Apparently this hotel became a Radisson recently. Terrible conditions in the rooms, lack of any maintenance at all. Carpets with holes, not hot water in the shower. Furniture in the rooms looks like it came from a frat house. The food was fairly decent during the event I attended on site, but they ran out of silverware and there was no server or host to ask for additional. I was stunned to see peeling wallpaper in the hallways to the meeting rooms and ballrooms since that’s really the public face of the hotel. The lobby was very dimly lit and, while pretty, it was incredibly dark and uninviting. The front desk crew seemed nice enough but didn’t really have a grasp of what customer service is. The service folks in the kitchen next to the grand ballroom (where we were) spent the better part of an hour yelling and laughing back and forth to each other. They should have been checking the water pitchers in our meeting as they went empty shortly before lunch and stayed that way. Overall, by far, this is the worst place I have ever stayed in North America. I would have said the world, but there was a roach infested hostel that I stayed at in Amsterdam years ago. Book the Hampton Inn down the road instead of staying here, even if your event is at this hotel.
Spent a night here recently for a wedding..... it was ok..... clean but very dated and shabby......linen and towels need replacement. restaurant was decent...breakfast decent as well. Not up to what I’d expect from a Radisson.......
Do NOT stay at this disgusting hotel. Went there this past Saturday night at 3am following a long Halloween Party, to avoid having to drive home after a night of drinking. Despite having rooms available, the Manager on duty told me they could NOT check me in FOR ANOTHER HOUR, because they were doing an audit. At 3am, they wanted me to sit around for an hour and refused to provide me an available room. Great job Radison doing your part to help responsible drinkers staying off the road. Meanwhile, I went a mile away to a Holiday Inn, they not only checked me right in, they booked for the next night and gave me immediate early check in. Radison, YOU ARE A DISGRACE!!!
I have stayed in other Radissons on business, and have been generally quite pleased. This property, though, left something to be desired. Carpeting in the hallways and in the room had numerous nasty stains, and smelled! In the bathroom some of the fixtures were rusted/stained, and the bottom of the bathroom door was chipped off. Also, unlike other Radissons that I have stayed at, there was no mini-fridge in the room. I will say that the lobby area is very nice, and check in was quick and friendly. The bed was reasonably comfortable. I run an event at the college nearby, and exhibitors who also stayed here did not speak highly of their experience. Thus, while this hotel's location is by far the most convenient to our event, I will not be recommending it to our exhibitors. At a much lower price point, I might be able to overlook some of the flaws, but at over $200 a night I would expect MUCH better.
The public spaces are really great: the lobby, the pool, the restaurant. The staff was lovely and very helpful. Parking was plentiful. I saw some other reviews that nearly scared me into booking a different hotel for $60 more per night. So glad I didn't. Yes, the carpets were a little shabby and the bathroom could use an update. But these were not deal breakers for me, and certainly not worth passing over this hotel. It was clean, quiet, and I'm glad I stayed here.
The first room had food left out in front of it and the keys didn't work. Second room assigned had multiple stains on the bathroom and bedroom walls. Carpet had food embedded in it. Sink was cracked. Hall carpet stained and torn. Dirty drink glasses left around the hotel. I couldn't stay in this filth. Went down the road to an awesome Hyatt which was clean and had excellent service. There lobby bar was a bit loud, but I would still give it 4 stars for accommodating me at the last minute. Run away from the Radisson, spend a couple extra dollars at the Hyatt. It is worth it.
This place is filthy. Hair all over the bathroom. Bugs in the room and lobby. Nasty carpets witg bunches and pulls that tripped the younger kids as we walked. Most staff was nice but a few were confused in basics. House keeping did not speak ANY English.
This hotel desperately needs to be renovated. From the look of the lobby, I thought the rooms would be up to date and modern; I was sadly mistaken. Cracks in the walls, hole in the ceiling from the light fixture in the bath. Concrete ceiling in the room, bathroom was small and the sink dirty, torn carpet...just horrible. Plus the price they were charging for the rooms was ridiculous, the hotel realistically should only be charging $80 max for the rooms. It's not worth the $200 or more a night, it's just not at that level for what they offer. This hotel has the potential to be an amazing; however, renovations are needed and perhaps better management.
I stayed here this past weekend and I completely regret it. I was charged a $250 dollar fee for smoking and I DONT EVEN SMOKE!! They stated because my room smelled like it they charged me WITHOUT even informing me. Like I said I don't even smoke and there was no smoking in the room it was just me and my fiancé and I was charged $250 for something we didn't even do. How it this acceptable?
I would not know where to begin with this review as this was a chosen hotel for a large group of us. We so regrettably and unfortunately had several (More than 10) rooms booked at this property. Once checked in and wanting to leave to breathe We inquired at front desk about shuttle to local dinner house. HOWEVER,the front desk agent informed us that the shuttle could possibly take us to dinner. We just could not be picked up as the driver was finishing his shift & leaving for day! (6;30PM on 9/5/17) Hence we would need to make other arrangements to be brought back to property.
