Xima is the old Eco Inn, similar to the one in Cusco - same type of room, furniture, amenities. But less maintained, worn out, like it has been host to the horde of huns. It is far from the center, so more quiet, and with 8-9 soles you can take a taxi. Breakfast was good, complementary water in the room, good wifi. The best thing is the window niche where you can relax. Warm enough in the night. The beds are very big, matrimonial is for 3 people. In the twin room I think you can have 4 people. But it really needs a lot of work because the small details are important - stains on the floors, doors, walls, chipped tiles in the bath and so on.

Clean, comfortable. Has a garden out back with llamas and alpacas. Be careful with them, one spit on me! The restaurant had good food. Hotel is located outside of town so it is very quiet. You would have to hire a taxi if you didn’t want to eat at the hotel.

The hotel is in a beautiful location overlooking lake Titicaca. Rooms are nice and quite big, it had a heater turned on when I arrived but I felt I did not need it. It can get cold during the night but it got hot in the daytime. There is oxigen available for those who need it. Because of the high altitude I used it to cure my headache, it worked. The restaurant is very good for breakfast. dinner was okay nothing to complain about. Employees are fantastic, always ready to help and doing it cheerfully. I would return to this hotel if I ever go back to this area.

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights in October, 2017. The room was quite large but the soundproofing wasn't great so you could hear people in the hallways. Breakfast was good. They have a nice fireplace (they light at 5PM each day) and alpacas in the yard behind the hotel. Internet was good. There is a small convenience store around the corner. This hotel is not located near the city centre though....we were there because we wanted to do something on Lake, if you wanted to go into town, it's about a 10 soles taxi ride.

This hotel is really good. It is not as grand a property as the other famous hotel down the way, but I'd rather stay here. The rooms were much larger and had wonderful lakeside views, with really cute window seats to read or go online from. The food in the restaurant was better than a number of the finer restaurants in town, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. They also include 10 minutes of oxygen brought to your room, which helped this visitor sleep much better the first night! Given the altitude of 3,850 meters, day one is a little tough, and that was a really nice touch! Finally, front desk organized my tours of the lake and region perfectly, with minimal fuss. Totally recommend them!

The hotel isn't plush, but is comfortable, with large rooms, and great views. Getting to some of the rooms can involve taking your luggage up steps, and a short walk - not normally something I'd worry about, but at altitude this was difficult for some people. Try and get a view of the lake, it's beautiful (we got to watch a huge electrical storm from our room, as well as the sunset/sunrise etc). We were not that blown away by the food, however, I think altitude might have altered our appetites anyway. There are places nearby offering alternatives, or get a taxi into town (10 mins away). Staff were all very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed being somewhere so quiet. We did hear the dogs at night, but didn't find it lasted long, and they didn't stop us sleeping.

Hi there all travellers , I'm writing my review only if I really can recommend a place . And this hotel is one of them . I've been staying most of the hotels in Puno. But I really like this one . Price is acceptable, restaurant is great and hotel staff are so helpful and kind. Especially I would like to mention "Glenn". He works behind the bar and also for serving . What a great guy with his respect to everyone and perfect work . We need people like him in this business . I'm sure he is loved by anyone else who is visiting this hotel . Also I couldn't remember the lady who works for serving too . She was there early morning again for to give us breakfast . And they even gave full buffet breakfast at 4 o'clock in the morning . I appreciated of all other services in the hotel . I would recommend all of you to stay here . Thanks !

We Stayed 2 nights at the hotel while travelling Peru.Food was good. Staff were excellent. We met a lovely lady named Flor in the restaurant who was very helpful and friendly. Would Most definitely stay here again.

Stayed two nights and felt the hotel deserved a good rather than a very good ranking. Not easy to accommodate on Trip Advisor's listing, hence the three score. This hotel has a couple of fundamental issues. Firstly ,the rooms , whilst a good size and well appointed, can be cold. The mobile radiator supplied is pretty useless, so remember to bring pyjamas! Second, if you're on the landward side, at night the neighbourhood dogs meet to serenade the moon. A bit of a pain. The layout of the hotel with long corridors has a slight institutional feel and increases the noise nuisance. Having made those negative points, there are compensating positives. The staff are great and go out of their way to make your stay a memorable one for all the right reasons. The food is reasonable and I certainly don't think you need to get a taxi to town to find better, unless you have prior knowledge of outstanding eateries. All in all, a safe choice which you shouldn't worry about if you're booked into on a tour- but there is scope for improvement which would be worthwhile.

I arrived there at 5am as my bus was hours to early. But the staff allowed to stay in the lobby and even offered to have breakfast, which was very tasteful. It didn't left any wishes. At 8am (4hrsbefore regular check in) I could get into my room. Rooms are clean, having all you need and as the heater was broken they changed it within a few minutes. You can take a hot bath or shower and sleep in pretty comfortable beds. For dinner I would recommend to go to any other place as it wasn't as good as the breakfast. Just stayed there one night, but it was the worth the money to recover from the last exhausting days.
