Clean, tidy and staff were very friendly. Would definitely go back we even got upgraded on arrival. We had a suite on floor 6 and couldn’t have wanted any more! Complimentary water in the room too. 5 minus walk to Vauxhall’s tube station

They tell you lounge gives you free drinks till 10pm but they don't. Hotel doesn't appear to have staff who talk to each other, they over promise and under deliver. Walls are thin so you can hear folk in room next door plus lifts going up and down. Not impressed.

The hotel charged me an exchange rate fee on an exchange rate free card. They do this using a company called Elavon ahead of charging your exchange fee free card. 3.5%. I immediately called the clerk on this error and made him reverse the transaction. The hotel still kept the fee. I complained to three desk clerks and another one on the phone. I was told it is my problem to solve and that I must call Elavon customer service. I did. Elavon says the hotel must call them to reverse the charge. I have contacted the hotel again. So far no response. I never leave bad reviews. I travel the world extensively and no other business has ever caused this problem with this card, Not even a convenience store.

As a serprise my wife and daughter had bboked up to see "The Play that goes wrong" and a meal at Browns resturant. As the trains were "up the spout" we decided to book into the Plaza on the River and drive to London. On arrival on Saturday we were met by Stetar who was very helpful, he took our bags from the car, arranged Valet parking and showed us to reception wishing me a happy birthday on the way. We checked in and Stetar took our bags to our room. We had a fab day and arrived back at the Plaza late saturday. Sunday came with a fantastic breakfast and on checkout Stetar was there again to help us with our bags into the car. Great wekend great Hotel and great service from Stetar Thanks All

My wife and I try to use this Hotel when we came to London, and as a Club Carlson customer I do find that I am identified as such by the staff. We are fortunate to have been upgraded several times and always find the staff friendly and accommodating. We had a fabulous suite overlooking the river with great views of Big Ben, houses of parliament and the London eye. Very easy to get around London from this location. We always look forward to returning to this Hotel.

When I originally booked through a hotel booking site, I did not get the type of room I wanted. I assumed all rooms had Thames view, but after reading more, it didn't seem to. I wanted to have a special trip with my wife and the hotel worked with me to upgrade the room. They were very understanding of my mistake and kindly obliged. The view was great, we sat on our balcony listening to Big Ben strike at midnight and having a few drinks. The tube station is a bit down the road, but there's a bus stop right in front. The breakfast! Oh the breakfast! It was an AMAZING breakfast with great views over the river.

I booked a single night stay for my wife and I in one of their 1 bedroom balcony suites. First impressions were great, and our concierge Alejandro couldn’t have been more helpful. Once we arrived in our room, we started to notice the general lack of cleanliness, with dust and plaster on the bedside tables, to dirty footprints and dust on the laminate floors, and a ripped painting on the wall. For the first couple of hours there was banging and drilling from an upstairs room, which was apparently having some floor repairs. When we woke up, both my wife and I had not slept very well at all, and both of us complained of a sore back. On closer inspection it was clear that the mattress in our room had seen better days, and that the springs could be felt through the top of the mattress.........not good for a £300 a night hotel! Even a London Premier Inn has decent mattresses at less than half the price of this hotel. Breakfast was however excellent! I made a complaint to our concierge on departure, at which point I settled the bill having been told they would see if they could do something about the bill retrospectively. I have subsequently received an email offering a room upgrade on our next visit. Regrettably, I will not be booking to stay here again, so they can keep their upgrade.

Booked a suite for myself and two other members of my senior leadership team down for a conference having done so for a similar trip last April. I rang beforehand to speak to the hotel and check that the one bedroom suite could be split into separate beds so that 3 males could have separate beds. However upon arrival the front desk informed me that this wasn’t possible and we were left with the uncomfortable position of two staff having to share a bed . Resulted in me having to book my colleague into a different hotel. They offered to upgrade us to a 2 bedroom suite but wanted to charge us extra even though it wasn’t a busy night and some of these rooms sat empty. As a Carlson member it just leaves you very disappointed. Shame as the hotel is superb in all other aspects great location , excellent facilities , executive lounge food and views was great , unfortunately will just look at other chains when travelling for business

The best Hotel to pick if you like the view of the The river and Big Ben, easy to reach if you arrive to VAUXHALL UNDERGROUND STATION (Victoria-line) from the station just walk short distance DO NOT cross the river. best view of the British HP, room xx75, is the best, ask for high level above floor 10, check in was fast thank to (Mr Nouh) DEAR GUSET BE AWARE THAT IF YOU FROGET TO ACTIVATE THE (DO NOT DISTURB) SIGN THE STAFF WILL ENTER THE ROOM AT ANY TIME IF YOU AGNORE THE KNOCK ON THE DOOR REGARDLESS IF YOU A SLEEP OR ENJOYING HOT BATH OR EVEN NACKED,,,,,,ETC.

This hotel is fabulous!!, we stayed with our 14 yr old son and had an amazing time! A few small issues which were dealt with immediately by the staff! Glass of Prosecco or juice on arrival, small box of chocs on my pillow every night, small things but made the stay even more special. So close to Big Ben & Parliament, we walked over Westgate Bridge and had a wander around! Vauxhall tube station only 10 mins away, very good location will be coming again!
