We booked this hotel thinking it would be an outstanding 5-star, it was somewhat of a let-down. The staff were great, however there are peculiar oddities about the rooms. Everything is digital (nice feature) however the shower in the bathroom is poorly designed. When we checked in, walking into the bathroom the carpet was wet. Wondering why my socks kept getting wet, we realized after turning on the shower that (without a make-shift towel damn) water leaks everywhere. There is no separator, wall or glass between the toilet, mirrors or shower. It's all one space. It wouldn't be bad if there was a ledge to stop run off from the shower entering the carpet and soaking the bathroom floor. We just kept a rolled up towel on the floor to prevent more wetness. Aside from that, upon check-in the staff didn't have any soaps, TP, or kleenex in the room, and had to phone down to get someone to bring it up. The location is great, however. Walking distance to Parliament, London Eye and many other great sights in the area. We also decided to eat at 'Chino Latino' one evening and it was amazing, (separate review of mine). Pan-Asian cuisine restaurant in the hotel. I've stayed at nicer hotels for cheaper prices -- however this was a relatively comfortable stay, with a modern room, good location with a few quirks.
Decided to extend my stay and move here after being disappointed by MontCalm Royal London House for the 2nd time. Much more pleasant experience ... CLEAN rooms, inviting bathrooms, fantastic views, great location, helpful staff. Overall a very satisfying stay! Definitely coming back again!
As ever the Park Plaza gave us a lovely room with fantastic views of the Houses of Parliament. The only hiccup was trying to have the car parked and extracting the key for the balcony! The new Executive Lounge on the 12th floor is an excellent addition.
Highly recommended for business and tourists. This hotel provides wonderful access to London including magnificent views of the River Thames and Houses of Parliament. In terms of costs it is absolutely good value for money.
Excellant view of the Thames. Conveniently located near major attractions on Albert Embankment yet not too busy like CBD located hotels. 2 bedroom suites with river view great for families. Convenient express check out. Valet parking is pricey.
The receptionist sorted out a misunderstanding in a very swift and positive way. Breakfast on the 12th floor had spectacular view and nice staff. The room had several Smart-TVs, which was very usefull. However: The room we got wasn't quiet as good as expected. This due to the cleaning; The glass was dirty on all tables and mirrors and one of the WC couldn't flush.
Good location Good service Near to major attractions Food and grocery near by Plenty of restaurants View of apartments is good in one bedroom and two bedroom apartment Vauxhall is nearest station. London eye walking distance.
The hotel staff was extremely courteous and delivered excellent service. A special word for the lady at the Reception who helped me with a room with a perfect view. Further, the concierge was also really helpful and effortlessly facilitated my check-in and check-out. It is a hotel with a great location and overlooks the best part of London. The room view was so awesome, that i used to get out of my bed and see the time in the Big Ben clock! Princely...isnt it? This experience was priceless. If you are looking to spoil yourself in Luxury, this is surely one of the places to be. Just ensure you face the Thames and the Big Ben. Number 1481 for that perfect view!
We had a 1 BR suite booked and since we did not need the kitchen were given the river facing suite, which was simply put "AWESOME". The room is neat and very spacious - you get what you pay for, I guess!. Now I would like to share some experiences - there are only 2 lifts to service 17 doors??? we had to wait at least 3-5 mins for each trip and the same lift was used for service as well. We went for the breakfast expecting a good relaxed tasty breakfast, but since the breakfast place had no room, were sent to -1 floor where the breakfast was horrible, with very very poor service. Absolutely disappointed. I was frustrated and spoke to the manager of guest relations. She then explained to me that for certain guests the breakfast is served at the executive lounge, there is a son called "skyline" lift which takes you straight to the 12th floor. all this was never told us when we checked in???? very sad to expect this from a hotel of this stature... we still have one more day to go and would have to wait and see how that goes:)
Stayed here many times. Service and staff are always excellent. Treated like royalty. Location of this hotel is absolutely the best for business and pleasure purposes with its close proximity to the House of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, and many other locations of interest.
