At the time I am staying here, the ownership has recently changed. This is a sweet little retro motel in a great location, the staff is caring and warm. No fridge, microwave, or coffee maker but McD's and Subway and an awesome pizza shop are nearby. I'm quite satisfied and I'd much rather stay here than a fancy overpriced casino/hotel. :-) It is right near the airport so one can obviously hear the air traffic. My room is cozy and comfortable and I feel safe.

Motels of this quality should not be on Trip Advisor except with a warning not to go there. This place looks like it rents by the hour or that drug addicts or the homeless live there. There is no office; you "register" in the convenience store next to the palm reader. The area is sketchy, the people are sketchy, and it was so frightening at 11pm that I wouldn't even get out of the taxi. The town was sold out under $600/night or I wouldn't have considered it, but I thought it was like a Motel 6, and the rate that night was about $200, so I thought I could do that for one night. But I couldn't. It really is so disreputable and scary that women, especially, should be warned against going there. And there are a number of storage sheds like you might buy at Home Depot for your backyard, but they have a door and window, so I wonder if they put some guests in those? !! It was dirty, scary, totally awful. It doesn't look anything list the picture or listing. In my case, Hilton took care of me and gave me a nice room at Tropicana instead. Yes, people have different tastes, but nothing this scary or dangerous should be on the site except as a Stay Away warning.

I booked this place through for a family of 5 adults but I must say itvwas the worst hotel I have ever stayed. The room has a weird smell with no proper air conditioning . Bathroom was horrible!!! I have never seen such a stinky smelly bathroom!! Never ever going back there !

The motel 8 in Las Vegas in charming in a way yet not a motel I would return to. The room seemed clean but unfortunately there was a weird smell in the room. Door seems quite unsafe. And it's not exactly cheap. If you're booking a few weeks in advance you can easily get one of the nicer hotels at the same price. Unfortunately we were booking last minute and this was the cheapest option. On the plus side the location is great. And the little swimming pool is good for cooling off.

You get what you pay for! I stayed on Las Vegas BLVD..super 8 the bed felt like I was sleeping on a box spring with a board. You check in at a store.I asked for fresh towels the house keeper asked for the old towels first lol. The toilet was clogged they sent a guy with a plunger. This place is horrible the owner needs to upgrade and do better for $100.00. Lastly there was a ROACH in the room 😦

As a group of five college students this place was great for us! The room was a little hot, the carpet a little dirty and there were no amenities like fridge or coffee but for the price we paid this was definitely worth it! The beds were comfy and the bathroom was clean aside from one cockroach scurrying in. Perfect location, right on the south end of the Strip, we were able to just walk up and down the Strip all day and night easily. Surprisingly great stay for what we had expected from a very cheap motel!

Everytime we walked in the room without shoes our feet were black. Would be quite pleasant with a good clean! People at reception not very helpful, had to pay a $5 deposit for the TV remote! ridiculous. I don't know what kind of clientele you get here but we were clearly in the wrong place

I really hate writing reviews but I feel people need to be aware of this place... this is a 1Qbed non-smoking, ½ handicap room for a single person that cost me $112.00 - its directly across from Mandalay bay casino/hotel so I thought it must be a fairly nice place...WRONG! At first sight.... "Oh, My", we pulled into to place, and missed the office because its located inside a small convenient/liquor store where a couple of “locals” are “hanging” (get the picture), immediately, my friends said "we can’t leave you here!!" the room was $10 cheaper than" Motel 6" who have changes of hotels ALL around the world and one of those said "MOTEL 6's" just happens to be located less than a mile around the corner, but being the average "Joetta" I let the money guide my decision. now, I have a fairly cute little room, w/a so-so comfy bed, AC that works, NO telephone, but no problem, cause like the entire breathing population of our Earth in the 21st century, I have my cell phone, we have a bathroom w/handicap shower (which I had requested- so thank-you for that), the TV has cox cable service but its "stuck" on 1 channel (LV PBS station), the off/on/volume, mute and power buttons work on the remote and that's it. then, I find out the captions wouldn't come on and I’m fairly hard of hearing- so I wasn't very pleased about this, either! I’m sitting there staring a television screen missing at least every other word being said on a program I didn't want to watch in the first place! the motel does have free internet so I thought, hey, I have my laptop I’ll connect to my home DVR only to find that I could logon to my account but the little wheel kept spinning and spinning and the programs would never load, so that knocked out my second option for entertainment tonight. then, "ah, amazon fire!" so I got out my trusty little tablet and I was able to logon to amazon and buzz around on there for a bit, but AGAIN, for whatever reason amazon/prime videos wouldn’t initiate!! I'm getting very close to the end of my last nerve here, right, then I remembered Pandora which is installed on all 3 devices (laptop, tablet and phone) and works everywhere, right? everywhere EXCEPT at " Motel 8 from Hell"! damn it ... Pandora couldn't hold a solid signal long enough to finish ONE SONG!! OK, I have truly had it w/this place so I decided to search the internet to waste time until I get sleepy enough to fall-off ... you'll never guess which site I landed on (:”:) Soooo, here I am … absolutely NOTHING to do, in the middle of the night, in a completely silent room, in a somewhat seedy motel across the street from an excellent resort, sandwiched between 2 very looking nice casino/hotels and shops, where my room is attached to a 24hr (its Vegas, of course it’s 24hr) convenient/LIQOUR store, 1/2 mile away from a beautiful "motel 6" where I could be, RIGHT NOW, for that lousy $10 dollars I had to save, but instead I'm HERE … I’m here, writing a CRAPPY review about a CRAPPY motel at the end of a very long and (you guessed it!) CRAPPY day!! Oh... please, don’t let me forgot to “thank” that totally uninterested/unresponsive and maybe even undocumented girl at the cash register in place of a front desk … I wouldn’t want her to feel that her attitude or unhelpfulness had anything to do with my completely silent and unpleasant, CRAPPY night at “Motel 8 – straight from HELL”!! my title read "the best thing i can say is the ac worked :(" but you know, sometimes its just not good enough to be cool... even in the desert. I sure hope the Las Vegas slogan is true.... ” What Happens in Vegas, Stays in Vegas!” cause I sure as hell don't want this CRAPPY experience to follow me home tomorrow! Well, thank-you all for reading my rant, where’s wishing you a better experience. jls

Excellent location Fast and friendly service Free parking The carpet is not cleaned for a long time TV is very small and old Charge another $ 10 remote and room key ... return the money after leaving cheap price Excellent Internet

the place smelled like a cheap hooker. Not only that, but we landed at 1230 am and the booking only let us book for that day, not the previous 11:59 pm day. So when we get to the motel, they tell us that our booking is not until that day at 11 am. We explained that the booking only allowed us to book it that day since it was already 12:30am new day. They made us purchase another night, and no matter how much we begged to get the other day refunded, they simply said, no refunds. Good thing I called my bank and they declined the transaction. Overall, the place just sucks.
