The AC DOES work so that is a big plus in my book. The hotel is super close to the metro station so that's awesome as well. Yes, train passes by at night but it's not an loud enough to wake you up. Over all, it's an okay hotel. Not bells and whistles, but a nice place to sleep?
Hotel Roma is a reasonable hotel close up the airport . The hotel is mildly dated but we appreciated the sound proof windows and the reasonably cheap breakfast No parking outside , and no help with luggage but otherwise staff were helpful It was a convenient hotel on our way to the airport * watch the taxi drivers outside the hotel , crooks who charge extra for " luggage" costs
Excellent hotel for the price you pay. Although a little distant from down town, you get there very fast and easily by subway Very helpful personnel, specially a hotel messenger called Bruno, who was exceptionally helpful
For the price paid cant asked more Clean, big and varied breakfast Near the subway and many restaurants Some reviewers said its far for down town, you have subway close to the hotel, easy to go anywhere
This was our first stop into Lisbon for a 10 day pilgrimage through Portugal, France and Spain. It is a "short" 9 euro ride from the airport and the accommodations are clean and bright. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The dining room looks beautiful and the menu inviting but it was overbooked the night we arrived so we went to near by local eateries. They were very good. There are always taxies at the front door so we had no trouble getting to the spots we wanted to see.
Actually, traveled with a group. The accommodation was fairly good and the rooms clean. The breakfast was included with our rates and the place is close to small markets (for water) and other amenities like restaurants, etc. And if required, Metro is just across the street...Although the hotel itself is not very attractive from the outside, the lobby and the staff were helpful and friendly.
A little north of the centre of town, Hotel Roma is very close to the metro which, in ten minutes, will take you into the heart of the city. Large room for three was perfect and all in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our six nights. The restaurant was equally good and very reasonable. Would recommend
The location is in town, within walking distance to the Metro. The room was rather spacious and clean. The staff was friendly and super efficient. I arrived very early in the morning and got a room as soon as another traveller had checked out. Breakfast was chaotic as a bigger group had arrived, Staff was unable to cope, you had to fight for plates and spoons and everything. Overall good for a 3 star hotel and recommendable.
Well, what i liked about this hotel: its right next to a metro station, there are taxis waiting outside all the time and the wlan worked fine. But what really makes me angry is a smelly room and a dirty bathroom. The aircondition smelled moldy and rotten and the hair and the toothpaste of the last guest was all over the sink and the bathroomfloor. They will not see me again!
Booked this as lay over hotel for one night before my flight back home. Hotels looks old from the outside and yet found the rooms spacious, well-maintained and clean. The bathroom even had a tub with it. Check in and out was super fast. One downside though is the absence of complimentary bottled water- a much needed "commodity" after being exposed to hot and humid Lisbon afternoon from the airport.
