Breakfast was terrible because the dishes smelled awful, like rotten eggs. No matter how many dishes we changed, the smell was there, even in the dessert dishes, which should have smelled delicious.

This is a hotel that charges 5 star prices and offers 3 star service The room was very nice. However I was surprised not to be able to order anything at the bar/sitting room to eat when I arrived at 11-15 am. We had been sent there by the staff in the library. Later I was shocked to discover there is no in room dining - there is take away/dilivery service consisting of sandwiches and pizza. I paid over £26 pounds for a pack fo two sandwiches which looked as if they had been unwrapped and came from M and S- and some crisps - I could have got the lot for under a tenner if I had gone across the road to the little shop in St Thomases or around the corner to a convenience store. Of that 26 quid - £6.99 was a delivery fee - and £2.99 and order fee Rip off Britain is alive and well and its epicentre is the Marriot County Hall Hotel

We enjoyed the room and services provided by the staff. But the breakfast was very disappointing including dry and floury cake, super salty and undercooked bacon… Then our travel case got some indentation probably when the staff transported it. After our complaints, the manager helped us to book a taxi (we paid for it) when we leave as an apology.
