The property itself was very nice. The staff was not particularly friendly. The rooms are in need of updating. Worn, stained carpet, chipped paint on the walls, black scuff marks on the tub. The tub was so deep, it was a hazard to step out of. (Im also short) The bed was too hard for me. Electrical outlets have not been updated. The room was cold when we arrived and the thermostat did not work. We were offered an electric heater.

Great location. The front is right in the action of the Tower of London and the back is on St Katharine’s Dock which is a peaceful haven. The room had a view of the dock which was as pleasing as a view to the bridge which I have had in a previous trip.

This property used to be the number one place to stay in the area. Unfortunately the rooms (ours was 363) are very tired and scruffy. Our furniture was chipped and worn. The mirror in the bathroom was chipped and peeling off. The TV didn't work and our daughters fold down bed was broken. It's a shame because the rest of the hotel is lovely.

This hotel is lovely - the view is amazing, it's very centrally located, the two restaurants inside are both good with good availability, and the staff is amazing. We needed our room a little early due to illness, and the hotel accommodated us. We also needed to access our left luggage, and we got that done too, immediately. Also, being able to order tea from the hotel bar was an unexpected treat. I will stay here again the next time I'm in London.

I stayed for a night and it was the worst stay in London I’ve ever had. The room was quite old for the price offered. There was only one small portable heater with a broken wheel which we couldn’t move further. We requested to increase the temperature but we were informed that the heating is controlled centrally. We requested twice for an extra portable heater which we never received. I had to wear jumpers to sleep. We requested a late checkout which was accepted by the reception team but a man knocked on our door twice between 11-12 asking us when we are leaving which was very inconvenient. I was in the middle of a meeting and had to pause twice which was very inconvenient. We woke up in the middle of a fire drill before 10 am and were expected to evacuate. After which we tried going for breakfast but there was no space. No measures were taken to accommodate for breakfast and no apology was given by the hotel staff. The whole day got affected because we woke up in a stressful state and it was a havoc. Absolutely disappointed by the service provided.

Lovely clean room overlooking Tower Bridge and the river Thames. Breakfast is a busy place but seats are always available and a good choice is available from hot to cold items. The location is fantastic with the Tower of London and Tower Bridge within 5 minutes walk. Taxis and London transport buses and trains are all outside the hotel ready to take you into the City centre.
