Stayed 3 nights last week in this stunning isolated location. Hotel lovely but showing its age and needs renovation in my view. Staff great, food and drinks good, enjoyed beach restaurant the best. This hotel is very isolated and you need to be aware of that, Real plus point is the beach/Bay Area really is lovely. Would I stay here again probably not, stayed in much better luxury hotels, to be honest this hotel is not luxury but it’s all about the location. One small tip from airport use fixed price coupon taxis and book your return through them also.
This place is as it seems from the brochure. Pristine beach, beautiful setting and pool area. Everyone is saying this so some different things: 1. Kids club - very nice and free for ages 4-12. My son loved it and kept begging to go back there and play. It is very clean and the ladies running are friendly. All the toys were new and well kept. They have excursions on the property to see fish, butterflies etc. 2. Coffee - you can get free coffee in the business centre ☕️!! Food was actually reasonable for a resort - we ate at the beach cafes - kids meals were a good size for 30 ringgit and adults ranged from 40-60. A bit limited selection there but ok just for something basic. I would definitely stay here again and recommend.
The best holiday for my mum and kids. We came back relaxed rejuvenated and refreshed. Nature was right at our doorstep - owls, hornbills, monkeys, flying lemurs, geckos....kids were thrilled. I'm already planning my next trip.
This is an amazing hotel! It has something for everyone, whether it be a lounger to sit and relax on the beach or by the pool, or equipment to cater for the more active - like paddle boards and snorkeling equipment. The food was brilliant, especially the breakfasts.
My brother had his wedding at the Andaman and it was one of the best weddings I have attended. The setting was amazing and the resort has fantastic amenities. When it came time for another quick getaway from Australia this year, my first choice was to come back. This time I came during the wet season and although a bit of rain fell, the days were still clear and the weather amazing to be able to do a range of things at the resort and in Langkawi in general. Next year we will be back there for my fathers 60th and will have all the family once again. I’m excited for this trip and will continue to visit this beautiful place. The staff are fantastic and the food is great, the pool and beach are clean and great to swim in. There’s bikes for hire, cars to rent and drive into and around Cenang, kayaking, lots of bars to relax and unwind in. I highly recommend The Andaman.
This is my #1 hotel/resort in the world. Kid not on the seriousness of what this establishment have that would be the greatest experience received in your lifetime. So good that I go back every year and sometimes even 3. I have stayed in all rooms available and I have to say, all of it were exquisite. The best being the pool suite of course. You have the entire yard to yourself, and you will just need 20 steps to reach the beach. The beach, its spectacular tranquil view of the Andaman sea where you can spend your entire day just lazing on the decks or squeeze in a yoga or two. The service provided here is top-notched world class. What beckons me time and again to go back here is honestly the service. Never have I thought that while lazing on the beach absorbing Vitamin D would see someone be armed with cucumber slices, cucumber spray, ice cream, ice water etc. I am crazily blown away by the service here that I never needed to worry about getting sun-burnt because the service staffs here would cool you down and tend to your every needs (even before it becomes a need). The breakfast table here is where the liveliness is. Fresh pastries, quality food, the list just goes on and on with its perfection. The nature tour is recommended as the guides really talk the group through the history of the hotel being built around a 10 million years old rainforest and all the secret spots where all the wildlife hides. This hotel conserves and protects the rainforest and its wildlife and everyone in the resort lives harmoniously. Warning though: Please always remember to close and lock your windows/doors because the macaques are too smart and will wreck through the complimentary fruit plate and the mini-bar for food (if this happens, stay calm; they are harmless and make a call to the front desk). Happened to me a few times and it is just interesting to see how these macaques garner the strength to open full panel doors and remember to close the door while escaping from the hotel security.
What an amazing hotel. We arrived and were checked in, however they dont really give you any special care for being a platinum SPG or marriott member, however luckily Mr Tasriff Mokhtar intervened. He upgraded us to a lovely room right in front of the beach. The restaurants, pool and beach were wonderful. The concierge were amazing, I needed to pray for Hari Raya/ Eid and they organised it for me. Its a great hotel to come and relax at, you dont need to do or go anywhere. It feels private, yet you have other guests staying here. We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning again. Be careful with the monkeys, we had a whole family in our terrace one afternoon, although the kids enjoyed that!
My husband and I have just enjoyed our wonderful honeymoon staying at The Andaman Resort. I couldn't wait to get home and write a review about the place. I could not fault it! The place is absolutely amazing! Very clean, service was great. The only small issue we encountered was the battery in our door lock was running dead so our cards for the room would continually not work, however once it was attained that it was in fact the battery lock, it was quickly fixed. The staff were very attentive to our needs and even just walking through the complex everyone was polite and would greet you. When there was bad weather (rain) the staff were quick to act, and bring in chairs, covers etc. The Coral Nursery was amazing and such a great incentive and idea! Well done Andaman for giving back to the environment and local community. Keep up the hard work with the nursery and rebuilding the coral reef. The Vitality Spa was incredible!! The setting and ambiance was unbelievable. Beautiful massage and own spa afterwards. Absolute Bliss! I can see why that spa has won so many awards! My only like criticism I had, (& its purely a suggestion) but to have towel animals placed in the rooms each night while guests are out dining. It would be such a treat to come back to after dinner not to mention its a hit for the kids, and the big kids at heart. Thank you again The Andaman for your hospitality and making us feel so welcome. We'll be back!
We stayed in room 115 which had a swim up pool, this was excellent despite the cheeky monkeys lol. The Resort staff were amazing, service was at the highest level, we were lucky with the weather as it was beautiful every day. A special mention must go to the young couple who look after the Coral reserve. Nothing was too much trouble they spent hours explaining and showing us around looking at wildlife and especially the corals. We met and chatted with most of the Hotel Managers who were so helpful and pleasant and went out of their way to ensure we were having a great experience. The food was excellent throughout all of the restaurant's especially the breakfast. The beach was kept pristine, if debris came in on the tide it was cleaned up very quickly daily. The evening entertainment were a group who were again excellent and so friendly. We have travelled the world and would have to say this Hotel would rank up there with the best based on superb service and the beautiful Datai Bay.
In addition to the scenic location, the warm hospitality of the employees, snorkelling experience in the corals conservatory, morning walk in the jungle and the fact that we are just a WhatsApp away from the hotel on an ask-anything basis have made my stay with family and friends a really memorable one. Would love to come here again!
