Nice comfortable rooms and not bad of an area to stay at.

Rooms are small but clean and attractive. Bathroom is very modern. I really like that the windows are frosted so you can leave your curtains open and get light in. Bed was a bit hard for me. Very convenient location.

Nice check in. Charming room, firm mattress huge, crispy clean sheets, huge bathroom. Parking was a little tuff as the restaurant was packed and there was no more vacancy’s at the motel. Had a mini fridge and ice for a quarter. Lots of local places to shop and a gas station nearby.

Parking was horrible if your vehicle was large, the parking was difficult to get into. The televisions were hard to work or wouldn't turn on at all. We had to keep asking about it once. We went without it one day and the next day we’re moved into another room.

Great value for a quick stay before my cruise. Room was recently renovated and very clean.

Nice clean place to stay and near a lot of shops and a great restaurant. Stayed here as had early morning meeting and was very happy with the comfort and size of the room as well as having a fridge in the room as well. Everyone was really nice that helped me there, so would absolutely stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay here very much. Person at desk the night I checked in and next morning as well as housekeeping staff the next morning on checkout were very friendly and professional. Housekeeper was friendly and courteous even though we were not ready to leave when she showed up. I read previous reviews and felt it may have pertained to the old Tasmanian Sea motel previous there so I stayed there being new business. Was not disappointed with room. Only 3 star for amenities as I noticed the ice machine costed money as well as AC/Heater too close to the bed and unable to tilt up enough for full room circulation. WiFi was not working the next day so went to the second link and it started up again even though it was 1 line weaker signal. Even though the WiFi was a little weaker it did not mess us up trying to use it. Kudos to Americas Best Value Inn Rancho Palos Verdes for having two WiFis. Many higher name/higher priced places could not offer this. Upon traveling to San Pedro (my hometown) from San Diego we were looking at places to stay. I noticed ABVI was the old Tasmanian Sea from growing up so wanted to see how it was. Needless to say when I travel back up to San Pedro again in the future I will stay here again. Maybe next time it will be more than just one day. Still need to visit the battleship. )

So this is my second stay within last few months. I do travel to this area on business and won't think twice before booking at this location again. Rooms are clean and recently renovated. Staff are friendly and quick to assist when required. Location is great with tons of restaurants and shops nearby. Close enough to get to the beach and the freeway is only 10-min drive. Don't forget to ask them about the new Jacuzzi rooms!

This is a place where people stay when they drank too much at the restaurant next door or at a bar down the street. It is very run down.

This hotel was clean and the room was comfortable, if a little noisy at times (busy road and hotel parking just outside the door). We liked how close it was to Point Vicente and the trails and whale watching there. We also took advantage of the park across the street and went for a 3 mile run there. The decor is not fresh, but I think the staff does a good job with what they have. Go there to be a short drive from Point Vicente, and you'll find it adequate and you'll save $$ compared to other choices in that general area.

nice location! very friendly staff; relatively clean (they go through some renovation)

I had ants in my room. They moved me to another room and the ants were worse. The staff excused it by saying "it's summertime." Good: a fridge in the room, nice space, furnishings. (but dresser in the second room was broken). There was enough parking. The room was like an oven; it took hours to cool off with the a/c unit. The ice machine cost money. The microwave was in the office, as well as coffee in the morning. I've stayed at the same chain in Oxnard, and it was much nicer.

A reasonably comfortable accommodation. One drawback is the motel's very tight parking space. You need a good amount of confidence and courage to park your car into the lot which is very tight and limited. I do not recommend you go there with any vehicle larger than compact size.
