First time we have stayed at the Ibis (Lincoln) and we have been pleasantly surprised. Just shows you shouldn’t listen to others and make your own decisions. Our room 308 on the top floor was a nice size and had a walk in shower which we loved. The rooms style is pretty basic no homely touches like pictures but it was clean the bed was very hard. The staff were nice and efficient and the breakfast at £8.95 each was self service and as much as you could eat. Like I said a nice surprise and we will be back .
Very disappointed with this hotel (we stayed at three different Accor/Ibis hotels during our trip to Austria and this was the worst by far). Room seemed cramped and there was a gap underneath the door (which also didn't shut properly unless you slammed it - not good for neighbours!). Curtains also didn't fully fit the window and the double bed had a single quilt on it! Hotel was was busy and we were told it was full so no real option to move.. The only good thing about the the hotel was its location - but would avoid if we ever go back to the area.
Convenient for railway station, five minute walk Restaurant menu good compared to hotels of similar standard Rooms larger than some Ibis Hotels, sufficient plugs for chargers Shower water pressure good
Very good hotel well situated for travel needs close to railway station and public transport room very good always clean and tidy staff very friendly and helpful general tidyness of reception area and bar area excellent
I recently stayed here for one night. The staff at the reception is extremely friendly and very helpfull! Rooms are small, but very clean, great shower in the bathroom and excellent bed. I had a room at the 'street side' of the hotel, which was pretty noisy due to the cars and people outside, so ask a room at the back side, if possible. Breakfast was excellent, great variety, bake your own waffles! I do recommend this hotel, the value for money is excellent.
...the staff was friendly (except for the bar keeper who was a bit grumpy), it was very clean and the beds are the usual super comfortable IBIS standard. But the whole place felt impersonal, it is rather huge with lots and lots of small rooms. There was nothing wrong, but somehow it did not feel as good as most other IBIS hotels. Breakfast I did not take, way too expensive. Maybe something was on in Linz, because it was not cheap compared to hotels in Vienna, where I stayed before going to Linz.
Excellent value. Inexpensive room, very comfortable bed (best ever in a hotel I've stayed in, not too hard not too soft (we'll call that the Goldilocks test :-)), powerful shower, and friendly staff. Recommended..
I was visiting the Opera in Linz and arrived by train from Vienna airport so this hotel was extremely convenient. The staff were particularly helpful and pleasant and the hotel warranted its 3 stars ! My only problem was its somewhat unimaginative meal menu.
Location is good for convenient arrival; easy access from A7/B139 roads or the train station right accross the street. Underground garage at discount price. 10 minutes walk to shopping street Landstraße which takes you to the main square. Room was sufficiently spacious and so was the bathroom. No minibar or coffe/tea maker though and only the very basic bathroom amenities. Double bed was great, pillows somewhat soft for my taste. Everything was clean. Breakfast was great, good quality and choice of food. Staff were consistently friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend this hotel for travellers on budget.
Just across the street of Linz hbf,and there's a grocery store just downstairs. Main streets and eateries are within 10 min talk (or you prefer city tram from Hbf B1). Super convenient. Breakfast excellent and good service staffs Recommend to opt-in when checking in. Hotel staffs were friendly and helpful. Room was okay (it's ibis) but clean. Beds was comfortable for good sleeping quality. Not-so-good: check-in and out experience was awful when there were a group and just one staff at front desk. We spent 30 min waiting for checking-in, and another 10 min to check-out.
