DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! Place smelled of stale cigarette smoke and almost everything you touched had a sticky nicotine feel to it. rooms were seriously in need of repair and a MAJOR cleaning. Dont know if heat/ac worked or not because controls looked all busted up, just lucky it wasnt needed. Bed linens felt as if they hadnt been chaned after the last guest. Bathroom looked like something out of a horror movie. Tub and shower fixtures were grimey and needing cleaned, tub looked as if it hadn't been scrubbed out for awhile and had what looked liked soap scum all in it. Only had 1 towel, wash cloth, and small towel to put on the floor in the whole room. Didnt even get brave enough to use the shower. Basicly a run down hole in the wall, flea bag dump. Wouldn't even recommend it to my enemies...
Was $41 after taxes. Besides the feel of the hallways and the unfamiliar smell it wasn't that bad. The bottom of the bath tub wasn't freshly clean but other than that it was ok. It included a little breakfast so for that price I really cant complain.
Good is guy at office is very nice but doesn't speak English very well. He really tries to understand and express himself. Room is clean and small flat screen TVs. Bad is heater works but not well. Broke off the wall. We've been here a week without internet. Had to use our broadband card and data. Caulking around tub not done right so there is mold growing. Tub/shower has two turn on shower flippers. Neither one shuts of the faucet so you have to turn up the hot water to get warmer water then the tub itself starts filling with really hot water. Charge for the week for pets is 25.00. I would think if you stayed a day the charge would be 25.00.No security locks on outside doors. Anyone can walk in. Rooms all inside doors. Lighting good in hall. We planned on being here a lot longer than one week but will be changing hotels over the weekend. On the internet, it says fitness center. None here. Would be a very OK room if they had internet.
The fellow at the front desk was very nice, solving a problem with the last minute booking we had done on the road through Hotels.com. That was the end of any good experiences. Choice Hotels should be ashamed of this representation of their offerings. It may have been a non smoking room - but if so, it only became one in the past week going by the smell. There was a dried toilet paper covering the smoke detector. The fan in the bathroom was hanging down from the ceiling. The lamps and radio were unplugged and would have involved moving a king sized bed to get at the outlet, so we did without. Some of the hallways were very dirty. I don't expect luxury or amenities at this discounted price - just a non smelling clean room with the very basics working. The people who run this hotel either have no idea or don't care about what they are doing. Avoid at all costs.
Clean but definitely in need of a major makeover. Heating unit's grill was broken, tub had a crack and over the tub the ceiling vent was broken. Room was cold when we got there (in winter) and lights and small appliances were unplugged. Continental breakfast consisted of cereal and small powdered donuts. Stay here only if you have no other choice. They accept pets; the only reason we stayed.
I have never stayed at a hotel that has needed so much repair and updates. First off, the hotel smelled dirty when I walked into the lobby. Customer service when I checked in was ridiculous. Front desk agent was miserable and did not know english. He seemed annoyed I interrupted him while he was on the phone. Mattresses are so worn out that you can bend it in half. Moldy around tub. Air conditioning didnt work. Towels and sheets had stains on them. This place is a dump. Please dont stay here. Any other hotel in the area is a better choice. I pulled into the parking lot because it seemed like a quiet hotel but after staying here for one night I now know why there were only two cars in the parking lot.
We were called at 3:30 pm day of arrival (we were leaving the house within a ½ hour for the hotel, a 75 minute drive) that there was a plumbing problem. I said, just give us a different room. He said there were no others. They were trying to fix the problem. Upon arrival we were given our key with problem apparently fixed. Hotel is run down. They have started to make repairs, but there is a lot to do. Room was basically OK, but carpet next to bed was wet as I stepped on it with sock feet. Box springs were sitting directly on the floor with mattress atop it; no frame. I suppose that the box springs will soak up some of the water. Drapes needed a few more hooks to cover the window. There were three lamps, only one bulb. I went to the front desk to get a bulb or two. He asked what room and told me he'd bring them. We waited. After awhile he arrived with bulbs. We looked at the lamps and found that two had there cords coiled and safety tied together and there were no outlets to plug them into anyways, except way behind the bureau. He then said that he would bring an extension cord. He took the bulbs with him. We waited more than an hour. I went back to the desk and the door between the hallway and the breakfast room and front desk area was locked. While I was jiggling the handle thinking I just wasn't turning it right, the clerk looked through the window of the door. I asked about the cord. He said there was none and walked away. Didn't open the door. Didn't apologize. I walked away mad. I went to the room and looked for another hotel on the internet, but many were booked full or were over $100. By now it's after 11 pm, so we stayed. This morning we went for breakfast. My wife got juice and cereal. I decided on the biscuit & gravy. There was very little gravy left, but enough for me. There was only a ½ cup of juice left. It had been in a pitcher as the juice machine was signed "out of order". I had cereal after. By now another guest was there for breakfast. We hadn't seen any staff member; 15 minutes. No gravy, no juice, no milk. I think that there had been donuts or something else, but that area was empty as well. The staff member showed up and brought just enough for this man to get breakfast. Upon leaving the area to go back to the room, I noticed that the men's room too was "out of order". I will not stay there again. They may be trying to get the place in shape, but it is not a place to stay now!
I seen all the bad reviews here and should have listened. I called the hotel and was told that they remodeled. Which apparently was just a few rooms and not the one I was given to stay in. From the minute you walk in there is a pungent odor that never goes away. To say the place is filthy is an understatement. Carpets are disgusting, walls stained and probably the worst bed I have laid down on. Also there is graffiti on the windows that no one has bothered to remove. Moved out and found another hotel 30 min from where I'm working at but it's totally worth it to not have to stay in that dump. I would pay 600$ a week before this place ever got a second thought. And btw the best rate they offer is 370$ per week, what a joke.
We checked in around 11:00 pm. We were in room 258. No elevator and stairways not marked well enough to be easily seen in the dim lighting. The hallways had furniture and mattresses stacked all over and were so dirty they smelled like a dirty fish tank. Our room had strong fumes of paint, glue and possibly new carpeting. New drywall with no paint with very large hole for toilet plumbing. Dirty glue in bathtub and the 2 tiled walls needed scrubbing. There was a hole all the way through the wall to the next room under the sink big enough for a small child to crawl through. The curtains didn't completely cover the window and there were cigarette ashes on one of the beds sheets. You could here the people in the next room talking as there seems to be no soundproofing between the walls. We were told the beds had new mattresses but they lied the mattresses were old and the bed springs were grime covered. The place was so dirty if we had it to do over we would've gone elsewhere. The microwave was the kind you'd buy to go over your stove and was sitting on a bedside table next to the sink it also wasn't plugged in. There was no phone in our room and no Wifi even though they do advertise as having Wifi. When we left there was vomit in the parking lot next to our vehicle. I couldn't possibly even give 1 star this place looked like a middle eastern war zone.
They say they are going to be a Red Roof Inn in February 2016. Parking lot has nails and cigarette butts all over. Bed spread had blood on inside. Turned it so the maid could see but didn't change it. Room somewhat cleaned every day during our 4 days here. No extra soap or shampoo left by maid. Shower gives first good temperature then gets cold and hot and cold and hot. No security doors to the outside so anyone can wander up and down the hallway. No security cameras in place. Ice machine in hallway leaks and floor and carpet constantly wet. Desk people are polite and helpful. Rooms are small. Nice small refrigerator that appears to be somewhat new but the microwave is very old with a large crack in the glass. Carpet in the room has lots of stains on it. Inside doors painted a dark grey and low door frame is rotten. Bathroom sink fixture is loose and wobbly.
