Good location. Clean. Friendly. Breakfast is a good value (for us it was an additional 8Euro charge).. In fact we decided to stay here at the end of our vacation as well. Good value.
The room was confortable. It had kettle. We could prepare tea and coffee. Only two outlets. That was dissapointed. The staff was very kind.

Nice stay. Great location in downtown Lisbon with easy access to Rossio Plaza and other major tourist sites.
Reserved and paid for a room 4 months ahead. Received a text message 2 days prior to stay that the room is not available. When trying to check in, was told that they had a plumbing problem and that we are getting a room within 15 min walking time to the center of the city, supposedly at a better hotel with a pool and spa and paid breakfast for both days. We were given an Uber to transport us to that hotel. Uber took half an hour to get there. At the other hotel (Vila Gale Opera =VG), they said that the room was reserved but not paid for. After some discussion, VG found a credit card to charge the room to, but not the breakfast!! The personnel said that they could not reach Rossio Garden (=RG) for breakfast authorization. Therefore, the next day we ate the breakfast outside. Then took the tram to take us to the heart of the city where RG is. Upon confronting RG personnel in person, I was given an opportunity to talk to their manager again by phone. He then promised to authorize the payment for the breakfast, send us an Uber to VG that afternoon (half an hour for that ride) and also an Uber the next morning to the airport since the distance to the airport from VG was twice as long as from RG. The first two promises were fulfilled, but not without some trouble involving the two hotel managers on the phone regarding breakfast. Uber the next morning did not materialize again. 3 calls later, RG promised to reimburse us for a taxi ride. Later explained that Uber had an accident.
The location is awesome, with steps to the beach. The hotel is being updated by the new owner, a NY hotel/restaurant owner who knows what discerning customers want. According to him the rooms will be modernized over the coming off season. The rooftop restaurant has a killer view and the food and drink while closer to NY prices are also closer to NY's demanding high quality and taste. This is a nice place to stay and would like to see what the new owner will do I. The future.
The hotel is in the tourist zone where you are accusted by restaurant hawkers every time you walked by. The room was clean but small. The shower was very small, it was difficult for me to fit in and I am not a large person.
"Bundled" this hotel with round-trip airline from the USA. Very affordable and a perfect location! Staff was helpful and always willing to speak English. Very welcoming. Also very pleased to see no carpeting in the modest rooms. If you desire an in room coffee amenity, a "kettle" is available upon request. Beautiful hotel located on one of the best seafood restaurant avenues of Europe!
Comfortable, convenient and clean We had a corner room on the top floor with large windows on both side. Very nice.
