I didn’t get to stay in the hotel as I had to extend my stay at home, due to a death in the family. I contacted Expedia who, in turn tried to contact the hotel before the day and did not receive a reply. When the reply came through it was after the original reservation date so an extension or refund was not approved.

The staff was great, but the bathroom was not. The water in the shower was always backed up and there was grim left over after the water was drained. Also, housekeeping never came to my room even when i left the card out saying that they can come in and clean.

Room needs renovating. Looks like it hasn’t been upgraded since 1960. Sheets and towels had stains on them. Hallway on the 2nd floor had dirty carpets. Food at the hotel restaurant is over priced.

None of the lifts were working, my room was on the 3rd floor. Suitcases were brought up but it was a pain. Safe and mini fridge not plugged in. Were they even working ?No phone in the bedroom. Shower curtain not working properly.Breakfast was cold. Receptionist said they were having a refurb. Don’t understand why that should affect me and the full price I had to pay.

Ridiculously Noisy even when guests were few. Construction projects starting at five in the morning. Elevator out for a week. Took two days to get trash bags after I asked front desk and cleaning manager neglected to get me some herself.

arrived around 11pm to find both lifts out of action, allocated a room on the third floor! (and it seems that is a long term problem due to delay in obtaining spare parts). As the kitchen was closed a 79year old and I ( 82 years) were escorted through it to a service lift within the cooking workspace- which I guess couldn’t happen during food service hours) but we should have been informed in advance to enable booking an alternative! room clean and comfy but at around midnight someone opened my door with a keycard, woke me up & was only prevented from entering my room by the security chain - totally unacceptable. slept well but at 08.30 had to bump cases down three floors of stairs. Breakfast good & plentiful but wouldn’t consider staying at Aerial again
