Old school motel on the main drag in Tahoe City that has been well maintained.

The roof top hot tub with the lake view was worth the stay! Also a very clean, comfortable room. The walls are a bit thin, though.

The man that checked us in was kind and helpful. The hotel is quite old and run down. The room, however, was clean. The cooler didn't work very well. We were so hot in the night that we didn't sleep well. Finally the air conditioning came on once we set it at 60 degrees. The breakfast was only a few pastries. We didn't even go in and get anything.

Has outdoor hot tub? I was told did not use it. May have been inside do not know. I should have looked but thinking it was America's Best value I assumed it would have a refrigerator and microwave in the room. It did not. I re-looked on the site description and sure enough it did not list those items. My mistake. They do give you several restaurant discount coupons though. Other than that good place, hot water in shower fluctuates in the morning. I am a skier so hot water really helps in the morning. Nice staff so all and all good place.

Room was better than expected, better than a normal motel. Breakfast was bare minimum. Lobby was small and I had to wait 10+ minutes and called the number while waiting there for someone to check me in. It was nice to have a outdoor hot tub. Also, it's nice the doors of rooms are inside, not street facing.

Hotel was way better then it's overall rating. Will definitely stay here again!

Friendly staff, clean room, great amenities, walking distance to great attractions, very affordable, and also it was very safe! Highly recommend!

Great view of golf course and forest from room. Walking distance to lake and shopping and dining

Quick check in friendly staff. Bed was comfortable. Firming could be a little smaller and maybe less not much room to move around. But very clean except for the air freshener was a little overpowering. But other then that I would definitely stay again.

I was slightly disappointed in the overall experience as it began with the fact my reservation was confirmed but the motel did not have record of it, they had to contact the company leaving me waiting in the lobby for one hour until they could verify my reservation was valid!.. The owner / manager was apologetic for the delay. The room was as good as could be expected for the age and location but I found it cramped and a bit stuffy as the ac unit seemed not to function after 9:00 pm. This experience was not to satisfactory overall, but I made the most of it and will probably look for a newer establishment nest time..

Staying in this hotel was a nightmare. I booked for 6 people and we got two queen beds.

Exactly meet my expectation. Was happy to stay there.

It is a nice stay for one night at Lake Tahoe. Good location, lake is on the other side of the road and dining in walking distance. Worth its value. But breakfast is too simple.

The room was warm and clean. Shower was warm. The hotel is close to a lot of restaurants. You get discount for some of the restaurants for staying at this hotel. This is the second time we stayed at this hotel. We had very positive experience both times. The staff at the front desk is very friendly and helpful. The only thing that can be improved is the breakfast, which currently is just packaged bakery goods and beverages. Still, not a reason to subtract one star.

The ABVI has a great location in Tahoe City. There are plenty of restaurants, pubs, and markets in wakling distance. The room was clean and average for the price. Nothing spectacular but for $91/ngt I wasn't expecting the Ritz. Since most of today's technology needs charging these days, it would be nice to have a bank or at least an outlet available for charging my phone, computer, Go-Pro, and camera batteriies. The only outlet available was in the bathroom. This seems to be the case in many older motels. I skied at Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows. It was a short drive to both.

Room was ok, facing back of property overlooking golf course. Clean, comfortable bed, rather small bathroom but ok with small shower stall. Near hall icemaker so lots of noise when someone gets ice. Occasional noisy neighbors but not all night long. Overall an ok stay for 3 nights. Great location in central Tahoe City, walking distance to stores, restaurants, shops. No traffic noise and no loud parties.

Very comfortable and the staff was excellent. I would reccomend to all my friends.

A good hotel in a great location. The hotel itself is not something to write home about - the pool is in the middle of the parking lot, the windows open to a hallway instead of the outside air, and the rooms are on the small side, but you can't beat the location across the street from the Tahoe City lakefront public park and within a short walking distance of numerous restaurants and shops.

Older motel, well-maintained & staffed by friendly, helpful people. Across the street from beautiful lakeside city park with excellent walkways.
