Liked that there was an elevator and the desk person was helpful but there were multiple problems. One room had not been fully cleaned. There were items in the fridge, no shower curtain, soap opened at the bathroom sink, and a note on the bathroom door: "Do not use the bathroom." There was also not the right amount of towels. The desk said they had just been working on that room last week and that was the reason. We asked they to clean the bathroom and they did. The other room was musty but they gave me another room, which they were hurriedly cleaning as I got to it. They didn't do a great job however as there were hairs in the bathtub and one of the beds did not have pillows. There was no place to hang clothes and the security latch was broken on my door. Also the curtains in one room covered up the air-conditioning unit. The pillows were lumpy in both bedrooms. Then, in the morning, someone knocked at my door and said they were told to put bags in my room... I think part of the explanation might be that they tried to accommodate us by giving us adjoining rooms near the elevator, because I had my elderly parents with me. I think these rooms were not normally used and not really ready yet to be rented. The breakfast was ok but not great. I think I will pay the $20 more next time to book at a better hotel.
Had an great experience at this hotel. Stayed overnight for a concert was very pleased. The front desk staff was friendly and made sure my friends and I had everything before we went up to our hotel room. They were extremely polite and well mannered. The beds were very clean and comfortable and the room overall was clean and spacious. I would definitely come back here!
Unbelievable customer service, great staff, excellent management made my stay extremely easy and enjoyable. Very clean and very comfortable, cant recommend this place enough. Ask for Ravi, he will take care of any concern and ensure you have the best possible stay.
Absolutely AMAZING stay! I haven't received this kind of a greeting and commendable customer service in ages. I came down for a concert and along side the great concert, my stay was amazing. The staff was so good to us, we had a very warm welcoming at the entrance and everything was provided to us within minutes when asked for. The rooms were clean and it felt just like home. I highly recommend this Econolodge on your next visit! Thank you once again, you'll be seeing me soon :)
Great customer service. The rooms were very clean, and I felt comfortable and welcomed. The front desk service was exceptional. I would strongly recommend this hotel for anyone who's looking for a place to stay in London.
I was very skeptical upon checking out the reviews prior to our arrival. Not the best area of London, despite that, the outside appearance of the hotel was beautifully done. I was pleasently surprised by the appearance of the lobby. It is very sophisticated and elegant, I fell in love with it. I had originally booked out stay for 3 nights, we checked in on the first day at 10 am ( was a little worried that we would have to wait until 3 pm to check in ) as we travelled through out the night for 10 hours from Sault Ste Marie. The gentleman at the desk was very friendly and offered to upgrade us. I was amazed at the size of our room...if you are looking for a King Bed ( w pullout sofa ) REQUEST 203!!!! incredible room!!!! We loved it so much so that we stayed an additional 3 nights. I will agree that the rooms and furniture need some updating, after talking with the General Manager,Shila, we discovered that they have and are continueing to renovate the entire hotel, a little at a time ( we all have to start somewhere ). The entire staff was very friendly, accomodating and helpful. Shila was a pleasure to talk to, we look forward to seeing everyone again in the future. Im excited to see the progression of the renos and upgrades. For the breakfast area: My only suggestion would be to maybe add a waffle maker. We definatly will be back. Best of wishes to Shila and staff on bringing out the potential in this property...excited to see you all again.Thank you for making our trip memorable
The manager at the front desk was the only thing good I could say about this place. He was wonderful! Filthy room, rug, bathroom, etc. (I refused to shower there) Parking lot out back hooks up to a strip club, not a good location. Bed not made, no blanket, one pillow, bed sinks in the middle, dusty. I locked the windows, yes they open. AC doesn't work. We asked for another pillow, mgr brought pillow, noticed unmade room and brought us a blanket. We slept on top of the blanket. Couch had burn marks from iron and was lopsided. TV hard to watch due to static. Food left in fridge. Had family emergency call and had to leave asap, left in am. We could not stay and left. We would not stay here again.
Lobby was nice and clean, sheets were clean, staff was nice but the pros stop there. A/C didn't work, window wouldn't stay open, no fan in the bathroom, although it sounds like there is but that's the ice machine across the hall. Carpet was dirty, night able was disgustingly dirty, phone was dirty, too scared to look in fridge, coffee maker was dirty with only 1 paper cup and still contained used coffee pack from previous guest. Only 2 bath towels and 1 face cloth for a room with 2 double beds. Had to go to front desk for more towels, should have also asked for more toilet paper as there was less then half a roll and we ran out. We were in town for The Mane Event and booked a room late so this was our only option, lesson learned, we will book earlier in the future.
First off, this isn't in the nicest area of London, so don't expect to be comfortable to walk around etc. The lobby is small, and the staff were courteous but I felt it was a little basic and outdated. The elevator is scary, take the stairs if you can. The rooms are ok but were not the cleanest. I didn't want to take off my shoes or lay under the covers. Eventually I did, the beds were uncomfortable and squeaked every time you moved. I didn't take advantage of the breakfast, people I was travelling with went down and brought things back to the room. They didn't comment on the offerings. If you're going to an event at the AgriPlex or the Casino, the location is very close.
I'm not sure what they have renovated other than the sink which was very modern, but the carpet and couch were old. The front desk was somewhat helpful. I called down stairs to ask for a channel lineup for the TV, and said they didn't have one. The bed was alright, but I wouldn't stay here again unless I was in a crunch.
