Recent guest reviews

No refrigerator, no microwave, water dripping from ceiling. In room.

Refused to stay on property. First room was filled with bugs. Second room had less bugs but many in the curtain. I understand the area was having an outbreak but it was unacceptable in both rooms. Front desk staff was nice about the situation and honored the request to cancel the booking. Will not recommend at all.

Nice place to stay for the money , close to Legoland

Yes it's an older motel, but it's kept up nicely. the staff was really really friendly (I mean everyone from the front desk people to the cleaning staff and the restaurant employees too). The Location is a real winner with it being so close to Legoland. Also that included breakfast is really amazing (it's a REAL breakfast !). It saved my family time and money everyday we were there. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. Overall I'd say it's a bit of a dated older motel, but for the price, you'll never find a better value anywhere. We enjoyed our stay and will plan on using this motel again on return visits !

It’s a dump. After spending a evening I smell like an ashtray and I don’t smoke. There was a smooshed roach on the floor. Worst place I’ve been in a long time.

**Previous reviews almost deterred us from staying! Very glad we didn't listen and stayed!** We booked this hotel because our trip was based around going to Legoland. Legoland is literally right behind it. If staying on backside of hotel you can see the tops of some rides. We walked to Legoland took us under 10 minutes. Hotel is in a safe and quiet area. The hustle and bustle per say like Orlando is way off from this location. It seemed the whole area closed at 9. The staff and security guard were extremely friendly and professional. The price was excellent for what we received and what we stayed for. Could the hotel use some upgrades, yes. If the price per night was high I would expect it. We payed 58.00 a night. Far far less than any other hotel close to the area we looked for. This was our first time to Legoland and this particular hotel was an excellent choice for us. Note also we rarely stay in hotels as we usually rent private homes on our out of town vacations. If you're going to Legoland and want the closeness to the park but do not want the price tag or crowd stay here.

WHEN I GOT THERE THE RESERVATION RATE WAS NOT HONORED AND I HAD TO PAY AN ADDITIONAL FEE. THE ELEVATOR BY MY ROOM WAS BROKEN SO I HAD TO CLIMB 3 FLIGHTS OF STAIRS , WHICH THE STAIRS ARE RUSTED AND BROKEN AND VERY SCARE TO CLIMB ESPECIALLY IN THE RAIN ON ONE DAY. OUR ROOM ONLY HAD 2 WORKING OUTLETS. THE TV REMOTE ONLY WORKED IF YOU PUT IN THE CHANNEL YOU COULD NOT SURF TO FIND SOMETHING. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE UNLESS THERE IS NOTHING ELSE AVAILABLE IN THE AREA. YES IT IS CONVENIENT FOR LEGOLAND BUT NOT WORTH IT

Vomit on room chair. Hair in shower. Trash not empty. Didn’t get clean towels. Complained 7 times between the 3 rooms we had. Leaking faucet (bad).

There was a fresh butt stain on the sheets from a previous guest, holes in the curtains from moths or something and the shower curtain was broken. We love to go on trips and most hotels are ok, but this one has been the worst so far. Also they charge a $30 a night pet fee that we couldn’t find any mention of on their website or orbitz. We told the manager and they insisted we still pay. Considering we arrived at the hotel at 1am we didn’t really have the option to go anywhere else.

From the look of the lobby and the friendly personality of the front desk clerk and security guard I thought I was at a pretty decent place. Wrong!! Heat didn’t work. Bugs in the room. Water was barely lukewarm. If I planned on staying more than just a few hours I would have demanded a refund. I am not the complaining/nitpicking type but this hotel brought it out of me. I would never stay here again.

We checked in late after a full day at legoland. the lobby is beautiful, it gave off the feeling of great expectations for the rooms. Wrong. The rooms are super outdated and in need of some serious remodel. Im not a picky person when it comes to hotel cleanliness, but they need some help. The check in was easy, but they forgot to mention the breakfast needs a voucher in order to get a free meal. I paid full price, because no one told me at check in. Then i left my info with the front desk and I was told they would contact me about the breakfast issue, Never Heard form Them. It fit the purpose for the night. Would not stay extended amount of time.

Very dirty bathrooms. Out dated fixtures. Room over all was very dirty like the only thing cleaned and changed was the sheets.

The room was dirty when we arrived . There was dead roaches in the bathroom. The microwave didn't work and the only way to turn off the tv was to unplug it, otherwise it would stay on. Only good thing about the hotel is it was walking distance to legoland. The pool was dirty as well. Horrible hotel!

Miserable stay. AC barely dehumidified air. Shower rod broken allowing water to spill on floor. Never replenished in-room cups and coffee. Bedding barely stayed in place on bed. Floors felt very dirty. Critters in bathroom. Tub is elevated 6"-8" above level of floor making it very uncomfortable exiting the tub - not recommended for short, or older, or peoplr unsteady on their legs. Need I say more? It needs to be completely renovated.

Check-in was easy and we were given a description about the layout of the building and where to park, etc. First the key did not open the door - there was a trick that another guest had to show me just to enter the hotel. Then a big inconvenience was the elevator was out of service. Next, there was hoodlums just hanging around outside their rooms and that made us feel uncomfortable. The room and beds were comfortable and just what we needed. The shower handle was stuck and extra force was needed to turn it on. My wife could not turn it on.

FIND ANOTHER HOTEL. No other way to explain. Ceiling falling, bed not made, old wash cloth still in shower, chain broken on front door, lights flickered and more more more. DO NOT STAY HERE !!!!

We thought we found a gold mine. Right next to Lego land. I would suggest orbitz no longer advertising for this location. I don't even know where 2 start. The staff was great is all I can say. As for the room. Let's just say I wouldn't even allow my kids to shower there. If you can take anyone's advise please take this. This hotel doesn't even deserve explanation. NO IS ALL THERE IS TO SAY!!!!!@

Hate to say but we found a nice big bug waiting for us as we got up in the morning. Not fun trying to get rid of it before we took showers.

UNFIT FOR HUMAN HABITATION:- Regarding the Shergill Grand Hotel Conference Center Resort in Winter Haven Florida. The first room they gave us was not made up. We got another room, but soon found that the heating was not working on a cold January night. They provided a space heater which helped a little. Then my partner had a shower and found that the tub did not drain. So I could not have a shower at all. The lobby clerk was inexperienced and did not know that there was no repair tech onsite in the evenings...a lot of confusing conversations ensued. The handyman who came to bring us the space heater at first pretended he did not speak English and only spoke to my latina girl friend in Spanish. When I saw him later, he heard me complaining at the lobby in English and immediately came and joined the discussion, he spoke perfect English when it suited him ..... The TV housing was bizarre , dangerous, and too small for the TV set, and it tilted at an angle which made it difficult to watch .... and it was impossible to re-tilt the TV, I had to completely lift it up, remove it from the housing, then reorient it and put it back in the housing. I had to do this a couple of times as we moved from the couch to the bed. In the morning we used the microwave to heat some cereal, after 3 minutes, it tripped the circuit breakers in the basement, and most of the room was without electrical power.
