Because I booked through Expedia and not directly through the hotel, when a weather cancellation came up due to the snowstorm, Expedia would not refund this stay, citing that the hotel would not allow it. When I had called the hotel, they said if I had booked directly, they would have. So now I will never ever book at this hotel again. And I will never book a hotel through Expedia directly either. I will go straight to the hotel next time.
