Portuguese Soul Alfama|XL Rooftop & River View 10p

Portuguese Soul Alfama comprises two side-by-side restored centuries-old buildings, full of soul and character.

Set in historic Alfama, Lisbon’s most picturesque neighbourhood, it is just steps from some of the city’s best-known monuments.

Ideal for families and groups of friends travelling together, the property includes four apartments which can be booked separately or combined.

Together, the apartments accommodate up to 20 guests across 10 bedrooms, 12 beds and 7 bathrooms. Guests can enjoy a charming private patio, a terrace and an exceptionally spacious rooftop — the perfect setting for breakfast, sunset drinks or a peaceful evening overlooking Alfama’s rooftops.

Filled with natural light, the interiors are rich in traditional Portuguese character. Large windows, classic iron balconies, vintage furniture, Portuguese tiles and crystal chandeliers create a distinctive and welcoming atmosphere.

Original oil paintings can be found throughout the property, from canvases to hand-painted furniture. Lines from poems, song lyrics and traditional fado add a unique touch, creating an immersive setting inspired by art, music and literature.

Please note that the property is arranged over several floors connected by open staircases and does not have a lift. It is therefore not suitable for guests with reduced mobility and may not be suitable for very young children.

The property is also equipped with a security alarm and a safe for guests’ convenience.

As the property is located in a historic part of Alfama, cars are not permitted on the narrow street. The nearest taxi or Uber drop-off point is in front of the Fado Museum, just a 3-minute walk away.

Parking is available near the Fado Museum, approximately 3 minutes away on foot, with free parking at night, subject to local signage and availability. Alternatively, guests can use the Campo das Cebolas car park, around a 10-minute walk away.
A car is generally not necessary, as many of Lisbon’s main attractions are within walking distance.
