Recent guest reviews

Great location for our recent trip to River Fest. The hotel is walking distance from not only River Fest but restaurants and other attractions as well. We loved the security as we came in from the festival each night. They made sure that hotel guests were the ones entering. Comfortable beds, great view, and excellent service.

Well lets start with the disgusting breakfast buffet yak! and then the shootout on the 17th floor sat night please google story, but I guess it could have been worse we all could have been shot by what might have been up to 6 shooters. Know you tell me how you think my wknd went?

Very nice hotel and rooms. The price for the breakfast was way overpriced for the quality and selection that was available. Not impressed with the food.

We booked a room for the night for our company Christmas party. The hotel itself was great. The valet is another story. They LOST our keys. They left them in someone's vehicle. How do you do that? We sat there for 4 hours waiting for a locksmith to come out and cut us a new key just so we could drive home. The valet manager did a very good job handling the situation but the overall experience was not so great!

Wonderful place! Other then almost getting ran over by a valet driver, but he apologized. Front desk customer service could of been better. The didn't give us directions to our room. Spent most of the time talking to each other.

Nice hotel, nice location, nice price, nice staff. Recommended!

The location of this hotel is great as it is close to the Clinton library and the River market.

From the time we checked in (6/6/14), until the time we left (6/8/14) the staff at the front desk was amazing, they helped out wherever they could! That is the extent of the positive review for this hotel. We booked this hotel for a friend’s wedding that I was officiating, the hotel is undergoing a $16 million renovation, so I can give them a pass for the disarray, but we didn’t have our room cleaned a single time during our stay! Even after two calls to the front desk asking for clean towels we didn’t get any type of house cleaning. We ate at the restaurant twice, once for breakfast and once for a club sandwich, the breakfast was average, my wife ate from the breakfast buffet and I ordered Eggs Benedict, but the club sandwich was not good at all, the bread was cold (like it had been toasted several hours before and left to sit out before our sandwich was made) and the bacon used was soggy! Seriously, how does a restaurant mess up a CLUB SANDWICH??? I have stayed at several Marriott properties in the past but I will not be staying at this one again.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Not many amenities due to construction.

Very nice place with courteous staff. One drawback is valet only for hotel parking. Only other parking is public street parking.

I planned a very special Valentine's night out. My husband & I had dinner at The Pancetta located within Marriott. And I surprised him with a nights stay. The heat would not work in the room, we called the front desk, they said an engineer was coming waited approximately 40 min. We called again someone came & advised we needed to move so in the middle of the night we are moving with everything. Also there was painting & repairs being done on or floor so we were awakened @8 am by a loud hammering noise. I believe the should be some type of compensation for this. We did not know this place was under construction with non working heat in the middle of the winter. Please feel free to forward this to Hotel Management Also.

When I arrived the hotel had two reservations for me for the same night. Since it was prepaid through this online booking service (starts with an O), they could not or would not help. I'm hopeful O will refund the second, unnecessary reservation.

Perfectly fine marriot. Boring but in pretty good shape. House keeping missed some blood on the toilet seat. Desk staff was friendly and helpful.

Booked a room with two beds and got a room with one bed. Hotel was booked so they did bring up a cot. The hotel was recently purchased from the Peabody and I do not think the staff was up to snuff with Marriott excellence of service. The host at the restaurant was rather rude and when I ordered a sandwich to go I was told it would be 30 minutes. I never received it. They have some work to do for sure.

Staff were uniformly excellent - friendly, helpful, professional. Room was spacious and comfortable. The recent transition from tube TVs to flat screens has left the rooms with some odd furniture choices. Views from the rooms are all excellent, city or river. Hotel location is top notch. Downtown Little Rock is compact and walkable, with plenty of restaurants, bars, and entertainment options close at hand, as well as trolley service. The Robinson Theater (Broadway) is only a block or two away - perfect! Was disappointed that the hotel didn't have any public outdoor space, given its proximity to the river. Also would have appreciated a pool / hot tub setup. Wish the top end price also included typical mid-range items - breakfast ($15) or bottled water ($3) or parking ($20).

My wife and I stayed in Little Rock for one evening while visiting some old friends and attending the Riverfest festival. We have lived in the area before, so I was familiar with many of the hotels in the area. I selected the Marriott based on past experiences with the property before Marriott purchased it. It's a nice hotel in a great location in the River Market district of downtown. The employees are very friendly and helpful. Everything was clean and in good working order with the room. I felt that the price I paid was very reasonable considering it was a high demand holiday weekend when I stayed. On this visit I did not utilize the hotel's restaurant or bar, but I've had drinks in the lobby bar in the past and the service and atmosphere were very pleasant. My only criticism would be the parking. The only available parking is valet, and it costs $20 (+taxes) every time you take your car off the property. If you plan to use your car during your stay, this could quickly become very expensive. Other hotels in the general area provide free parking which means the expensive parking at this Marriott is a considerable drawback. Overall, it's a nice place with good service, and I felt that it was a good value.

I really enjoyed my stay. The front desk staff was great. Terry was the BEST! Thanks!

Nice, clean hotel. When I made reservations it was the Peabody, when I arrived it was the Marriott. The transition from one owner to the next had no effect on service or quality, of which I was concerned. Great views of the river to the north and downtown to the south. In the center of the cultural and entertainment districts. Parking is primarily valet and a little pricey at $20 per day plus driver tip every time they bring your car around. One of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in at a hotel. (I had to look at the label - Simmons BeautyRest Pillowtop). Overall, a great experience with a helpful staff and an excelllent on-site restaraunt.

This hotel now belongs to Marriott. The rooms are a little dated but clean. Because of limited parking in the area we had to do valet ($20 plus a tip) but at least I didn't have to figure out where to park. The hotel itself has nice amenities but we didn't actually have the opportunity to experience most of them. I wanted to visit the cigar bar, but maybe next time. The complimentary wi-fi in our room was solid and easy to log on. We walked from the hotel to the Flying Fish for dinner a couple of blocks down. There are some other really great restaurants and bars within walking distance. We attended a concert at Verizon Area on the other side of the Arkansas River. There is a pedestrian bridge that puts you almost in the parking lot of the arena. It's nice walk and just added to the experience. We didn't need our car at all during our stay.

Great hotel with a convenient location in downtown Little Rock. Ride the trolley or walk to the great restaurants, stores or historic museums. The staff at the Peabody were very friendly and helpful. The employees that worked the valet were very accommodating and efficient. The kids loved the duck parade, such a great tradition.
