First, I'm a Diamond Member of BW. Second, let's start on what's good. Parking is complimentary and the place is clean. Now the not-so-good. The alarm clock was 7-8 hours off without the ability to change it. No plugs in lamps by bed. Had to move out nightstand and get in behind for outlet. Got up to make coffee. Coffeepot plug runs through countertop and down behind fridge -- was unplugged! Had to move fridge to plug it in -- not a 5am friendly chore. If outlets are important to you, avoid this place.
We visited California and stayed at the BW Média center in Burbank for 4 nights. We chose a hotel that was close to the Warner Brothers studio since we had tickets to the Ellen show. The location was perfect for our needs. The hotel was clean, comfortable and a very safe location. We Ubered to Hollywood as needed (very short 15 min drive). Breakfast was typical - bacon, eggs, cereal etc. I will definitely stay at the Best Western when/ if I get tickets to the Ellen show in the future.
The staff is amazing!!! There was a slight hiccup with a coffee request but nothing that would stop me from staying at this property. It was a P&P issue and had nothing to do with the staff, my stay, or the appearance or function of this property.
We had lots of fun when we stayed at this hotel because Warner Brothes is just walking distance to the hotel. Rooms are spacious, clean, near some restaurants especially couple of minutes drive to Portosand definitely recommend this hotel.
My mom, sister, and I stayed here for one night while spending the weekend in LA for mom's birthday. The check in and check out processes were very quick and easy. Breakfast was standard - nothing spectacular. The hotel is very centrally located to both Universal Studios and the Warner Brothers studios, making it super ideal for our purposes. We stayed in a one bedroom suite. The room itself was huge. The bedroom had a king sized bed, couch, and huge bathroom; the "living" area had a small bar counter with microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker, and pull out couch. Overall, a great stay and good quality. We would definitely stay again.
This is our second time we have stayed here and both times we were very happy with the service and our room. It is located within minutes of Universal Studios but is far enough away to be in a quiet, peaceful area. Breakfast was nice too!
Check in was quick and easy. They provide underground parking and that's always appreciated. Our room was nice with a king bed with two night stands, closet, large screen TV, desk and chair for computer, comfortable couch with upholstered chair, coffee table, end table, chest of drawers, microwave, single-cup coffeemaker and refrigerator. Two luggage racks were also provided. The bathroom was adequate with a single sink, counter space and tub/shower combo. Location was excellent in the media center vicinity on Riverside Drive. They do provide a Continental breakfast and we were pleasantly surprised to find that it included scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, cereal, toast and a variety of muffins, coffee and juice, etc. It's a three-story hotel and thankfully they have elevators to all floors and the garage. A limited number of baggage carts are available. Staff were friendly and courteous.
Fleeing a terrible AirBNB at the last minute, I found this hotel to actually be a very pleasant surprise. It is a very decent, mid-range hotel. The manager said they pride themselves on the rooms being "spotlessly clean," and it actually was spotlessly clean. I often find hotel rooms even in nice hotels are less than totally clean (e.g counters), but this Best Western room really was clean. The room was large, and the parking convenient and free.
First time staying here but the location was perfect. Very close to both Universal Studios and Warner Brothers. Was happily surprised by the luxurious bed and well-appointed room. It was clean and very big. It came with a nice sitting area (full sofa), good sized refrigerator, and coffee maker. The bathroom was a good size too. We arrived late and were very hungry. Across the street was a Mexican restaurant, Don Cuco was very busy and we found out why. It is a local favorite because the food is outstanding, service is top-notch, and the drinks were great! I would recommend making reservations. When we returned to our room following dinner, all we wanted to do was crawl into bed and watch the nice big TV. Unfortunately, the HDMI cord was broken. We called downstairs but the person working was alone with no ability to help us. We offered to hook it up ourselves if he pulled one from another room. He alleged that there were no empty rooms but the parking lot was more than half empty. We weren't pleased that no one was willing to work with us. In the morning, we had to be at Universal very early in the morning for a special event. Again we had an issue with an item in the room, the blow dryer. Either the blow dryer turns off because it's in poor condition or the circuit breaker pops. Again we weren't offered any timely assistance. I had to go out with wet hair. This was an issue because this was a special event we'd plan for our 20th anniversary. Upon checking out, a different person was at the front desk and I explained the situation. He had no sense of customer service or a welcoming demeanor. I would have appreciated a simple 'I'm sorry for the inconvenience' but i only got excuses and hostility. Finally and begrudgingly, he gave us a small discount on the room rate. Ironically, he was the owner. It is a shame because we will be going to that area more often. The room is really nice especially when things work. The location is great. If the customer service was better, I'd have no trouble recommending this hotel.
I stayed in the hotel for couple of days and I liked it a lot. The rooms are real big nice and comfortable. The house staff is real helpful. The offer a good complimentary breakfast too. There are good number of eating joints outside the hotel and nearby. The media studios are not far from hotel.
