This nice small hotel in the centre of Lisbon is really worth considering. No views from the standard rooms but very well appointed, great staff. I will stay there again when I return! Underground parking is available at a small price, but don't take anything other than a small car as the spiral down to it is tight.
Stayed for four nights with my fiancée at the end of October and beginning of November. Uber from the airport worked really well and we arrived at the hotel at 1030 am. Room wasn't ready but reception said we could have it within the hour so we sat outside and had a drink. I'd emailed the hotel because it was my birthday and they didn't disappoint - room 84 with its own private sun terrace. We were next to the honesty bar but didn't use it and just bought drinks from the local supermarket and put them in the fridge. Hotel gave us a nice bottle of champagne for my birthday which we enjoyed on the terrace. Room was wonderful with a huge shower (no bath), massive bed and fast wifi. Location was great as hop on hop off bus was around the corner. We walked everywhere as hotel was really close to one of the main shopping streets with Michael Kors, Lacoste, Guess etc. Didn't eat in the hotel as so many options nearby especially for breakfast. For us, apart from excellent rooms, the staff in this hotel are its main asset. Nothing was too much trouble. They even helped us book tickets to Porto on the train (tip - if you do book online, you need passports for both the booking and when you travel). We travel a lot but this hotel gets 5 stars in our opinion. Great value, very cool, good location and wonderful staff. Can't recommend it high enough.
We frequently stay in lisbon. For over 150 euros per night, excluding breakfast, in november, this doesn't justify another try. You decide if location is central enough. For Chiado or where you will want to eat, expect to need a taxi. We arrived late and the check in was poor. Were required to pay immediately, as if we were going to run off in the morning. Room was newish but devoid of any and all character. Felt like a holiday inn had been glitzed up. Industrial everything. Doors were heavy, but provided no soundproofing. Can't figure out why with all of the extras in the room, can't seem to justify an extra bar of soap.
Room was clean, small but very cosy. Bed was very comfortable with a superb shower. Location ideal and waking distance to most of the main shops, restaurants etc They have a roof top pool which looked fantastic but unfortunately did not get enough time to check it out.
A nice hotel near to the city centre but situated in a quiet street. Check in was excellent and informative, well done Filipa! Service was good, efficient and professional throughout but a little disorganised at breakfast. I think the breakfast area is too small for a hotel of this size so things can get chaotic and food run out etc. Rooms were well equipped and clean. Still hasn’t got that Porto Bay ‘feel’ or culture but that might come with time, this is still a new hotel (albeit set in an old building). Restaurant in the evening was superb. Very quiet, excellent food and incredibly cheap for a hotel. Even if you don’t stay here try it for its food!
The airport transfer we booked directly with the hotel was waiting for us on arrival at the airport. Nice vehicle and friendly driver. The hotel is located on a side street parallel to the Liberdade, so Is nice and quiet and well located. We found the staff behind reception very helpful and check in was quick. The room we were allocated was a good size with king bed, nice bathroom and quiet. Loads of English tv channels as well. Breakfast was also very good. The rooftop pool was an added bonus to sit in and chill out (as long as no kids around). All in all a fab hotel in an excellent location with great facilities. I’d classify as a 5 star hotel as meets all the criteria.
Hotel has excellent and very helpful staff . The front desk staff were always patient in providing information and advice. Good location with easy access to tourist sites and restaurants. Hotel has a small boutique feel and is well maintained. Rooms are not large, but this is the norm in Europe. Good buffet breakfast. Solid 4 star hotel and would highly recommend.
This is a really nice hotel with a central but still quiet location on a back street. It has a nice touch, a cozy atmosphere and definitely earns its four stars. The breakfast is excellent and served in a well maintained dining room. The self-service sky bar is magnificent and overlooking the neighboring blocks. The only drawback is the air conditioner in the room, which was louder than expected (and therefore we decided to turn it off at night).
Used this hotel for a business trip. Good staff, nice onsite restaurant. Rooms was spacious, comfortable beds, decor done well. Location was ok and worked well for me. Nice small pool on the rooftop. There are two Porobay Hotels in Lisbon be sure to tell the taxi the right one :)
Very good hotel just off the Marquez Pompal subway station and roundabout.Easily accessible from the airport with one change.Reasonable breakfast at 15 euros. Only thing missing is a north American 2-pin plug in the bathroom .Bring an adapter. Junior Suite for 3 broaden choices for family travelling together
