ibis London Heathrow Airport

we had a long layover in Heathrow before heading to Barcelona. We rented hotel to squeeze in some good sleep instead of suffering in airport. Price is good and rooms are simple, but that is all we were in need of. There is hot water pot and coffee in room! Great little restaurant and bar below. We took the free metro (red bus) to hotel but found that the last "free" stop is 2 stops prior at the Ariel, which is a 2 minute walk, so we got off and walked.

Marie was a wonderful person to work with. She had all the information we needed. Absolutely willing to find a solution to every issue we had. She was a 5 star employee! All other desk employees were helpful also

It's not good. The bed is only good point and the other is so old and tiny room. It was almost for 1 person. the distance from airport is not so close. So this hotel has no good benefit for location. I recommend the other hotel near airport. The staff really ....

I give this hotel a 1 rating because the check-in staff person was friendly and helpful and a dinner we ate in the hotel was good. Otherwise it would rate a zero. At about midnight we had a knock on the door of our room. Since I had friends on the same floor I almost opened the door without checking the peep hole. Since it was so late I thought I better take a look and when I did I saw no one - at first. I waited and finally saw two youngish men - one with a hoodie pulled up over his head - knocking on the door across the hall. I had heard knocks on multiple doors so all I can figure is that they were trolling to see if they could get anyone to open up. God knows what they intended to do is someone did open up. There is no phone in the room so no way to call for help. I would never stay in this hotel again. Obviously there is no security to ensure that folks who have no business on various floors don't have access. I would bet they knew that the floor they were on had non-UK natives on it. I will never go back to this place.

Close to Airport and easy to return car rentals and get to the Tube food was good to very friendly and helpful staff

You can print boarding passes, drink, and dine on premises. All was quite smooth.

We were returning to London for one afternoon/evening before catching an early flight to the USA. We chose a hotel at a reasonable price and close to Heathrow. This hotel fit the bill. The rooms were a bit dated and small, but clean. The hotel was close to airport and inexpensive local transportation. It is on the corner of the final airport hotel stops for a free ride on the buses (may be a charge with luggage). We were able to return to Heathrow for free and catch the tube into central London for final shopping and dinner (around 11 pounds RT). A taxi or shuttle to Heathrow the following morning cost us 10 pounds for 2 people. My only complaint is that we had to figure out most of these transportation options. The hotel staff was eager and tried to be helpful, but they didn't always give all the info needed. A map of the area with transportation options would have been very helpful.

My biggest problem was not exactly hotel, but transportation to the hotel. One time it was hoppa bus 56. Charged 9 pounds for 2 ways. Ok. Second time I was told there is free bus ,any number from 1 to 11....and I was waiting for that bus one hour from LHR. Got confused!

The room was so small there was almost no room for the luggage. There was a tub shower that was extremely difficult to get into for someone using a walker. The beds were extremely uncomfortable and hard. There was no place to sit except on the bed in the room.

Parking lot small so no parking when we arrived in evening--had to find something on street and then move car in morning--need to disclose this on hotel site. Check in easy--lobby lively and open. Room is like a small box--plastic furniture; fan didn't work. Prior guest had smoked in bathroom (it is a non-smoking hotel). Didn't realize until we'd unpacked all of our bags in preparation for flying in a.m. Staff did offer to move us and they did come up to help us with fan, but still didn't work. Bed very comfortable; proximity to heathrow car rental drop off and gas station top up very good (5 minutes).

Noisy room and hallway sounds echo. Heat barely worked.

Convenient location. Basic but decent services. Staff very pleasant. Receptionist SAIF really deserves recognition. Room OK but does not have space to place and open suitcase! Bathroom too dark even with lights on.

Everything was perfect! Don't change a thing! THX!

more PR BS ... the "we're green" labels in the bath seem like a vicious joke when view through the chemical fog left by the noxious cleaning chemicals in the room. It was almost impossible to breath. I tried to air it out but the ridiculous window arrangement ingeniously forbids that. there is nothing much to say except this is a completely senseless over use (abuse) of chemical cleaning agents.. and not the weak stuff... I'm talking about that industrial strength, environmentally controlled stuff. management of the cleaning staff should be fired in disgrace!

I liked it very much. Wonderful lobby. The room was very clean. Quite. A bit far from the center but there is very convenient public transportation. I would definitely come back to this hotel.

Stay at this hotel often when arriving and departing from LHR. It's a budget hotel but this time it seemed dirtier and shabbier than usual. Rug in room was definitely in need of replacement. Have recently stayed in others in area for comparable price and better room. Would only stay again if the room price was much lower than others nearby.

Close to airport, with own coffee-making facilities. Served by free local buses. Free wi-fi useful. Comfortable, quiet room with nice views from room. Attractive public areas. Within walking distance to nice pub/restaurant and next to bowling alley, which we enjoyed using. Some rooms in hotel have updated bathrooms -- not sure why ours did not. Maybe next time? Bathroom could do with hanging space for sponge-bags/clothing, etc. Enjoyed plane-spotting & watching airport activity across road. Good value for money and nice to have outdoor area available, though alongside the main road.

The family room multiple beds. only 1 bed and a desk . We were told that another bed was under the desk. no room in the ... that would leave no walking room in the room. super small to begin with and can't believe you call that a family room. we just wanted more space and was looking for the extra bed not knowing it was locked under a desk. strange place to put one under a desk so you can't use the desk area if you put the bed out
