I travel a lot for business throughout California and Nevada and have stayed at many hotels. However, I have never encountered such a friendly and helpful staff; everyone seemed to be in a sincere, upbeat mood. One staff member in particular, Mac, was very kind and thoughtful, giving his advice and recommendations on things to do around Lake Tahoe once I was done with my business meetings. He allowed my wife and myself to really enjoy the trip. The room itself was clean and had lots of amenities. The only thing wrong was the fact there was no iron to press my clothes for my business meetings. However, once I informed the staff of this, they immediately got me one.
This place is AMAZING! Stayed here for several days in February 2017 and it was one of the best trips we have ever taken. The room was far beyond our expectations. The kitchen, baths, and bed were all spectacular! Their service staff at the front desk was also wonderful and super helpful and friendly.
Checked in Saturday a little early (3:00) Room was still being cleaned so I came back at 4:00. No problems after that. All employees were helpful and polite. Room was great. Though I was on the bottom floor, I didn't hear the neighbors above until about 8 each morning. Plenty of quiet time for restful sleep. Easy temp control. All appliances were clean and worked well. Location was right across from he access road to Heavenly California Lodge parking lot. Very close to Grocery stores and restaurants. Laundry room was excellent. Though construction was going on, was still able to use everything. Would definitely stay again without any hesitation. The lake's shoreline is right behind the complex. Winter trip so I took a few pictures of the shore with the mountains being it. Very pretty.
Amazing couples getaway to beautiful Heavely mountain. Great location and amenities. Everything you could need is just right up the street. Beautiful room and great staff are and service. Highly recommend if your looking for an escape from the real world or just to get away and reconnect with nature.
Resort is conveniently located. Rooms were clean and nicely decorated. I loved the large soaking tub with jets. I booked through RCI and you never quite know what your are going to get, but I was very pleasantly surprised. I used the Sauna and it was nice. Didn't get as hot as I would have liked. I also used the gym, it was clean and functional. Right next door we took a class at Paint and Sip. That was one fo the best experiences of my time in Tahoe. The beds were comfortable, I slept great! Location is right in the heart of SLT.
The location was chosen for its proximity to all the ski parks around lake Tahoe. I was surprised at the availability given the popularity of the area although we chose a week in January that did not include MLK Day. Reception and checking in was very polished and although we were too early to occupy our room we were offered another in order to change into ski gear and our luggage was safely stored in the \Manager's Office without prompting. There was an issue with the washing machine that did not accept my credit card and there were no dispensers seen for the washing powder or tablets. Many thanks for the random act of kindness from the lady folding her own laundry. Reception kindly pointed the launderette on the opposite side of the road offering a service wash. The room did not include an electric kettle although to be fair we did not chase one from reception. We Brits like a proper cup of tea and short of passing it through the coffee percolator or nuking a cup of water in the microwave, we can't get a decent cuppa. The lady receptionist kindly called the Ski Butlers that we were using to re-arrange a delivery time for our ski equipment.Overall, it did exactly what it says on the tin. Service and accommodation were good and location was excellent.
loved the 2 bathrooms & spiral staircase separating rooms. RCI disappoints once again with street side room vs. Mountain or Lake-view, again - no room upgrade for this Platinum member. CLEAN. Watch out for RCI $100 fee if less than 7 nights. 2 blocks from road access to Heavenly. I recomend South Tahoe Ski & Board Rentals ($20 ea!)
We stayed there in November. Trip was a mess from the moment we made a week reservation. We didn't get our week because they never saved our reservation. We got 3 nights and we have had to pay the rest of the trip out of pocket at a different Resort. They put us in a handicap room with dirty couches, the TV didn't work. Nothing was good about staying there. I can't say I liked one single thing about it. Other resorts in the area looked amazing. My recommendation is stay at montbleu hotel and casino..that was great
I did not have the best impression of this resort when we first arrived but it got better throughout the week. The kitchen area was much smaller than anticipated. We had a two bedroom and I knew that we wouldn’t have a stovetop or oven, but even the kitchen area was so tiny that it didn’t really have a lot of area to prepare food, or store our non perishables. I called in advance and asked for a pack and play for our newborn, and was told they would have one for us. Upon arrival they provided a portable crib and forgot to give us the bottom, and when we put our child in the crib it fell straight through the crib onto the floor. Yikes. Someone came and brought the bottom piece, but we still weren’t thrilled with the crib (and it was too late at night to buy a pak n play). We were told they no longer have pak n plays, only portable/collapsible cribs. There were no hand towels in the bathrooms, there was hair in the tub, and one of the toilets didn’t flush. On the upside, the front desk and housekeeping were very prompt and accommodating, and brought us whatever we needed or fixed things when we called. As mentioned throughout the week things got better. Some upsides to the two bedroom were that there were three bathrooms. Our group had four adults and two children, so all the bathroom space really made for a more pleasurable vacation because we could spread out. Also the bedrooms were very spacious. I’m not sure if it was because we got the downstairs two bedroom which is ADA compliant, but either way we had a lot of room. We also didn’t have any issues with noise from upstairs; I read online a lot of complaints about hearing footsteps but that wasn’t an issue for us. The location is very convenient, and it’ll be even better when the Whole Foods opens across the street. We wanted to use the hot tub but it was outside and not connected to any buildings and we were not up for running through the cold. We were in Tahoe New Year’s eve week and it was an extremely cold week so running back from the hot tub to our room was not desirable. The resort hosted activities during the day, like a bowl of chili for $3 which was nice, even though we never took advantage of these offerings. If we were to come back, and wanted to cook more, I would get a bigger room accommodation with oven and stove. If you have a larger group and plan to be skiiing each day, this resort would be super ideal for you. We only skied 1 day and stayed in the room a lot and it was pretty tight for our group.
While this is not a glamorous hotel, it was clean, the staff very friendly, and the location was excellent, close to both the lake and Nevada. We spent four days including New Years Eve. Woujld recommend to others.
