It was a nice hotel. Great breakfast! The photos led me to believe it was on the lake with a beach. It is not, it’s on the other side of a busy street from the lake. The beach is down the road. We discovered a great pool & beach facility that was enjoyable.
other than the following was pretty good: We reserved 2 rooms for 2 nights.Upon arrival we were shown our room, the air condition was switched on by the hotel employee who showed us to our room. After an hour the room was still hot, employee came back fiddled with the controls, room remained hot!!! We called again to please show us how to control the a/c, instead the employee came with keys to a different room. Now we had to pack all our suitcases and move to another room. THAT IS NOT THE END OF OUR STORY BECAUSE SOON ENOUGH WE DISCOVERED THAT OUR DAUGHTER , HUSBAND AND GRANDSON, THEY TOO WERE GIVEN A ROOM WITH NO A/C. Coincidence??I don't think so! Now i have come to beieve that the hotel was stuck with 2 rooms with no A/C and was trying to unload them on someone!! No one, not one single person at this hotel apologized, expressed regrets, No One!! This is a $250 a night hotel in Switzerland!! 4 stars. Fancy Name.:: H4 HOTEL ARCADIA LOCARNO.
