I stayed there for 5 nights and my card key stopped working twice during my stay - both time due to wrong checkout dates. How difficult can it be for a front desk person to register a guest for the right duration? Also I asked if the breakfast was included and was told “no”. The morning I checked out I noticed there was a free continental breakfast at the lobby. The room was nice but employees were not professional.

Everything was excellant, however High Peaks loses one star for hot water issues. Most times, we had to wait an extremely long time for the hot water (~5 mins.+) At, the sink, we often gave up and just washed up with cold water. Unfortunate.

For starters you need to add pull shades in the rooms! There was just a sheer white curtain over the sliding glass door! Also, I heard every conversation, phone call etc from the adjacent room! It was like they were in my room. Scent of men’s fragrance was in the hallways and rooms. I think this was the hotels signature scent but it gave me a headache. The view of Mirror Lake was excellent. Because of the spectacular view I gave an Overall rating a 3
