Great property in a fantastic location. Room was comfy, and the restaurant excellent for both dinner and breakfast.

We arrived early but they were able to get us in a room right away. The people at the front desk was really nice and helpful . Nice touch with the nightly free chocolates at bedside and chamomile tea.

Horrible front desk staff. This is not a five star hotel. The bar takes forever to get served. Overcharged in the breakfast restaurant. I stayed twice in three weeks for about ten days no one had a clue as to my prior stay. Sofitel has to step up its training. Pseudo French snobbery does not work in Lisbon.

A pleasant hotel with some staffing issues. Our plane got us to the property at 6 am. It took six more hours in the lobby to get a room.

In our opinion, this hotel is in an excellent area. Beautiful tree lined avenue with many nice shops, a variety of restaurants, and local vendors selling their products. The metro is right across the street and it’s within walking distance to many sights. The staff was very attentive and as usual with every Sofitel hotel very professional and accommodating. The room was very comfortable, however, we did find the mattress lumpy and not comfortable. We did mention it to them so hopefully they will address the issue.

Location is very convenient, room is a little bit small but very clean.

What you expect from Sofitel. Clean, luxurious, quiet. The staff is fantastic.

Staff is great and service is superb. The hotel is more like a 4 star hotel though. Our room had a terrible smell coming from the shower drain for two consecutive nights. We got another room after informing the front desk. They were more than accommodating and even wrote us an apology note for the inconvenience; they also gave us a small bottle of wine, which I thought was very nice of them. We had another issue the night before we left due to another guest’s mistake and once again, hotel management took care of it. I would recommend this place for its service, location and the very confortable beds.

Great stay we even got guest of the day and had a lovely bottle of wine waiting for us when we got to our room.

AC is limited as in most European hotels, cannot control to desired temp - too hot at night

Very comfortable bed and turn down service was amazing!

We stayed 2 nights at Sofitel Lisboa during our trip. All the staff were very kind and friendly, the room was (not big, but city hotel sized, comfortable room) efficient. The location is close to many areas (airport 15-20 min away by cab, Bairro Alto- walking distance, the closest train stop-Rossio 5-10 min walk depends on how fast you walk) Lots of shops and other plazas are walkable.

Lovely hotel, excellent location. Room service was great. Bathroom was great.. Room was a little small.

Had a very pleasant stay at this hotel at the end of a Mediterranean cruise. The hotel is situated on a beautiful tree lined street in an excellent location. All the staff were wonderful; bellman, reception, concierge. When we first arrived from the port by taxi, we were ripped off by the taxi driver. The quick thinking bellman took down the license plate of the cab and gave us directions to the tourists police office, so that we could file a complaint. The main point that I would like to make here is that the hotel and staff were great. The city is beautiful, not yet destroyed by greedy developers, but the populace is not so wonderful. In addition to the crooked cab driver (if you must go to Lisbon use Uber), we had an incident at a restaurant where they tried to pad our bill with a cover charge and what amounted to a 24% service charge for a mediocre lunch at a sidewalk cafe. We also learned that pickpockets run rampant in the tourist areas. To sum up, I would advise anyone who will listen to avoid Lisbon. However, if you must go, stay at the Sofitel and when you go out, watch your wallet and be careful with anyone that you come in contact with in the tourist areas.

Wonderful stay at a wonderful hotel. Everything was top notch. We will absolutely look to stay there again when returning to Lisbon
