With good sized + appointed one & two bedroom apartments this is certainly a great place to stay. Very easy access to DLR or a short walk to Canary Wharf Station most of which is is an undercover shopping precinct. With views along the Thames, restaurants nearby it’s ideal really. I’d stay again definitely
The apartment didn't live up to my expectations (based on very positive reviews). It was noisy, looking out onto the main road leading to the Westferry Circus; the double glazing did nothing to dampen the noise as the windows obviously are of poor quality (which also explains a constant draught in the rooms). The furniture is OKish but quite used. I'm sorry to say that the cleanliness did also leave room for improvement: there were some sticky places in the hallway, some of the lidht switches were sticky and grimy, too, and in the shower I found several long, black hairs, definitively not coming from my head. On the bright side: the staff were very friendly, helpfull and flexible.
This booking has been nothing but stressful and disorganised. I originally had booked a studio apartment in Lincoln plaza, I called your company 3 days before to enquire about key collection and was told there was no recognition of my booking. I was eventually transferred to Matt who resolved the issue and moved us to the circus apartments. The apartment was lovely, despite the tv in the bedroom not working and the lamp in the living room. Prior to arriving I received text confirmation from bridgestreet with details including check out which stated it was 11am. At 9:50 a member of the team tried to entire the apartment whilst I was getting out of the shower. We then received a phone call from the receptionist Aja who stated check out is at 10 we told her about the text we received and she was rude and dismissive. I am so completely appalled by the treatment we received. The apartment itself and Matt whom I spoke to however, was of a good quality.
With four of us in our family, we really wanted accomodation in London that allowed the grown-ups to have a separate room to the kids. (We love our kids to bits, but 12 days without any real privacy is just stretching things a tad). BridgeStreet Circus Apartments fit the bill nicely. Our two-bedroom apartment was on the sixth floor with glimpsing views of the Thames and lovely views of Canary Wharf. The apartment was clean and nicely fitted out. I was suprised to find a washer/drier in the kitchen (although I think the machine needs to be cleaned because it did turn most of our light/white clothes a little grey). The kitchen itself was fully kitted out with almost everything you need to prepare and cook your own meals (excellent for budget-minded travelling) and the nearest Tescos was only a short walk away. The queensize beds were incredibly comfy (as were the feather pillows), the service staff were friendly and attentive. Both bedrooms were large with lots of storage. Both rooms also had their own bathroom. The showers worked really well and we never had any issues with running out of hot water. Located a short stoll to the DLR and a 15 min stroll the Canary Wharf Tube station, it is great for those relying on public transport in London. My only two real gripes are the washing machine needing cleaning/maintainence, and neither of the apartment's two safes were working (not ideal when you want to keep your passports locked up). Not as cheap as a hotel to be sure, but definitely worth it if you're travelling with kids and/or another couple. Oh, please note, it IS a bit tricky to find. You need to drive down what looks like the driveway of the hotel next to the apartments to get to the foyer entry. Does make for an interesting phone coversation when you are trying to direct the pizza delivery guy to your location.
When I checked in, I was told my room which I have fully prepaid is not available and they have to move me to a different apartment managed by the group With the assurance that the quality and amenities of the other apartment are the same. I had little choice as any alternative arrangement on the spot by me would cost significantly more money and inconvenience. So this review is on the alternative apartment where I was moved. The alternative accommodation was anything but equal. The original apartment I booked is in Riverside Canary Wharf next to the Four Season Hotel, the alternative apartment was in the Isles of the Dogs , across an active construction site (with noise from 8 am to 5 pm) and next to the Dockland Light Rail. The windows when closed cannot keep out the noise , they cannot be fully open either to let in fresh air. The latter was a killer because the apartment has no air conditioning. The apartment was a balmy 30 degree C in the day time. It is totally intolerable. For full disclosure, the company did give us £75 for a dinner . One of the reason I booked a service apartment instead of a hotel is the availability of a kitchen but cooking in an apartment with an open kitchen in 30 degree temperature is a mission intolerable. We went out for dinner twice. so buyer beware if you are to book your stay with this establishment .
Great big apartments but staff could do with cheering up and having a better understanding of the English language. We also couldn't access our room until after 330pm after a 24hr flight. The room service cleaning was unpredictable and fresh bathroom products such as shampoo and soap were non existent which after paying so much $$ I found rather penny pinching. Great location.
Spent there 5 night on a business trip. I think this can easily be treated as a hotel alternative - you just need to check the price, which can be quite attractive if traveled with family. Apartments are located @Canary Wharf - few mins by walk from DLR/Tube station and shopping centre, just a while by walk from Canary Wharf Pier. Check-in was quick and efficient with extremely helpful guy on the reception (I guess his name was Pedro). Apartment was spacious enough and clean, which is basically what I've expected. Kitchen is equipped enough to do some cooking, if you like - oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher - everything is there. There are just a few remarks which I want to mention - however I treat these as minor issues - overall I value the apartment as very good. - I have raised an issue (late evening) with safe in the apartment (it was closed and I couldn’t open it). I was asked to raise it in the morning so that someone from service can come and fix it. As I was not able to do so – busy days – at the end I didn’t bother to use the safe. - Seems like a fire sensor in apartment is a bit too sensitive – I just took off a pizza out of the oven and it has launched. Very annoying. - Rooms are not soundproof – I could hear every sound on the corridor from inside of the apartment. Overall - I can recommend it as an alternative for a hotel in London - well located for business @Canary Wharf, but good enough for leisure too.
Their maintenance is terrible. We arrived for a 4 night stay and all 3 light bulbs in the bathroom were blown making it completely unusable. I reported it straight away and was told it would not be fixed for at least 2 days. But nothing could be done to move us to another room or compensate us. That was just laziness as they clearly were not fully booked. In total there were 5 blown bulbs in the apartment so its fairly obvious they don't maintain the units. The iron also didn't work and poured boiling water all over my foot. (not dribbled but poured like a waterfall). Don't be fooled by the emails from their CEO asking for feedback and saying they pride themselves on their service. I got no reply from that either. Overall very disappointing and not worth the money.
Stayed in a lovely two bed two bath apartment for one week at Circus Apartments. It is one of the best accommodation options in London, clean, comfortable and spacious with great amenities and a decent sized kitchen thoughtfully supplied with utensils. Staff have a great wecomimg attitude Located a few minutes walk to the Canary Wharf Jubilee and DLR stations, most parts of London are easily accessible. Westferry Circus is also well served by buses. The nearby Canary Wharf shopping malls offers great shopping and dining options. There is lovely walking and jogging space along the banks of the River Thames. The icing on the cake is that the accommodation is great value for money. Clearly, I loved my stay and will definitely be back
Checked in here for 5 days in a 2 bed apartment. Couldn't have asked for more. The apartment was spacious, the kitchen had everything you could need, two nice sized bedrooms with TVs and two large bathrooms. Location is excellent too, 8-10 mins walk to Canary Wharf tube station, 5 mins to the DLR and 2 mins to the Thames Clipper river bus into central London.
