Booked to stay 3 nights as my sister was seriously ill in Lithgow Hospital. Motel was in good location for hospital access. Room was very clean, comfortable and warm. Overnight we received news that sister had been transferred to a Sydney hospital due to the seriousness of her condition. Explained this to proprietor next morning, but was charged a full night's tariff as a cancellation fee! I can understand there might be some 'penalty' for cancelling (perhaps 50%), but this was just money-grabbing. Proprietor claimed that they had been "turning people away" because I had booked the room for three nights. Rubbish! That same day they had two rooms of the same type we had occupied up on their website as being available. Profiteering from the unfortunate circumstances of others, and not an ounce of compassion. Will not return to this place.

Nice clean friendly place. Rear units were very quiet with no noise from highway. Close to town centre restaurants and shopping. We stayed one night on the way south and then returned for another night on our way back to Sydney.

Looking for good accommodation on a budget...... and found it! Depite being right on the Highway, I was giveb a room around the back of the motel and couldnt have been happier Very comfortable room, close drive to restaurants in town

Nice place to stay and handy to town. We had a rear unit so no noise from the highway. Laundry was done by the office and put back in our room dried for $8. No restaurant but take aways across the road.

Our room was really quiet and dark and overall adequate for a mid week night. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was adequate but the water to the shower took a bit of effort to get to the right temperature. The towels were quite small.

We stayed here at the Parkside Motor Inn for two nights while visiting family. We were in room 12 which is a small room with queen bed and a single. The place is clean and the staff friendly. Very modest but comfortable. Retro kind of feel, but in a good way. We enjoyed our stay and will probably stay here the next time too.

was comfortable and clean but could have hand towels and when we asked they did not have any they could also supply some crockery and cutlery other than just Mugs and classes. Was in a good position to shops and pubs and clubs

Thank you for the wonderful personal service. The cleanliness was second to none and made my very comfortable . The menu was homely and extensive, and room service was also available. The office was open until 9PM which was important when travellers arrive later. Thank you !!!!

This motel has obviously undergone some renovation so our stay should have been pleasant. Instead it ranks as one of the worst experiences we have ever had in all our travels. The wife was at the counter when we asked for a room and one would have thought she was doing us a favour by taking our money. She offered us a family room at standard rate because all of the standard rooms were occupied. A family room consisted of a tiny space crammed with a queen bed and two bunk beds. There was hardly enough room to move about let alone open our two suitcases. I wonder what a family of four would do for space. The reception was rude and abrupt but we took the room in spite of this. Then, once settled in, we tried to connect with our children via wifi which proved impossible. I went back to the office to ask for assistance and was met by the husband who gave me a rude response and launched into a tirade blaming the other guests for the poor reception. He is operating a modem/router with both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, both of which are well received in the room but he won't allow guests to use them. Instead he has a measly "extender" which offered intermittent and "one bar" reception in our room. We gave up not wanting to subject ourselves to any further rudeness. There aren't a lot of motels in Lithgow but if you have a choice, do give this one a miss.

Stayed here in January. The accommodation was clean and comfortable for the budget traveller like me. This was renovated sometimes back and it's in reasonable condition for budget travellers. Customer service could be a bit improved.
