Well the place is decent, rooms ate clean, amenities are fine . But the buffet breakfast horrible . Especially when the hotel is full . We were there for the long week end of august and the place becomes a fish market with so many guests around and its really does not seem to be manageable by the hotel staff . Seeing the crowd we preferred inroom dining and that was fine. The hotel staff is nice and friendly . Lavasa as such does not have any thing to see . Its a small manmade private city with water sports, lakes and scenic beauty. Recommended only if you have anything else on your cards.
We were at Lavasa for a day trip and after seeing the place for around for 2 hrs it was time for lunch. When we are looking for dining options in the promenade non of the restaurants were of our taste. Then we went directly to check the buffet menu at Mercure. I was surprised to see the buffet spread which was a mix of Indian and continental and not to forget the well spread desert counter. You will get 2 sitting options. One inside the restaurant with various sitting options for a couple to a big family of 10 as per your requirement. Second one is alfresco area (Open area) covered from top. Overall its value for what you pay coupled with amazing ambiance and good service.
PROS Mercure Hotel Lavasa, situated at ten minutes walking distance from Waterfront Shaw Lavasa. It is one of the finest hotels in Lavasa. We checked into the hotel on 5th August 2017 and had booked our stay for 2 nights. We were allotted room no 405 on the 4th floor, which had one of the best views from the balcony. This superior room composed of moderate spaced area filled with an enclosed with a digital locker, a double bed, writing table, mini refrigerator, TV set fitted in a wall. It had a balcony cum sit out area separated from the room with a full length sliding glass door. The scenic view from the balcony was simply breath taking. We could see stream water running adjacent to the hotel which merges onto the waterfront shaw, the control water body at Lavasa. After the hustle bustle of city life, the steady sound of flowing water sounds melodious to the ears. There is a small lush green meadow at the back side of the hotel. The area is surrounded by green mountainous region which encompasses beautifully built identical architectural row houses. Lavasa is indeed a planned city with all the modern amenities. CONS It is often said first impression is the lasting impression. We had booked our stay at MERCURE Hotel Lavasa from5th August till 7th Aug. before embarking on our journey; we called Mercure Hotel Reception ain the evening on 4th August to confirm our booking. Prior to hearing our request the receptionist started informing us to ring up the next day for booking. When we stressed that our booking was already done and we just needed to confirm it, she reluctantly checked the reservation and gave us the confirmation. Being frequent travelers we have stayed at many hotels with the best of amenities. The tea/ coffee machine had a peculiar foul smell. Except charging points already in use for Hotel devices, none were working. Overall service was good as all the requests are immediately attended to.
Great location near by the attraction area... Beautiful ambience of the hotel..... Excellent services by the entire staff escpecially at the front desk.... U feel safe and secure with advanced and hospitable security system... Also breakfast spread is awsome and vast... I would suggest that hotel should also arrange specially dinner buffets.... Other wise every thing was perfect!!! Thank you very much for making our stay memorable.... Highly recommend this place....
We had a amazing stay in Mercure hotel. We went there for a day only and we had a blast. The hotel staff was very good and the services were excellent. The location was also great and not far from lake. The room were clean and spacious. Breakfast was also amazing. we will surely refer this hotel for stay.
On a family trip to Lavasa on 13th August, we were famished at around 2.30. While driving around found the Mercure and decided to try it out, and was glad that we did. The food was excellent, arrangements were superb and the staff went beyond their call of duty to accommodate us (almost all tables were reserved, as the hotel was sold out due to long weekends) . They arranged table specially for us at the open space out side the restaurant Celebration. The rain, the cloud and the chilling wind made us feel like royals. Thank you Mr Susanta Mitra (Executive Chef). The short sojourn was made so special by you and your team. Will remember the sweet gestures and would love to come back again, soon
We stayed in the hotel last week and the stay was pretty good. Rooms are clean, breakfast was good, staff was courteous. Even the view of Lavasa is beautiful from the hotel. Overall, we enjoyed at the hotel.
We had been to Mercure Lavasa over last weekend. It was our first time there and we selected the place based on reviews and location. It met our expectations. Rooms are reasonable in size. However they don't have sofa cum bed to accommodate kids. Even though we asked for room with a view in their online check in and also at the hotel we got a room that faced the parking. Location is also good. Walkable to the promenade. We spent a lot of time there Food was good. We ordered room service. The food came as we requested and in time which was great. The team doing this deserves special credit. They do have a buffet spread which seemed good. Couple of things that can be done better 1. It took the hotel 45 minutes to send drinking water to the room. It was a pure coordination issue and can be improved 2. When we walked in for breakfast the whole place was full. The seating is pretty large but we were asked to wait for 20 minutes. The food was also. Not great. Need some crowd management Overall a good first experience. We will come back.
The stay was really nice. The views from the rooms are very beautiful. The prices are on the higher side. The rooms are comfortable and the staff are welcoming . Food is good but doesn't have a lot o variety.
The reason I've given 3 stars is purely because I love the location. My experience this time wasn't the best. FOOD: We've got one more day to spend here and are desperately looking for options on zomato. While I loved the Bengal Fish Curry, I was disappointed with everything else. Specially the desserts. Never thought any hotel could get Gajar Halwa wrong but u managed to. The breakfast buffet was ruined by the wattery egg scramble and tasteless sausages. MANAGEMENT: I dont know what you mean when you say "Tell us if you need anything," because u surely cant do what I need even if its something very simple. All I asked during dinner was that you shift us to another table or please ask the kids to stop causing the chaos they were causing. You did neither because well you thought we are going to get done with our dinner anyway so why bother, right? I was also really disappointed that kids were putting their hands in all the food containers. It was disgusting to eat from the same. We are here for one more day and I just wish we leave happy. Paying so much for something and getting a bad service is going to make us choose a different hotel the next time.
