We stayed one week at the blue sea Costa, booked a one bed apartment, we got at first an apartment right beside reception office, which wasn't great at all, it was ground floor, terrace facing reception an all the teenagers hanging around the front on the free reception WiFi, the apartment itself had no air-conditioning, not even a fan, this made it very stuffy an hot, beds were uncomfortable ,no hair dryer or even kettle, you can hire these but why should you ! In need badly of paint, new bar stools, kitchen , an other furniture. We had managed to get an upgrade to a superior apartment over looking pool & sea view, these apartments are much nicer , far better taken care of, but still no fan, I don't like leaving Windows open of a night time , I keep them locked, but by doing this made the rooms very stuffy, not great for sleeping when I wouldn't be used to humid heat. The pools were lovely, cleaned regularly, get up early if you want a sunbed. We booked all-inclusive , which was wasted on me, I didn't particularly like very much of the food, apart from breakfast, my husband however thought food was good most of the time. breakfast was your typical eggs, bacon, sausages, beans, cereal, ham, cheese , yoghurts, fruit etc Lunch an dinner were basically the same every day, we ended up eating out a few times. An food in all-inclusive can only be gotten during breakfast hours 8-10, lunch & dinner 7-9, kids cannot get ice cream after these hours, unless they buy the brand ones for 2e, there is no poolside cafe, just the bar, giving small drinks in plastic cups, personally I hate drinking from a plastic cup, I've paid all-inclusive so please give me an adult glass!! 11pm bar is completely closed, no music, no life after 11. Entertainment was bingo every night, got very boring, not the ladies fault who was doing it, just hotel should mix it up. Again we left hotel most nights. In the photographs of this hotel you will see a lovely area with nice wicker furniture, nice glass frame front, an beds to sunbath, you CANNOT enter here!! Reserved for a German tour operator, you can book through them an get superior rooms an access to this area, I would of done this if I'd known, but hotel should not advertised something they CANNOT give you. There is a very much smaller, run down area , they say is the same, it's not, you can go there , we walked over once . Staff were friendly, can't ever say they were rude in anyway, they do try to accommodate your needs. Hotel owner really realllly needs to fix up some problems in this hotel, maybe then it would be better. Get the painter to correctly paint rooms maybe a start, then fix up the area you do allow your guests to sit at. Add fans to rooms, at very least superior ones! The location is perfect, you have small beaches at back of hotel, an shops, restaurants, bars all in front an heading to main beach, main beach was amazing, it's 10mins walking distance at most, supermarkets are open til 10, some 11, they have water, alcohol etc, stuff you may need for your apartment. The apartments are cleaned every 2days.
I Wasn't expecting too much for the price , however I did expect the bare basics, sadly these were not provided. The fact that you have to wait until 4 o'clock in the afternoon to get into your room was bad enough, however the fact that our first room was not ready until 4.45 and then our second room until 5.15 was a disgrace. We had 4 young children with us who had been up since 2 o'clock that morning, however the young female on reception seemed more interested having a laughter filled conversation on the telephone than dealing with the now long line of customers waiting at the desk. I have never dealt with such an ignorant & rude person in the hospitality industry in my life. Add to this the fact that the room cleaning was at best very poor & we only had one towel change in the week, that was after we chased this up with the cleaning staff. The bed settee was falling apart & when a sheet change was due the sheets were simply left in the rooms for you to do yourself. Also if you have a family the entertainment is almost none existent, so each night we were either early to bed or had to venture out. The Hotel requires a major revamp as most of it is in a poor state of repair, a pity really as its location is brilliant. Paul.C
We had a good holiday here with our daughter and in laws. We asked for apartments next door to one another which we got. our apartment was basic but nice and clean. We got sun beds around the pool each day without to much hassle. The showers wasn't alway hot but we managed. Staff were friendly and the food was nice and there was a variety, sometimes repetitive but we always found something to eat.
lets start with bad reviews don't read them the place is ok just a lick ov paint would help in a great place just 2 mins from the centre the room was clean enough well u only sleep in it the food was ok breakfast and lunch seem to be the best meal times but u will not starve ok one day the food was cold but eatable the staff where brilliant reception was super and the bar staff really work hard and even have time to learn me spanish go out the back gate your right near the see the only thing i would gripe about is the checkout time 11:30 but check in is 4:00 so check out should be the same and there was no entertainment but plenty ov places to go in town and it's pretty cheap we went out every night and did'nt spend 40 euros a night overall i would go back here has it is a great base to go anywhere from and the pools where very good once again thanks to everybody involved with blue sea costa teguise beach
Sadly I failed to read reviews before booking this holiday... I appreciate this is a 2 star hotel however this shouldnt be a reason for alot of the issues here. Arrived at 12pm, couldn't access the room until after 4pm. Food is worst I have ever come across we paid to upgrade our booking to all inclusive which was pointless had one breakfast and one lunch out of a week stay it's poor beyond belief.. along with having to queue to access the restaurant on both occasions due to it not being big enough to accommodate most of its guests. There is only one bar open in peak season with one barmaid which has to go between the restaurant and bar which mean more long queues for a drink!! Rooms are basic, everything is extra charges tv, hairdryer, wifi even, bar snacks like crisps even down to a kettle! They are not particularly clean which after everything else I gave up complaining about, no cleaners appeared during our stay which resulted in dirty towels and bedding. All I will say is that is positive is that the location is fantastic and the local restaurants are good quality and value for money.
First I want to point out that this is a two star hotel, so don't come expecting 4 star amenities. Saying that, my boyfriend and I had an absolutely amazing time and I don't regret the hotel choice at all. The location was absolutely amazing and I genuinely don't see how anyone could complain. On arrival, we were welcomed by a friendly member of staff on reception who was making an effort to speak to us, something that I rate quite highly. We were given our all inclusive bands and everything was explained to us. The all inclusive bands work from 10am-10pm, which I see as completely reasonable - I couldn't expect for anything more. We were then given keys and we went to find our room. The complex is small but it doesn't feel small, we went at the beginning of August and nothing was overly cramped and there was always plenty of space by the pools. Our room was amazing, we were lucky enough to get a room with a sea view and a pool view. I have been to many hotels in my lifetime however I can say that this room has been one of the nicest rooms I've been in. The room itself is very basic (what else can you expect) but if you're anything like us and only stay in the room to sleep I don't see what else you would need. There isn't any air conditioning, but I don't find that a negative as my flat in Newcastle was hotter than this room. The room was a comfortable temperature to sleep in. You have to pay extra for TV but to be honest we didn't go on holiday to watch TV and there was no point in the holiday where we ever felt bored. The food in the all inclusive was exactly what you'd expect, typical british tourism hotel food, but it was ok. However Costa Teguise is cheap enough to eat out and we got our money's worth with our drinks. The bar staff didn't mess about with the cocktails and they were stronger than any cocktail I've ever had in England. The only downside was that they come in tiny plastic cups so we had to walk to the bar more often. But again that isn't a complaint, we needed the exercise anyway after the days of constant drinking. As a couple who wanted to get away to the sun and sea, it was honestly perfect. There aren't many families with little kids at the pool unlike most resorts, which means there isn't much entertainment for the children however it does mean that it's nice as a couple get away. The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly - my boyfriend got a bottle of bubbly for his birthday (we hadn't let the staff know, but it arrived on his birthday at our hotel room anyway), the drinks were strong and the location was more than ideal. TLDR: Don't listen to the miserable people who complain, some people just get a kick out of it.
Week away with my daughter.. No problem getting a sunbed, lovely big room and very clean. Friendly staff and reception helpful. All Inclusive meals ok and enough choice unless you really fussy. As restaurant prices in resort so cheap we chose to eat out in the evening, but breakfast and lunch in hotel were more than adequate. Dont expect to pay 2 star prices and receive 4 star cuisine!! Would definitely go back.. Great location
Landed here at 8 innevening was given a dingy dirty dungeon with live wires coming out of the wall.Complained immediately got an upgrade for 70 euros room with a view of sea bit better.I was all inc but food was terrible .Dont waste your money .Staff are hard worjing and room was cleaned every other day . PLEASE DONT STAY HERE BE WARN . EVERTHING YOU HAVE TO PAY EXTRA FOR . TV HAIRDRYER WIRELESS IN ROOM KETTLE SUNBED MATTRESS
staff are very rude to you not only with us but with quite a few others guest's so if your thinking of complaining when you are there i wouldn't bother you are not promised the room you book either again witnessed this on quite a few occasions. The apartment we had was very basic includes free ants on the kitchen worktops broken sofas beds not comfortable.if your going with kids again i would not dare to the entertainment well lets just say it's zero the club on the complex is closed all summer only opened winter time so you are stuck by the pool bar all night which on an evening can be quite nippy and closes at 10pm on the dot. FOOD was horrible and behind the food counter is a death trap with wires hanging and trailing over the floors made me cringe accident waiting to happen also if you are wanting to take a piece of fruit out be prepared to be told off that is a no no to sum the all holiday up well put it this way i was glad to get on the plane home i was not expecting 5 star luxury and was quite aware it was a 2 star how they manage a to get two stars amazes me Lanzarote is a beautiful island and the only thing going for this complex was the location with stunning views we decided to go out most days/nights wish i would have read the reviews on this place before booking disappointing!!!!! and one last thing where it is advertised on there pictures you can chill with a drink with sea views on nice seating areas well you can't it is only for the Germans we got told off one of the bar staff so enjoy your plastic chairs
I was not expecting the ritz so I suppose I got what I expected and what I paid for. The apartments could do with of a facelift. We went self catering so we had to hire a kettle and toaster €10 each for the 12 nights, we also had to pay €28 for the TV for 10 nights. Our two bed apartment was at the back of the hotel so our room was behind some bars, we asked to be moved to the quieter part of the hotel which has the sea views but apparently that section only had one bed apartments. So we stayed where we were and just bought ear plugs from the chemist near the hotel! Apartment was cleaned every 2 days and sheets were changed every 4 days. I would stay there again mainly for the location and I would go self catering again as there is so many other nice places to eat around the hotel. I spoke to a few others staying there and they were eating out most nights even though they were all inclusive, so maybe that was reflection of the quality of the food on offer
