This hotel is impossibly billing itself as 3-star on some websites, which boggles the imagination. While the location is nice and staff are friendly, the facilities are dire. One hallway smelled like a yeast infection, the carpet is disgusting, the bathrooms are fancifully obsolete, the ceilings are low and depressing, the lobby is in near-disrepair, and a very average brekkie is served in a room which appears to be half torn apart.
Reserved a king bed room as a "deal" off Wyndham and somehow it got switched to a basic queen bed room when I arrived at the front desk. Never again will I stay at a Ramada!!
I was originally slated to stay in the hotel for ten nights. I left after one. Staff at the front desk wasn't especially friendly nor did she seem all too thrilled with her lot in life. Couldn't offer decent suggestions on where to dine and didn't seem to know where anything was in the city. The room was large but incredibly dated. Linen and towels were well past their serviceable lives and I was quite concerned that in the bathroom, apart from not having ventilation with a fan, was a t-bar ceiling with tiles? The chances of mold accumulation would be high. The tub was not cleaned adequately and I wore sandals when showering. The breakfast offering definitely evoked the phrase: "why bother?" It was pitiful: low quality breakfast meats and flavourless eggs. The dining room itself was in poor condition as was the overall lobby: carpets that clearly were old and decaying, and just general poor repair. I wanted to ask the general manager some questions related to my stay (not to complain) but on other issues. He was neither available when I checked in at 3 p.m. nor was he present at the hotel when I checked out the following morning around 9 a.m. If you're arriving late and leaving early for a simple overnight and need a bed and a shower this place will meet those aims. Beyond that, this hotel just simply isn't competitive even in the budget category.
Rooms were adequate for one night, I wouldn't want to stay any longer. The breakfast was very poor and badly organised but we ate sufficient to keep us going until lunch. Parking was close by and had free wifi.
It was ok I guess. There is no pool if that is important to you. The breakfast was very good and the personnel were very friendly. The room was clean enough. The prices were a bit high for the place but whatever. I would recommend this place.
Stayed here for four nights. The hotel is not my best place to stay as it is really dated. The lobby was very small and dark, with all carpets not very clean. Way too much brick, even in our bathroom. Carpet throughout was not clean. All the walls in the place was mismatched so not inviting. Had four people come visit us there, and two remarked the same thing, wired hotel, dark. Breakfast was just ok, but cold sausages everyday. Will not book there again.
I was so pleased with my stay at the Lethbridge Ramada. The hotel is an older building and the exterior and interior walls are made of brick. That means that sound does not travel through from one room to another. I spent one of the quietest nights ever, sleeping peacefully in my room. The desk clerk described it as being in a "sound cloud". Even though the building is older, the rooms have been kept up to date. My room was impeccably clean. The carpet looked new and the walls were freshly painted. It looks as though the hallways have not yet been renovated, and the carpeting there is old and tired looking, but don't let that put you off.
Ramada Lethbridge was a huge step up from Ramada Limited in Grand Forks. We felt like we'd just walked into luxury, though it is still a mid-range hotel. The bed was great for us, the usual amenities were offered, and we were very pleased with the value.
This hotel is one of the older hotels in town and is showing its age through wear and tear. However, the staff and management go out of their way to work with and excel in every area they can control. The rooms are spotlessly cleaned, they offer a breakfast, the Wifi is very fast and there is even a large number of cable channels to pick from. The air conditioner in the room, while again, on the older side, worked perfectly. Fridges in hotel rooms sometimes only work passably well, this one kept beverages very cold. Rooms were also equipped with a microwave. There are apparently cameras set up outside and security guards at night. Would absolutely stay here again. The only criticism I had was the quality of the paper products, oddly enough. The toilet paper and kleenex were very rough and cheap. In a hotel that seems to excel in every area they can, this was odd.
We had a top floor room with a great view, hotel was in good shape, breakfast was included and was better than most continental breakfast as it had several hot items. Staff was very courteous and helpful!
