Rooms were dirty, shower he black mould in it, bugs in rooms. Food inedible, everything was served cold. I would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy! The location was out in the sticks and coming as part of a tour we were stuck n the hotel. There was no entertainment or anything to do Very poor
This hotel is one of those places which passed its heyday long ago. From the outside its about as welcoming as the industrial estate over the road. With the exception of the sheets and towels everything is tired. The first room I stayed in was a smoking room even though I always request a non smoking room. I was bitten in bed and the next morning i found two beetles in the window which I killed and left behind the net curtain. I returned in the evening to find that the cleaner had removed the beetles but now I had 8 live beetles instead ...these weren't small but about 18mm x 10mm, not something I like sleeping with. I immediately asked to be moved to another room. Within the hour i was given the room opposite. This smelt so badly of smoke it was disgusting. Because the hotel was full I feared it was pointless complaining and at best I would be moved to an even worse room. That night I got three hours sleep on a bed that i can only describe as a 'hard as stone' and yet another flying beetle that had somehow infiltrated the room and kept me awake. This was not helped by trying to cover as much skin as possible in order to avoid being bitten and the air con just not working at all. There was a significant amount of mould on the bathroom ceiling and the net curtains were stained with nicotine and had mosquito's squashed into them. After three hours sleep I awoke to find I had been bitten on my hand, finger and face. Having stayed at this hotel before for business, I have vowed never to return and will be writing to our company travel people to have it removed from the list. 4 star ? not really 2 star. The staff are mostly pleasant, but the place just feels like it is being run on a shoestring budget and really just holding on by its fingernails. I'd love the manager to go and look at the Sesmones hotel down the road where for only a couple of euros more a night you can stay in 3 star luxury. No wonder it is always full! Sorry UNA but teh time has come to update, and remodel or close!
We stayed in this hotel as part of a tour. When we arrived the outside was very uninviting but improved once inside the hotel. Our room was clean and comfortable enough to be honest better than expected after our first reaction to the outside. We had an evening meal which was very poor and breakfast was not much better.
We stayed here on a Sunday night. We only saw apart from ours 3 cars in the huge carpark, So the hotel was nearly empty With hindsight it was then not surprising then the restaurant was closed, but also no sandwiches or food of any description was available (till breakfast) Also the bar was closed all Sunday. As here, I often arrive at Hotels in the afternoon and find the bar closed. Normally the reception will have the skill and permission to get me a drink, surly a win win situation for the Hotel and me.. No such attitude here. The hotel makes a big thing about free WiFi. When you log in you find it is very slow and it expressly forbids any form of video downloading, or even software updates. Of course you can pay extra to have a faster connection for what ever purpose you wish. What is good is the bathroom. Which for a new hotel actually has a decent sized bath in it, as well as a good shower over it. The room was comfortable, we had a good night's sleep, helped by the blackout curtains and a comfy bed. The ac was perhaps slightly noiser then average. Breakfast was just OK. Not a huge selection nor of the highest quality, ie the orange juice contained other ingredients then just oranges. The breakfast waiter was excellent, efficient, helpful, observant and spoke good English. Finally I would like to leave this for the Hotel management. The bath had an emergency cord to call for help if needed. They are always very long usually just reaching into the bath itself. The reason for this is so you can get help if you slip badly getting into or out of the bath. Ours was very neatly folded out of the way high up on a towel shelf, completely negating the reason for having one.
Rooms are nice and location is good . The reception looks tired but people are nice . I am coming here for a very long time now so it's my home in Italy. Also the supermarket in front makes it easy to fill the car with Parmiggiano and good Wine
Always a pleasant stay at the Una hotel Lodi. People are genuinly friendly and always at your disposal. Rooms are clean and equiped with everything needed. Point of remark: Hotel internet is (like in many pleaces) not the fastest in the world.
Very polite staff. Location is good enjoyed our stay I have booked this hotel twice and pleased with the service comfortable beds I will book again whenever I visit Italy very clean place. Enjoyed my stay
I had to go there for business many times. What a terrible place. everything is so old and worn out. please dont go there. staff is ok, breakfast is ok. Internet is limited to emails only. Youtube or such not possible. We now go to cascina sesmones which isn`t on tripadvisor yet, but its a wonderful new hotel, set in an old farm with horse stables. Beautifully renovated
Rooms are nice. Restaurant, internet usage and everything else is way overpriced. It is a bit off of the center, so you need a car to go anywhere. It´s also a bit tricky to find. The food in the restaurant is ok, breakfast is above average of Italian hotels.
This hotel is difficult to find and, when found, is an ugly concrete Stalinist building which is badly in need of refurbishment (or demolition, preferably). We arrived at around 9.00pm. We asked if we could eat and were told by a grumpy and impatient woman that we would have to be quick. She told us she could heat some pizza or some lasagne in the microwave or we could have some bread. To get to our room we had to climb a flight of stairs covered with some dirty brown threadbare carpet. Besides the stairs were open containers full of the day's laundry. The room was squalid, grimy and absolutely disgusting. The carpets were filthy and stained and threadbare in places. There was dirt all around the edges. The furniture was all chipped and scratched and one cupboard door would not open. The walls were stained with damp and mildew. There was a dead insect on the windowsill which looked like a cockroach. Outside the window we counted some fifty cigarette butts on the floor. The bathroom taps were so old that the plating had worn off. The water would not drain away until we managed to remove the metal plug. The shower flooded after a few minutes. Breakfast was very poor and accompanied by flies which kept landing on our food. Outside of the hotel there was litter and cigarette butts everywhere. This hotel is a complete and utter disgrace. It is comparable to low range hotels eastern Europe in the 1970's. To describe this as a 'four star' hotel is farcical. The owners should be ashamed.
