This is a beautiful period building set on stunning gardens. I can see the appeal for events like weddings or graduations. But the restaurant is all wrong. The tables are set for fine dining but the service and the food are no where near fine. The waiters don't clear the cutlery and glasses which are not being used. The lunch menu is beef, pasta, chicken or fish. And it was terrible. The beef and mash were dry and appeared to have been microwaved. Ditto for the carrots and parsnips. It is really not acceptable for a buffet in a pub, let alone for a restaurant that purports high end cuisine. I just wish there was some honesty. If you are serving €20 pub grub, don't set the dining room for haute cuisine. Finally the piped muzak was really loud and annoying. Some pianist doing a death march to "Aul lang syne" is seriously depressing. I felt like I was stuck in a lift in 1985. The whole thing needs a serious rethink.

My family and I stayed here for a night to celebrate my college graduation. The hotel itself is set in a nice quiet location outside the town. You can drive to the town within 5 minutes or it’s about a 10-15 minute walk. We stayed in the Manor House rooms. These are large, spacious and have a nice living area. The bathrooms are similarly spacious and clean. While the wallpapers and carpets are on the older side, the rooms were lovely. The bar area was nice and quiet which suited us, if you’re looking for atmosphere then better to head down the town. But this would definitely suit couples or families looking for relaxation. The only negative would be breakfast. While we enjoyed our meal, the breakfast area is quite small. You have to wait a while for replenishment of food. This is understandable as the hotel is quite small and it seemed to be booked out. We found ourselves queuing for hot food only for it to run out and then have to sit back down to wait a few minutes for replenishment. Overall nice stay! Will return in future!

I went here today for my daughter's christening and it was just beautiful from start too finish, the staff where lovely and so was the kind manager looking after us. I would highly recommend the food, the grounds are exceptional and I will return soon with my family for a meal as the food was also beautiful and they couldn't of done enough for our party

We were allocated Room 18 in the Courtyard. On entering the room a strong smell of damp. Bathroom curtain was black with dirt and damp, damp and dirt on walls around the window, bath panel wood cracked and chipped. Damp and dirt down the side and back of bedside table. Photos attached. Breakfast was a joke on our last 2 mornings food in warming trays which was cold. On our last morning very little breakfast items by 9.45am. I asked if it was possible to get some sausages and fried egg. Ourselves and the other 5 guests who arrived for breakfast after us and who also asked for other breakfast items too were given different excuses as to why we as guests could not get breakfast items as requested. 1. Change of menu. 2. The next table were told change of chef. 3. Chef was cleaning the kitchen and all the fryers were turned off. 4. Maybe the chef wants to finish early. So whatever the real reason was. The chef comes before guests. We were reimbursed for our breakfasts, but no offer of compensation for having to stay a night in a damp and dirty room 18. Room 18 was allocated to another guest even after we complained and showed the photos of the problems to a member of staff. We requested to be moved to another room. The other room was a lot better cleaner and no sign of damp. I would not recommend the Leixlip Manor Hotel.

The last night of our 10 day Ireland Trip was spent at Leixlip Manor Hotel & Garden. Convenient to the airport. Outstanding value. Service (including printing out boarding passes) was terrific. We lucked out with one of the largest rooms they had (didn’t ask for it, just received it)which was large and comfortable. View of horses outside the windows was memorable. Very good dinner on site. We had an early flight and they set up a cold breakfast for us. Great place. Great staff. Would return in a minute.

Old manor house, rooms in courtyard are small and some have double bed (not queen). Service lackluster and not accommodating. Sorry, but not up to standards for us Americans unless we were looking for bare bones budget accommodations.

Stayed here for our Anniversary - The room in the Manor House was absolutely beautiful - Clean and welcoming, stylish and sophisticated.Loved it - The breakfast was top notch as were the staff - Had a restaurant booked in the village but we will be back and will book into the restaurant next time based on the breakfast. Thank you for a lovely experience.

For this price, definitely a good deal! You need a car to get there because it's a bit remote The rooms was nice and clean and seemed to be freshly renewed because the buildings look a bit old. The staff was friendly.

The Lexlip Manor Hotel and Courtyard suites have been top of my business stays for the past few months. As I travel daily on my business I found this hidden treasure on the doorstep of Dublin /Irelands Ancient East and almost at the gateway to the wonderful west. The palladian designed manor offers a warm welcome luxurious bedrooms and beautiful gardens. In addition an a number of my visits I was upgraded to beautiful suites. The staff are friendly and professional. The courtyard suites are really the icing on the cake hidden away from the manor house , lovely inviting comfortable cottage style suites are waiting to offer the guests a touch of home with high spec class. Easy to access just off the N4. Book direct with the Hotel for easy reservation process and competitive rates. Well done to all the team and thank you for the surprise upgrading.

My friends and I enjoyed afternoon tea recently in this beautiful hotel. The food was delicious and plentiful. Staff were very friendly and service prompt. The whole ambience was amazing, relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable. Bathroom and toilets were clean and tastefully decorated. Our day was amazing and will definitely be returning.
