Great value based on the price. The rooms are old and tired with some marks that look like mould and rust but might be mostly age related. The first room I was shown smelled like it had been locked up for ages. As I have allergies I asked to see another room and was taken to the. One across the road and down a lane off Gaelic lane. This was better for me. I felt safe (traveling alone) there was a guard at the top of the road that led to a courtyard so traffic was minimal. Breakfast was basic but fulfilling. What can you expect for the $50 a night I paid. If you’re on a budget it’s great but if you are a clean freak it might not suit. From what I could tell it was clean just didn’t look it due to age marks. Staff were friendly and helpful. Vocation amazing. Everything you need without about 200 metres, beach, day spas, restaurants, shopping

Staff are good but the room itself was in a very poor state and desperately in need of refurbishment. Furniture was old and fragile, TV was a tiny computer monitor, bathroom leaked, tiles were old and broken. Definitely not 4.5* or remotely close to the pictures on the website. It's cheap but the reason is obvious once you enter the room.

I didn’t have breakfast here, as there was a good all-you-can-eat buffet across the road at Rama. The staff were pleasant and welcoming. It’s an older resort. The weather wasn’t great for first 3 days…I didn’t realise there was live entertainment from 7:30pm every night, which made going to sleep before 10:30pm difficult. The price was very reasonable, and close to Garlic Lane, Y Bar etc. I would stay here again if I travelled with company. If the weather is sunny, the pool is lovely to swim in.

After MANY trips to Bali, this has to be the worst stay, sadly. The bed was just awful. You could feel EVERY spring in the mattress & I ended up with bruises from the metal pressing into me. I used the towels from the bathroom to try & pad it out a little. I got the room on sale, but I paid full price for this, it would have been even more annoying! The staff were not helpful when I mentioned this was supposed to be a 'deluxe' room. A shame, because the location is excellent, but would never stay here again because of the beds. Ironically, they'd spent money updating the wardrobe (which is probably why they tried to say it was a deluxe room) however, I'm pretty sure people would chose a comfy bed ahead of good storage space!

The window in the bathroom did not fit. So you hsve to keep the bathroom closed to keep thr mosquito's out of the bedroom. They were in the bathroom because of the window not fitting the frame There was an inch of a hole.

Do not reserve this place!!! Horrible! You don’t get the room you reserve. There is NO HOT WATER. Very noisy! Staff is mean and unresponsive. Hotel and rooms are very outdated. The only plus is hotel close by the beach.
