On the whole having read the reviews I was expecting the worse at this hotel. First impressions when we walked in of the small reception area were it looked ok. The bloke behind reception was busy with something and simply said “check in is at 1” we came back later after our conference at the Olympia and another guy was on reception, he seemed fine seemed quite pleasant and a little jovial until a delivery driver came in to drop a food order off for one of the residents. The man was very rude to the driver and extremely rude to the pour resident who had ordered the food! In terms of the room I had a triple room which had the beds packed in but there was space around the beds a small area for hanging clothes up and a small kitchenette within a cupboard. The bathroom was relatively small and a little difficult to get into the shower. It’d be tricky if you were bigger proportioned let’s say. I slept well the room was cool and the bed was comfortable. I won’t be rushing back but overall I’ve stayed in worse just don’t expect any smiley happy service here!!!

The hotel is okay if your not planning to spend much time here. The water was cold the first 2 days we where here. Small storage space and bathroom the shower head the water was coming from all ends of it. The shower door didn't close properly was soaking the floor everytime you had a shower. the sheets weren't changed once in the 5 days we were there. The room was clean. The fridge was smelly need room key for electricity. Was on the side of the road so was very noisy traffic wise. Staff was friendly we didn't go have breakfast there boiled eggs toast and cornflakes wasn't much of a selection, Tea and coffee that you weren't allowed take up to your room or out to the smoking area. Would i stay here again no. good location

A very Central location for a very good price. Rooms were clean and beds made daily. The staff were more than helpful. very polite and the front desk was open 24/7 There was also Free Wifi which was an added bonus

Sorry for the long post, i really hate to leave negative reviews, but I'm struggling to to find something nice to say!! Myself and Daughter were booked for a 2 night stay to attend a near by convention. On arrival the chap at the desk said very little, just prompting words like, "booking number", "id", "card or cash"! then gave us a key card pointed round the corner and said "that way".. obviously not very chatty. When entering the room we weren't sure if we had walked into the broom closet instead, it was tiny, no cupboards to put our things, just a high shelf with small pole and 3 hangers. 2 beds literally side by side with no room between, and the ensuite bathroom was even worse, you had to step into the shower to close the toilet door, then could literally wash your hands whilst still sitting on the loo. if the size was our only concern it would have been ok... Bear in mind this was advertised as a "Self catering room with fully functional kitchenette"!!! 😂🤣 (See photos) after a long journey we decided to put our feet up for an hour before going in search of dinner. I soo wish I hadn't taken my shoes off, my socks stuck to the floor, it was filthy, there was no way it had been cleaned in a long while, there was hair, dust and goodness knows what else covering the entire floor, and the curtains are another story.. Hence we went straight out. on return we grabbed a pizza and some milk for morning tea, opening the fridge we realised it didn't work, but it was late and thought we'd leave it till the morning to mention glad I took pyjamas as the cleanliness of the sheets were very questionable too. After a very unsettled night due to room being so hot and very noisy we got up ready to shower, I moved my bag to find the bottom had been chewed to bits, also the bag that had the empty pizza box had been attacked (this was on the shelf to dispose of in morning!) we immediately went to reception where the manager seemed shocked.. He came into the room, kicked the fridge, kicked the bed base and said "looks like they've gone" and walked out... we went to approach another member of staff that was monitoring the breakfast area, before we had chance to open our mouths she said "were full, you'll have to try later" and also walked off. As we had a full day scheduled so we just left and stopped for breakfast in a cafe on route. later that day, we went online to try and find alternative accommodation for the night, unfortunately there was nothing available. We had no choice but to return to the hotel. we stayed out as long as we could, but when we returned we asked if the room had been checked and cleaned, to which he replied .. yes. Apart from clean towels being placed on our beds, nothing else had been touched. We were exhausted and didnt have the fight in us, so agreed to try get some sleep (staying fully dressed) and to leave first thing. When we went to reception @ 7.30am, we tried explaining how disappointed we were, the member of staff responded with " breakfast is very busy, we will try and fit you in just before we finish at" ( 2.5 hours time) we hadn't even mentioned breakfast and after what we'd seen certainty wouldn't have eaten there anyway! our complaint was blatantly ignored... will NOT recommend this place to anyone... Rant over!!

I stayed here for 2 nights with my 16 year old daughter last weekend. We had room 1 in the basement. The duvet was filthy there was hair in the bed. The windows did not open, the air con didn't work nor did the television. We were right next to the breakfast room and it was very noisy. We left a day early and had to find accommodation else where which ate into our spending money. I am a very tolerant person and try to make the best of everything but this was just awful. We were given 1 pillow each and when i asked if we could have another one i was told no because they were fully booked! I asked if the tv could be fixed and the man on reception said "I'm not sure". When i checked out a day early i wasnt even asked why.

Hay ratones, si van a este hotel y llevan comida en la maleta, cierrenla bien por que si no por la noche entraran y se la comeran, por lo demas esta correcto. They have mice, lock your luggage if you have any food inside, if you don't do it, next morning it will be gone.

I have spent 2 different nights on the way to and from another city in the UK and my experience was not that pleasant at each time as the rooms were just enough to stand (very small) and cold. Staff attitude was also arrogant when I asked for an extra blanket and a towel that did not exist at all. In conclusion, the only good thing was the location. Would I ever go back again? Definetly 'NO'

We spent three nights at the Kensington Suite Hotel and I have to admit I was a bit sceptical about it as I had read so many bad reviews. However this place turned out to be great and for sure deserves far better reviews! Our room wasn't the biggest but it was nice and clean. The men at the reception were always really kind and welcoming and breakfast was nice as well. The location is perfect as you get to the city center in a few mins.

Prior to actually booking this hotel we were somewhat petrified from the reviews, I'm relatively fussy with my accomodation so the reviews set of one too many red flags for my liking... BUT I don't know what's wrong with all these people that have written reviews. This hotel is well located, well cleaned and everything you would expect in a London hotel at this price range. WIFI - it's free and it works really well, management obviously listens to reviews so it's great to see a hotel actually make changes. STAFF - we had nothing but pleasant interactions with the staff during our week long stay here. They are accomodating and helpful. ROOM - ok so the room we had was small, but it's just what you need, enough room for us to put our 2 suitcases and 2 backpacks at the foot of the bed. The bathroom is clean and the shower was great. All in all I think this hotel deserves far better reviews than it has. We had a great stay so thank you to the staff!

All me and my husband wanted was a place to crash overnight as we was out all day and this place was ideal for that reason. we got a cheap deal so we knew it wasn’t going to be 5* quality, but It was clean, the staff was lovely and free basic breakfast, for the money you can’t do wrong.
