids (ages 9 and 11). The unit is the upstairs of Deb’s home, with a separate private entrance in the back. The yard is gated, and the neighborhood feels very safe. Deb is very welcoming, and the kitchen and bathroom were well-stocked with necessities (coffee, tea, snacks, fruit, shampoo and other toiletries). She even put out some beach chairs and boogie boards for our kids to use at the beach.
One thing I did not realize from the listing is that the second bedroom doubles as the living room. So if you need two bedrooms you will not have a separate living room, and the kitchen is in the small (narrow) side. The description actually does say this, it just wasn’t super-obvious and I guess I missed it when booking. The sofa bed is very comfortable though, and the room has doors that close off from the rest of the space. And there are two wonderful decks to use as living spaces so we didn’t feel a lack of space.
The unit also was very comfortable and clean, including the outdoor areas. The locations is good if you want to be near the beach, and a short drive to the airport.
Finally, Deb was very communicative, but before and during our stay.
I would certainly recommend!

Charming home, good location, wonderful owner
To start, love the home, the owner Deb, and the neighbourhood.
Myself and two boys travelled to LA just before Christmas and stayed here for 7 days. We wanted to stay in a neighbourhood that was close to the coastline and north beaches (Venice, Santa Monica, Malibu) but not too far away from the city (Crypto.com) and northern LA county (Universal Studios). This was the perfect spot for us.
First, Deb is amazing. She's like a personal concierge. She had a snack tree for us with chips and cookies, stocked the fridge with some basics to get us going (milk, eggs, cream, water, drinks, yogurt, coffee) and provided us with a list of her favourite restaurants. The bathroom was the same, from shampoo, conditioner, body washes, toothpaste, and most importantly wonderfully smelling super soft towels (ask Deb for her secret). She was intent on making sure we had everything we needed. The kitchen while small works really well and is outfitted with excellent appliances and everything we needed (gas range, small dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker, nexpresso type of machine) .
The suite is the upstairs of the home with separate access up a spiral staircase overlooking a cute backyard. It is spotless, bright, charming, and well suited to a couple or family of four with young kids and it also worked well for the 3 of us (boys are 17 and 20). Trees line the kitchen window but are cutoff at the perfect height to give you privacy but allow sunlight and blue sky in. There are two outdoor patio areas that are nice to sit on at different times of the day. The shower is awesome.
What impressed me about the neighbourhood was how all the homes and yards are so well kept and this applies to other adjoining neighbourhoods. There is definitely pride in ownership. It's also strikingly quiet on weekends and weekdays. It feels really safe and families walked the streets after dark.
For local restaurants we went to Akasha in Culver City for Californian cuisine (get reservations) and Paco's Tacos for authentic Mexican, which is just around the corner, was excellent. Lemonade on Abbott and Kinney is excellent for lunch. Yardhouse was decent but not great value, there are definitely better options. Other evenings we ate outside the neighbourhood.
Locations we enjoyed that may not be on your radar: Zuma Beach and the drive up coast, 3rd street Promenade for shopping in Santa Monica, Abbot and Kinney boulevard for shopping and eating, and the Getty Villa.

Absolutely amazing place and owner!
Deb is amazing and very helpful! She was very welcoming and informative and was there if we needed anything at all. The place is immaculate and was perfect for our family vacation to LA. Very clean and new and had everything we could have needed for our trip…and then some! Beautiful views from the decks, close to the beach, many nearby restaurants, hiking trails, Universal Studios, the airport. Overall awesome place and experience and I can’t wait to go back!
