I was there 16th June for overnights that stay with my son. Lovely hotel very clean and very friendly staff. We parked outside then advised and shown where to park my car. A lady was waiting in car park to direct us to our parking spot. Lift to all rooms. The room was small and basic but very clean and comfortable bed. My only whim was the bathroom very tiny with shower and toilet hardly any room to move in there. But apart from that we had a great stay. Even next day the receptionist said when we checked out, that if we were not going straight home we could leave car in car park so we could spend more time in blackpool if we wanted. Lovely guesture. The breakfast was great and you were attended to straight away by very happy smiling staff. I recommend this hotel
Breakfast was good large group of us too, nice area at the front for drinks as it was warm enough. Large leak in reception which had been noticed as someone put a bucket under it. Rooms aren't clean but apparently this is same as everywhere in Blackpool rooms are an OK size. Staff 5 star!
Booked this hotel for a one night stay with my partner. Photos looked good on the website and we payed £70 for bed and breakfast so i expected more than we got as it wasn't cheap. Checked in and went up to the room...my my my i could have cried it was poky it was old and it was not clean. There was a line of green damp on the wall next to the bed the tray with cups on for tea and coffee was dirty the vase in the window hadn't seen a cloth for years. The bed was against the wall so could only get in one side the curtains were hanging off the bathroom was awful there was holes in the plaster on the walls i mean i could go on! This hotel is in desperate need of a makeover. I will not stay there ever again.
We visit this hotel twice a year for several years the staff are generally always the same which is always good to see in the hospitality sector ... they cannot help you enough the rooms are clean (not always massive ) but that is luck of the draw brekko is spot on . It really is our Blackpool home . Best thing for me tho is one of the guys who works at night Kyle I love to say hello when we are there and he fills me in on antics the next day he will bend backwards for you if you need anything .... by far the best hotel In Blackpool 😘😘
The Lawton has a great location just a few minutes walk from the Tower. The welcome was warm and the bar and reception area really nice and clean. There is a lift to rooms if needed. Rooms were spacious and the bed had lovely clean bed linen and was very comfortable. The bathroom and a few bits in the room needed updating but thus us the case with every hotel under £100 in Blackpool and they'd hot the important bits right. Gorgeous and massive breakfast. Very friendly staff.
Very easy to find with it's striking green colour! Staff were all very friendly and helpful and the hotel itself is nice and clean. Definitely one of the nicer places we've stayed in in Blackpool no real drawbacks. The bedroom wasn't huge but it was acceptable for a one night stay. The bed itself was very comfortable and all the bed linen looked spotless. We had a really nice breakfast the next day and again, the staff were absolutely great. We'd definitely stay here again next time we're in Blackpool.
Stayed here with a friend for a stag do. Decided to pay a bit more to get something decent and looking at the pictures it seemed you could get a nice standard room at this hotel for £65 but unfortunately it's not the case. I think some of the £40 rooms available at other hotels could have been equal standard. Unfortunately we missed breakfast as it is only served until 9.30 which is quite early on a Sunday morning when not people staying there have been on a night out and will want a bit of a lie in. On the plus side the parking is quite good, just up the road outside another property belonging to the hotel owner. I think they need to either refurbish the rooms or make the pictures on the website a bit more honest so you know what to expect.
I must start by saying myself and my boyfriend absolutely love blackpool and we know it has a reputation for groups and we love blackpool for what it is but this hotel needs to decide which side of the market it wants. We stayed for two nights Friday/Sat, check in good parking fine and all the staff were lovely and the bar area is excellent with a lovely pint of peroni. However the range of guests is too varied this either needs to be a couples/family hotel or a groups hotel and not both. We had room 108 just at the top of the stairs on the landing on the Friday night it was ok we could hear people arriving in after a night out but it was ok but the noise and carry on on the Saturday night was horrendous as all the groups seemed to arrive on the saturday. Had we been able to get in our car and drive away we would have but having had a couple of drinks we couldn't. Now don't get me wrong I am 36 and love a drink with the best of them but the gangs arriving home during the night and then proceeding to run riot in the corridors for two and a half hours is unacceptable how the racket could not be heard by reception is beyond me. Yes we may have been unlucky and had the room next to some young lads whose friends in other rooms all wanted to carry on on our landing and try to get in their room but surely groups should be separated from couples and families. There was a lot of children and babies in this hotel and this level of disturbance is unacceptable. We tried to ride it out but then one of the lads was shouting that he was going to set the fire alarms off and because we knew their was families and children staying we thought enough is enough, my partner told the lads twice to shut up and go to bed to no avail so we did complain at reception and in fairness the owner did come up and tell them they would be evicted but it was too little too late and I cannot believe that it took two and a half hours and a complaint for this to be sorted. This all started and 2.30 in the morning and ended at just after 5am. The hotel cannot be held responsible for guests actions I understand that but had I known this was a groups hotel I never would have booked it. If I came to blackpool with the girls for a hen doo then yes this is perfect but I would not return with my partner or family
Transfer to this hotel last minute after leaving both the norbreck castle and metropole due to major issues with both the hotels and staff When arrived at Lawton soon as pulled up could see this was cared for hotel, it was clean well maintained Very friendly staff on reception who offered us chance to view the room Room was well proportioned in excellent condition the bed was extremely comfortable Breakfast was included and excellent selection and quality Bar area is nice and not over priced The main thing here is it's staff everyone was so welcoming and friendly and couldn't do enough for you, location wise 2 minute walks to sea front. Would highly recommend this hotel everything was spot on and would stay here again Thank you to everyone at Lawton fir turning what started off as nightmare break (thanks to norbreck castle and metropole )into nice break
Good location for centre of Blackpool, lobby and bar area is good, plenty of room. Though constantly too warm, as is the restaurant. The staff makes this hotel what it is, every member is proficient and friendly, which makes a world of difference. The rooms are fair, bit cramped, but bedding is clean. The bathroom was small and the shower cubicle needs attention, my tip for the cleaner is too stand in shower and clean from there!
