Not in the centre of everything but everything is within easy walking distance. Nothing is a problem. We were welcomed with a smile and we left with a smile but beware the bar as it has very limited drink choices and is overly expensive especially when it's much much too hot to sit in and enjoy downtime. Something needs to be done about this. All things considered though, this is a lovely place to stay.
The hotel is situated along the river from London city around 15 - 20 min walk from Covent Garden and all the city attractions. The view from our room overlooked the Thames and Westminster Houses of Parliament and Big Ben overall for us as we like a walk was a great location 😁
We stayed here for one night recently, the location isn't the best for getting into the centre of London, we did rather rely on Ubers. Initial impressions were good, with a friendly doorman and a nice reception area. However, the receptionist was very unfriendly (funny enough, she was the only unfriendly member of staff I encountered, even other ones I passed in the corridor or got into the lift were more friendly). Without even a 'hello', she asked which hotel I was checking into (the reception is shared by two hotels in the same chain). She then tried to sell me breakfast at £23 each and totally lost interest in me when I declined. At one point when I asked if the room had a bath, she walked off without a word, then returned to tell me that it did. She just handed me my keycard without a word, I had to confirm which floor my room was on and where the lifts were. Not a brilliant first impression! The room was a really good size with a huge balcony but unfortunately this was not usable as it is right next door to a building site and all the workmen could see into our room so I had to have the curtains on that side permanently closed. There were no chairs on the balcony and the door to the room didn't lock, which was a bit of a worry when we went out. The room had the most amazing view over the river (which I paid extra for), absolutely stunning. It had a Nespresso machine, a separate loo and shower and a lovely big bath. There was also a huge tv and a good lighting system, the bed was nice and big too. However, when I started to look more closely at the room, I realised that it was actually quite tatty. One wall had lots of scuff marks and dirty streaks on it, there were hairs in the bath, the bin was dirty, furniture was chipped and stained and one of the control knobs was missing on the bath. I had turned on the 'Do not disturb' sign but despite this a member of staff came into my room to restock the mini-bar! The air-conditioning was very poor, I'm not sure it was working at all and it was a very hot day. The curtains had lots of small holes in and the bed linen had not been ironed. The shower was nice and big but the temperature fluctuated badly and there were little nodules (presumably to make it non-slip) all over the floor which hurt my feet. When I came to make a cup of tea, there were no sugar sachets at all! I was very disappointed as I have stayed at other hotels in this group which I have liked, so had high hopes for this being a 5*, but I would not stay here again.
We are having a suit room but Ac is not working inspite of several complaints they don't bother and there response can we provide you a fan and as I am paying them around 4500 pounds for my stay please don't recommend for this hotel
The hotel had a lot of problems. The rooms were all show. Nothing worked and they had a strange set up. The towels had holes and we had constantly ask for wash cloths. The tub was beautiful but the water wouldn't drain and the control covers kept falling off.
We stayed at the hotel for a visit for Trooping the Colour. Great location for central London. Walkable distance to many attractions, especially London Eye and Southbank. The suite had a fantastic river view and the facilities, toiletries and bedding were high quality.
We had one night here as a surprise for my husband for his birthday ahead of a day at the cricket at the Oval. Loved the hotel - had the quality and service you would expect for the price you pay. River view was amazing and watching the sun go down over London a great end to the day. Staff were very attentive. Chino Latino restaurant food was delicious. Couldn't really fault the hotel. Price was standard for a central London hotel which to me will always seem a lot, but for a one off special stay, was well worth it.
Wonderful location to see a lot of what London has to offer. Walks along the Thames River. We did the Big Bus tour and it was within walking distance from our hotel. The rooms offer a king bed, which is not widely found in the rest of the United Kingdom.
Very nice hotel, great service. Great location. Would definitely recommend. Rooms on the outside have a better view than rooms on the atrium side. I had a very comfortable room. Good restaurant - with 24 hour room service (needed late night service - working long hours). Fitness center. Business center.
stunning hotel with stunning views. make sure you ask for a room with a balcony, its well worth it! We were given up upgrade to a 2 bed apartment as it was my birthday - nothing was too much, they catered for our needs before we even needed anything! Great service :)
