I have been there around 8 times now so you would think they at least treat you well being a regular customer. The receptionist is always confused, unclear and makes promises to give rooms that he never keeps. The staff switchover at midday so there is no continuity when enquiring in the mornjng. So many times they have let me down in terms of amenities promised. Not every room is the same. This time I paid double the rate for a room with maggots on the floor, dirty sheets and no working television. The receptionist always looks exhausted too and is really slow when it comes to answering questions. I have been there a few times and the first few were ok but it has gotten significantly worse. Honestly, there are better alternatives at the price point they charge.

It’s a good cheap option if you only need to stay a night or two. Clean, exactly what I needed (dorm style room for one night) and it’s right next to the Paddington station which is perfect for getting to the airport. Multiple souvenir shops and fast food options that are all open late right in the same block

It was only a 5 minute walk from Paddington Station which was ideal for me with 2 big cases! Had to leave cases in reception as no lift but that was fine for me as only overnight. Bed was very comfortable.

Our room was frankly too small for 3 people, very dirty, rundown, and had no central heat. The radiator made it too hot and there was no way to turn it off. There was no fan or AC. The shower was too small for our 12 yr. old let alone the adults. There was no counter or shelves in bathroom. Extra WC on the landing was inoperative. Beds were lumpy, unsupportive, and pillows were flat or lumpy depending on the pillow. Only one pillow per person. The stairs to our room on the fourth floor were downright treacherous: Too tall, too steep, and impossibly narrow. There is no lift. I’ve been to London many, many times and this was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Would definitely not recommend unless you plan to only sleep there, but sleep poorly.

Overall, the property is an excellent spot for a heavy sleeper. It is less than a 5 minute walk to Paddington Station, but conversely this does make it quite noticable when trains are arriving/departing. As a deep sleeper this was not an issue, but for someone who is more prone to sounds at night, this could be problematic. This building is in the older part of London and as such does not have central AC available in rooms. Luckily high ceilings were able to mitigate a lot of the heat, but it would be wise to use less covers at night. Area around the property is great: small park directly outside with many restaurant options right around the corner. Additionally Hyde Park and Kensington Palace are a short distance away. I would consider coming back to this hotel for future stays in London.

Overall works for a place to sleep. The room was fairly clean however the bathroom definitely smelled of mildew and there was hair in the shower. They offered late check in which was great as we arrived at midnight. Expedia says breakfast is included but it is definitely not and only runs 8-9am. We had to leave before they offered breakfast so I can’t speak on the quality of food. I would stay here if I was only coming in to sleep for the night and not much more.

Very loud

Room condition was tired and run down, which I personally don’t mind too much when travelling for work - but the noise from the tube is so loud. I was originally put in a basement room, which may as well have literally been in the underground station, I requested to be moved which was begrudgingly agreed to, which was better but still there’s a noticeable amount of noise.
