This hotel sadly is let down by its manager. When we first arrived the pool wasn’t ready but they sorted it. The lady at the desk who checked us in was lovely but it went down hill from there. The rooms are dank and musty with old furniture and the air con unit doesn’t work all the time. The laundry washer broke and then the dryer broke although they did sort it with new ones that were free, however trying to get your laundry done after that was a nightmare. The breakfast wasn’t great to start with as it was processed rubbery sausage and powdered eggs and they run out of things and didn’t replace them. We then left for a few days to go to New Orleans and specifically asked for our room to be done only to come back and find that someone had dumped clean towels in our bathroom and then put our do not disturb sign up so our room wasn’t cleaned at all and to add insult someone had used my makeup wipes to wipe off their pink lipstick and left it on the dresser. We complained and instead of our room being cleaned we was asked to move to another room so we had to pack up all its belongings and take them to another room which after a four hour drive we were not happy about at all. Also they didn’t do anything regarding someone using my make up wipes and the manager practically accused me of being dishonest. Then at 7.30am we were rung by the manager who stated we were due to check out when we were booked to stay til the 2/4th so we had to wake up abruptly and go down to sort it out. This is where I am so angry because the female manager was rude and continually wanted to have her say but refused to accept what we said and when we challenged her she threatened to kick us out of the hotel. They made an error but refused to take responsibility for it and when we came to an agreement because of the inconvenience caused the very next day we was rung again and told we owed more money . Again I had to sort it and again was told if I didn’t I would be asked to leave. This whole experience left me very upset and completely ruined my time there. I was due to stay there in May but I will never stay there again as to me the manager should be fired for speaking to guests this way. Even when we checked out she ignored us. I have never been so disrespected by someone and my partner was equally spoken to the same. This is inexcusable and sadly I know this review will probably make no difference as this behaviour seems to usually go unchallenged. I def would avoid this hotel.
On our way to New Orleans we stop by Lake Charles, Louisiana and decided to stay overnight since it was very late at night and we were driving all day from El Paso Texas. The hotel look decent and the price about average for a 3 star hotel. When we went to the room the sofa bed/ pull out had no sheets and had an empty potato chip bag on it , I went to the shower and found a huge cocharoach running out to the room, I immediately kill it and started to search all the room to make sure there was no other coacharoches. Thankfully there was no others. We compliant to the front desk guy and his response was “What do you expect ? You are in the south of Alabama”. I was really upset but I didn’t want to make an scene and left . I will never stay in this place again and I will make sure my family and friends know my history so they won’t stay in this place EVER
I came into the hotel looking for a FEMA room. It was a madhouse because everyone was looking for a room at the time. Mr. Patel took his time to not only secure me a room but also to handle all the paperwork. He was nice and knowledgeable and had a way of putting me at ease. He not only secured me a room he showed me the room to asure that that would fit my needs. I highly suggest this hotel. It is an older hotel but a very well functioning hotel kept very clean with a view of the water. I highly recommend this hotel as well as Mr. Patel for his beyond the call of duty integrity. Thank you Mr. Patel.
Referring to the Indian housekeeping lady who was also making breakfast. She will follow you down the hallway screaming in her language and knock on your door at exactly 10:59am for you to leave. Extremely rude and frustrating dealing with her.Based on other reviews she has a tendency of this behavior, unknown if shes the owner but if not she needs to be fired. TERRIBLE WITH PEOPLE!! She makes the hotel stay feel unwelcome. Everyone else was nice including who seem to be her husband embarrassed trying to calm her down.
We used this as a stopover between Houston and New Orleans to break the trip up. Lovely and clean as well as very quiet. Our first room we were given, the TV didn't work. We were quickly transferred by staff to another room. Too easy. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Loads of eateries nearby, as well as shopping. Would stay here again if on the same route.
Lake Charles Quality Inn. When you first walk in very clean lobby and small breakfast nook for the guests. Continental breakfast consists of sausage eggs biscuits and gravy cereal milk oj toast danish and toast or waffles. Very affordable price. Room was very spacious clean comfortable and relaxing. Would recommend to anyone.
Nice place to stay, nice staff, good and hot breakfast. coffee was so good. Fruits and yogert was added to the breakfast. I was traveling on a business trip. I will select this hotel for my future stay. clean room, close to Casino. close to food places. nice and clean pool. .
Recently renovated under new ownership, very Clean & comfortable, spacious room, friendly staff at the frond desk, all the needed amenities are in the room. Quite affordable room rate with choice privilege points.
Our desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. Our room on the 2nd floor was suppose to be non smoking. It had been sprayed with something and we just couldn't stand the smell. We told the desk clerk and the owner was there and said he would move us to another room. We had a King suite but were moved to a room with one queen bed. The room was clean but the hotel needs updating. It was ok for just one night.
I was very surprised at the condition of this motel. It is in the "old" era even though it looks new from the outside. The air conditioning unit was still in the window and was still operated from the unit, not from a control on the wall. The room was excessively muggy and damp feeling. A light in the bathroom had water in it, due to the fact that there was no fan in the bathroom. No non-slip mat or stickers in the tub and I slipped down on the 2nd day. The room keys were disabled the next day and this was the same for the people across the hall from us. Their key had been disabled each day they tried to get into their room. The bed was horrible and hard. They need to step it up several steps.
